[Hello MarinaNova. So for those who have been here, this face might be familiar. For those who haven't, it will now be gracing their camera as he focuses on its lens for a long moment -- almost like he had something he wanted to say before turning the camera on, except he couldn't figure out how to word it.

In the stretch of silence, his ear twitches twice and his little black nose wrinkles with something akin to disgust. His teeth are a little too sharp to be completely canine in nature.]

Same shit, different cage.

[After a few minutes of just sitting there, staring and waiting, his nose twitches again, but this time his lips curl backward in a growl and his ears flatten before the feed is cut.]

[ooc: he is en route to Sector 2 for anyone who wants to meet up with him in person.]

[Closed thread] WARNING: VIOLENCE AND GORE

[The new post office is a sleek Sector 2 building, with sliding automatic doors and tall narrow windows. PM has spent the day scrounging together decorations and supplies beyond what she requested from Conscienti.]

[Her work is beginning to pay off. With each poster, cork board, and notice she finishes and hangs up, it starts to feel a little more like home again. The effect will be complete once she gets Castell's work tank set up so that he can come in with her, but for now, it's just a glass box with sea creature supplies in it.]

[She has her ring on a string around her neck. Not her finger.]

accurate warning

[The little Moment he had on the video feed had been the precise moment he had picked up the prospitian's familiar scent. With the ring functioning again, he had no need to walk to her location. Jack Noir was never one for subtly, but the ever-present itch under his shell wouldn't let him simply teleport in and finish what he started. At least, not right away -- he would attract too much attention where he was.

He wasn't subtle, but he wasn't a complete moron either.

So once he's out of range of prying eyes, there's a flash of green light as he disappears and reappears inside the post office without much warning besides the brief crackle of green mile. He's learned by this point not to give his adversary the opportunity to react, so he lunges straight for her to pin her against the wall by her throat.

Maybe a little forward, but he wants to make sure she's not going to murder him before he gets the chance to get his piece in.]

You left a little early for my tastes.

[The moment the crackle begins, she turns to face him, hand reaching up for her ring. But the force throws her into the wall and now her collar is pinned to shell thanks to his super gross hand. So while she tries to pry it off with one of her own, the other starts yanking at her own shirt to try and reach the ring.]

[She rasps out a reply in the meantime.]
I thought you weren't going to kill me.

I ain't.

[The reply is quick, but the corners of his mouth curl awkwardly thanks to the dog face he sports as he smirks. He twists his grip to release her, but only so he can slash downward and snap the chain holding the ring to her neck. He doesn't care where it goes, as long as she can't reach it easily.]

But I'm a big fan of finishing what I started.

[Noir will then focus his grip on her neck again and turn to toss her away from him to the ground.]

[Throwing her was a good move, because she was already lunging for the ring. Now she's skidding across the floor, a little breathless for the force, and Jack is between her and her weapon.]

[She starts scrambling back, trying to get enough room to get back on her feet. Despite the undignified gasping, she's plainly angry. Whether or not Jack is a man of his word, she isn't about to let him anywhere near her, for any reason.]

[There's not a moment's pause before the sword is out of his chest he's so happy to have his stabs back.]

You ain't much of nothin' without that ring.

[He's not going to move too far away from it yet -- granted, he has every advantage over her in terms of speed and strength, but he's underestimated her cunning enough by now.]

Little girl tryin' to make a big name for herself.

[And she has-- a letter opener. It's not going to do very good, but she's wielding it with pure murderous intent, and she could probably jam it in his eye or neck pretty effectively.]

Better than a little man who's less than nothing without it.

[That's adorable and sharp, a woman after his own heart. His wings fold snugly behind him.]

How's that eye doing, kitten?

Perfectly fine. You didn't even give it a scratch. [Ignoring, of course, the obvious mark his claw left on the shell around it.]

[She starts trying to circle around him. If not toward the ring, then at least toward the door. A place where she has more options.]

[His eyes linger on spot pointedly before they side back to meet her's dead on. Jack isn't too interested in stopping her -- after all, he has an immense advantage in terms of movement speed at the present, so if she gets too close, he can always teleport in the way.]

Suddenly a pretty little liar, huh?

[Eventually, he speaks, grip tightening on his sword.]

Wouldn't do that if I was you.

You asked about my eye. If you wanted to know about the area around it, you should have said so.

[She stops circling, but the look of resolve to give him the mightiest stabbing possible with a letter opener doesn't dim. All she does is glare him down, not even looking at the ring on the floor.]

[He scoffs.]

Hey now, I'm a good sport. I'll even give you a free stab.

[He doesn't put the sword down -- its not like it would make a difference, since he could just return it to his hand at a moment's notice anyway.]

[With that invitation, she lunges. Or really, it's more like she dives.]

