What: Howard Stark shows Mandalus what the Fourth of July is all about.
Warnings: Drinking, fighting, cursing. You know, a party.

On July 4th, Stark Labs suddenly lit up like Vegas. Bright multi-colored in red, blue, and white lights flashed all over the building, and out front, tastefully decked out fountains burst into life. A red carpet - a real red carpet - was rolled out to the front doors that would lead the guests into the smooth and polished white marble lobby of Stark Labs.

Food tables were stretched along the wall - with bbq, tastefully bowled potato salad, and many other summer delicacies. There was a tower of cupcakes in red, white and blue as well. A wine fountain stood in the corner, and the booze flowed free tonight.

Your host is standing at the top of the stairs, grinning out at the party as he opens his arms wide, "Happy American Independence Day! Drink and eat your fill - and dance shoe soles right off!"

Who: Stebe and Clara
What: Not really a blind date

When: The day after Clara arrived

Steve sat in the first empty table he could find and put the mobile telephone on the table. He said that he would, and didn't know what Clara looked like. It seemed logical.

The last blind date Steve had been forced on was the sister of some guy Bucky had met in a bar. He wanted her to meet someone after coming home from Washington and Bucky had volunteered his single roommate. Steve had to put a single rose on the table and wear something red. He'd watched as a pretty dame entered the joint, spot the flower, see Steve, then turn to leave again.

This place, however, seemed to have a different kind of woman in it. Maybe he'd have better luck.

Time had gotten away and when Steve finally managed to slip out from the party, he was pretty sure that midnight wasn't too far away. He'd wait for morning before letting everything sink in properly but at that moment, he was more concerned with finding his room again. Where had Jarvis pointed him to? And should he trust a robot? Maybe if he wandered around, he'd find someone.

Who: Steve and Kirk. And Peggy.
What: Drinking and whatever else happens
Where: Local bar
When: June 15th 2013
Rating: PG for alcohol abuse

The bar was dark and relatively quiet in comparison to the street. It was the kind of place a guy could get lost in if he wanted or even forgotten. Steve was considering both options over a glass of whatever beer they had. It was his heritage: times a good, you drink and if times are bad, you drink harder.

He had found a corner to sit and brood for a while. It seemed that every time he finally had a break, something else happened to bring him down. His Dad finally seems happy and he gets too sick to live any more. A girl finally agrees to go out with him and then she's asked out by the quarter back. The army finally accepts him and he gets transported into another dimension. It was just his luck.

At least there had been a few things to keep him busy. Dames arriving and not knowing where to go. That sort of thing. He'd found a punching bag, but then discovered that his new strength was prone to breaking punching bags. Steve sighed and leaned back in the wooden chair. From where he sat there was a good view of the snooker tables and was that...no...was Miss Carter over the--

CRACK!

Steve tumbled backwards as the back of the chair gave way and the wood splintered around him. As he fell, he rocked the base of the chair so that it slid out from under him and his legs splayed which, in turn, knocked the table over and covered a poor, unsuspecting guy in his undrunk beer.

Steve was halfway through muttering an apology as he stood up to get a better look and...and...it wasn't Miss Carter after all.
