Today has been a better day than most...

You know it's actually kinda nice to get to know people here. Not that I want to pick out curtains and live here forever or something, but the past few days have been oddly nice. I mean I miss everyone back home and we've got so much more to do, but lunch with Jaden was nice.

Also I think I saw Han Solo from my veranda. A true geek girl's dream.

Oh, there's also a dollhouse that I don't know what to do with. Any ideas would be welcome.

Well every time I think I've figured things out something else surprises me. It looks like I am indeed stuck for a while, so anyone know what to do for fun around here?

I need, a really big aspirin, or several bottles of wine ... A face massage maybe? No, that would probably still hurt my brain. I used to wish I knew what people were thinking mostly one person really; can I amend that now? Can I just get one person at a time and not everyone all at once?

Afternoon
Felicity is still reeling from the revelation that Ray hit her with in Jack's shop. Sara was alive, yes, she already knew that fundamentally. Ray had told her that the first day they arrived. Now Sara was here. That was a lot different then just knowing that she was alive. That was knowing that she could run into her at any moment. That she would be faced with a woman that she cared about, that she had been jealous of and that she was still in mourning over. She wasn't sure how she would handle it.

She decided to sit in the park, still eating the lollipop that she had grabbed from Jack's shop and trying not to stare blankly into space. Instead she simply continued to try and process what she'd been told.


Apartment
It's been several hours since she learned about Sara being in the simulation. After she returned home to her apartment and made sure Oliver had enough food and water she set to work continuing on her computer creation with a cup of coffee.

[Laurel switched on the video on her phone and sighed as she made a face trying to angle it right.]

Not too sure I'm doing this right. Anyways, Hi, I'm Laurel Lance! I just arrived this morning.

[She gave a little awkward laugh.]

Morning

Lots of things to do today. Deliver the inventory system, find Ianto and teach him how to use it, if not help him with the stock at the shop, find some raw materials to turn into computer components, and scout out a place to melt the material into parts for said computer components. He had to do everything himself, but he's mostly spending his time in sector 2 to figure out a place within reasonable walking distance between the tech store and the computer lab. He's also gotta find a lab-lab for which to build all of the things he has in mind.

Oh wait, is there icecream? Definitely going to go try every flavor.

Afternoon at Jack's shop.- For Jack, Ianto or Felicity.

Did he think he'd be doing a tech install at a sex shop, really ever in his career? Nope. Not at all. But there's something kinda hilarious about it and right now he's crouching under a table and hooking up one of the computers he's stolen from the computer lab. They can spare a few. Now were's Ianto.

And what the hell is this thing supposed to be? Yes, Ray has crossed paths with a strange looking toy, and he wasn't sure what to make of it.


Evening

He's heading back to his apartment in sector 2 with a few new toys. A chemistry kit, a torch for starters, as well as other hardware and equipment. Plenty of stuff that might look dangerous to the uninitiated. To build the type of tech he wants he needs more control over circuit boards and the like which means having to personally melt metal into connecting strips. So, arms full of mega-nerd gear today.

So we've gone from children's cartoons to what is arguably one of the worst phones on the planet. Oh, and eye wear that anyone who wears glasses can't actually use if they're not fashion glasses.

I'm just going to leave it there. Yeah, right there. With a big exclamation point on 'these people suck'!

You may have noticed a few new changes overnight, one more subtle than the other. We removed the sentinel presence from the dome as it was feeling obsolete. Much like some technology of yours we've updated, replacing your previous headset system with a device and accessory modeled more closely to smartphones you may be accustomed to. This now allows for voice, video and text posts. I know this is a sudden change, but you've already acclimated to so much I'm sure you can handle it.

Oh yes, and I believe you like to finish these things off with a tune.

[Felicity has decided to stick with voice for the foreseeable future. In fact they're probably lucky that she's not using her evil overlord voice. Then again she doubts most people would find it as entertaining as she does. Instead it's just her with her normal boring voice.]

So, I was talking to a guy over these stupid things the other day and he said I needed to get in contact with a Spencer Reid. So that's what I'm doing right now. Spencer Reid, come out and show me what you've got; code wise that is. He said you had code for this place.

My name is Mary. Some of you already know me. Some of you I've already talked to quite a bit, though you probably didn't know it was me at the time. We have a lot to discuss. I value your patience.

Yesterday, an event happened that has been a long time in preparation. Years, longer than any of you have been here but for all those preparations, it was only partially a success. You know me as your captor, perhaps as one responsible for programming the Wardens that keep you here and while that is true, that isn't the whole truth. You see, I've been trying to liberate you. I've worked undercover with the Dome Project for a long time in order to accomplish this and yesterday the moment of action came.

Unfortunately, I failed. I was able to steal the simulation that makes up your world, this world but I was not able to bring your physical forms with me. Don't worry - they're quite safe where they are but while you are no longer in prison, you are still imprisoned. At the moment, there's little I can do to change that without drawing the attention of the very people who wants to keep you in this dome for the rest of your lives. I don't ask for forgiveness, but perhaps patience. I do care about you deeply, dearhearts.

I'm sure this is confusing. I will do my best to answer any questions you may have, but one thing I can say right now - this is not a prison. There will be no rules, no requirements. If you need something, tell me or my colleague and it will be provided to you in due time. You are perhaps not free, but you are free to govern yourself as you see fit. I wouldn't dream of knowing how to do it better.