[Between his legs.]

[Trying to grab the ring.]

[Oh PM no that was a horrible idea. He sees that she's sliding low, even if he catches what she's doing a little late, Jack turns to teleport to try and pin her to the floor before she can reach the ring.]

Should've taken the stab, baby.

[She turns the letter opener in her paw and sends it on a backswing, hoping she can at least hit him in a shell joint. Maybe not as major or powerful a wound as she could otherwise, but she won't let him walk away without a little pain.]

[If she can help it, anyway.]
Oh, shut up.

[Oh hey, there you go. He howls when it manages to pierce his shell with enough blunt force to start a small trickle of red down his side.]

Too late.

[Now he's butthurt, because she caught him off guard with that and made him make noise, that bitch. He drops the weapon in his hand and reaches for her wrist to try and yank her weapon free.]

My turn.

[If he manages to wrench it free, he will be using it to pin that same wrist to the floor.]

[As much as his scream gave her a pinch of satisfaction, she will not give him the same in return. Even if it takes biting down on her tongue a little.]

[It turns out that channeling extreme pain is a very good way to give someone a look of utter hatred. With only one hand free, she slashes upward toward his face, hoping even just to catch him in the nose or tongue or anything soft.]

[The rage coursing through her right now makes her feel like she could tear him apart with her bare hands, if only she could get a good grip on him.]

[He's not going to let her get that far, though having two hands would make this a lot easier. Jack leans back enough to avoid any lasting damage, but she clips him in the snout, which causes him to yelp again and produce a rather comical expression of surprise and distaste.]

Ok. Fine.

[Two tentacles appear from his sides as he moves, one forcefully pushing down on PM's spine while the other wrestles to keep her other hand out of play.

If she's watching him, he will see that he's grinning again, despite the humiliating yelp that had come out of his mouth moments ago. His paw was no longer bloodied by WV's blood after the many days of rotting in Marina, leaving those horrible pointed claws perfectly pristine and black, if not a bit furry.]

Like I said. I came to finish what I started.

[That's the only warning the prospitian gets before Jack reaches for her face again, but this time, he has much more purpose and precision with his aim. She had been right about one thing -- he had damaged her shell, not her eye itself, but he wasn't going to make that mistake twice. He's not quick about it either (he's going to coax a scream out of her if it kills him) as his claws pinch past membrane with the intent of scooping the delicate organ straight out of its socket like a well-deserved trophy.]

[The tentacles had been worth her attention for all of a few seconds--soon everything in the world was reduced to that intense, horrifying stabbing. Greater than any other wound she'd ever experienced in her life. It nauseated her, both from the awareness of what was happening to her and from the sheer, overwhelming pain.]

[Tears well up, in both the assaulted eye and the one squeezed shut tightly in sympathy for its twin. She kicks her legs, but even distantly she knows she can't play the same trick twice--not only would he be expecting it, but his wings add enough counterbalance that it wasn't even really possible to try.]

[She screams, full-throated and sharp, though even now it is defiant--pained but not helpless, as much angry is it is a physical reaction. Through the more incoherent howling, she manages a few words.]
STOP! STOP!

[He eventually does have to fan out his wings to keep himself balanced through her thrashing. When she barks her commands at him, he merely scoffs.]

Of course, your majesty.

[And then he gives one final tug to pull it free, curling his paw around it in an almost protective fashion.

He never really did get over his little trophy binge. Plus, he could use it as leverage. If she roughed him up too badly, he would just crush it and she would lose all hope of getting it replaced.

If a thing like that was even possible.]

[As soon as his hands and her eye are free, she squeezes the lid shut and clenches her teeth together. PM's breath is heavy and labored. She tries to focus on anything but the pain. How much she hates him. How much she wants him to die. The many, many ways she could kill him.]

[It almost helps the sickening feeling of the uneven, empty feeling in her skull.]

[She does manage to rasp out something beyond the haze of pain.]

You're sick. [And, for good measure, she spits at him.]

[He's so smug that the spit only bothers him for a second. He got what he came for, and got a ton more out of it than he bargained for. Perhaps its to PM's advantage that he completely forgets the ring is in reach, to be taken by him and never used as a tool against him again. He's way too focused on oh my god i just poked someone's eye out.]

I'm Jack Noir, doll.

[And then he leans down and languidly licks her face (affectionately?), across where her nose would have been, and across whatever blood might have been lingering there.

Then he's gone in a flash of green light.]

[She could deal with hating him, with any smug and disgusting thing he would say to gloat or defend what he just did.]

[But licking her face? That's the cherry on the shit cake.]

[PM shudders and rolls over, favoring the side pinned to the floor by the letter opener. She gives in to her nausea.]

[Her poor, brand-new post office.]
