[the video feed cuts on to show a determined looking redhead standing on the beach. she doesn't hesitate once audio connects and it's clear, if only by the way she holds herself, that neither unfamiliar technology or being randomly abducted to some ridiculous "prison" intimidate her very much. when she speaks, she somehow manages to sound authoritative, friendly, and irritable all in one. what can she say? she has skills.]

Hello. I know it seems like it's shaping up to be a busy day this morning but it's also Kitty's birthday. We'll be hosting a party in our flat this evening if anyone would like to stop by. It's a surprise, so please try not to utterly ruin that aspect for her in the few hours between now and then.

[Fastforward to evening and party time. Somehow Ianto has found the time between therapy sessions to get the apartment he and Jack share tastefully decorated and throw together some food and, of course, coffee. He's not sure how many people will be feeling up to this after spending the day talking about their problems but even if no one attends he suspects she'll still appreciate the gesture. He's told Kitty to come over for drinks and talking, conveniently leaving out the bit where people are going to jump out and yell surprise when she arrives.]

[The Loss/grieving therapy group was directed to the pet cafe. There are treats for humans and animals alike as well as activities to keep you busy and sharing and growing.]

DANCE: The sector 2 garden is a little extra pleasant and inviting this evening. Gentle breeze, beautiful flowers, delicious hor d'oeuvres, sparkling punch, and music. And dry. Did we mention it's dry? Not a single flood as far as the eye can see. So, find someone and get out there and dance.]

Having awoken in this place, wearing the atrocious orange jumpsuit, not even a mark on her skin, Angelina thought she had been taken to a place where she would live out all her sins. But when nothing happened to her... Well, she started looking around. So unseemly to be wearing what was not even fit for dock workers...

So she wandered, looking for a clothing boutique. And perhaps a milliner.]

[Video/Action/Open]
[The video turns on to display something many should already be able to see on their own. Yuuri—or a version of him—is floating above the rising waters in a glowing blue sphere. His hair is longer than usual and his eyes are narrowed. His gentle, expressive nature seems wholly replaced by a sharp, commanding presence. He speaks to everyone and no one all at once.]

They threaten those they place in forced captivity without the resources to prevent their downfall. There is no honor or justice in this and those responsible will pay.

[He spreads his arms boldly, eyes glowing. But what follows is not an attack upon the wardens. Instead, the water directly below him begins to bubble. A glowing ring appears on the water's surface and while there are some light ripples extending from the area, more dramatic movement is being prevented to protect those floating just outside the ring on various debris, boats, and rafts.

He lifts his hands upward and items begin to dislodge from the depths below and come to the surface. He raises a small building, pulling the water from it. And then the roof of another building, upturning it. More building materials follow as he assembles an ark of sorts mid-air—aligning and fastening materials and sealing that which was never designed to be air-tight. It's the sort of thing that should be impossible. The sort of thing his magic specializes in creating. And once he is done he places it on the water's surface and sure enough it floats.

His hand sweeps out and some of the people nearby might just find themselves glowing as he begins to levitate people onto the new vessel. No, of course he didn't ask first. There's also a ladder on the side of the ship for people to climb aboard on their own.]

[Action/Closed to Kanji]
[Using his powers has always drained Yuuri and it's even more true within this prison. It isn't long after the construction of the ark that he can no longer transfer people. His eyes close as his features return to normal and he plunges into the water below, unconscious and helpless to save himself the way he tried to save others.]

(OOC: Picture the ark something like this but without the animals and more hodge podge. Feel free to call out in action or video as someone he's trying move or someone who wants to be relocated! He may pass out during some conversations and resume them later as his usual—but exhausted—self. I'm picturing the water to be close to overtaking the floating island at this point.)

[ Perhaps you're a really strong swimmer. Perhaps you've found a canoe to paddle around in, unhooked a door to recreate the ending of Titanic. Perhaps breathing isn't a necessity for you. Perhaps you're already doomed to drown. Whichever your situation, there's one thing for certain.

Right. So I apparently need to lear sympathy, and the wardens decided the best way I can do that is to listen to three different people talk to me for an hour. About whatever they want. So first three to respond, I'll listen to... either through the comms or somewhere else. Like a bar. Bars is good listening places.

[There's no fanfare today. The museum has something about the benefits of sheep's wool. There are no decorations up. The clothing shops have the same sort of stock they had yesterday. And there are no specialized dishes at the restaurants, but you can probably find a power bar at the convenience store, but there's nothing new there.

What is new is whatever power you woke up with or without today. What you do with that is up to you and whomever you encounter.]
