Toss me another crow and call me Grimnir. At least she knows not to shit everywhere. Not sure what the endgame is here but if we're going to face them all off against each other I'm in for it.

This is beyond belated, but consider it a blanket apology for any of my behaviour at the Halloween party last month. I had no idea dressing up would end up being so interesting. And if I aimed any harsh words at anyone, the apology applies doubly. If it helps, I generally don't dress up for things. Or dance. Those things always go badly.

And I'm not normally one to make a remark on the weather, especially since you can't expect every single planet in the Milky Way to have bright sunshine, but the last few days - specifically today - have been quite a lot colder then I would associate with the Las Vegas back home. Or is it just me? I'm not complaining, and it sure looks like Anderson's loving this weather. With his thick and furry coat, I'm not surprised and hope that he'll be able to handle the heat when it hits us again. But as we get even closer to the winter months, we'll all need to be careful when we're out and about. In this place, there's no telling what could happen.

If we ever get back to what passes for regular Vegas I got a lot of plans. I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to sleeping in a bed I can count on. You know how many times I had to reinforce my bed at the Mandalay? None. Not fucking once. Four times already on the piece of shit I've been using here and it still sounds like it's about to buckle somewhere whenever I so much as sit on the damn thing. I'd sleep on the floor but then why bother paying for the room at all? These people ain't even trying outside of guns and drugs anymore.

Other plans include parking my ass in the air conditioning and catching up on Netflix. I thought after Shep grew up again I might be all swimmed out for the next few centuries but I've been ready to get back in the pool for at least a week now. Christ, I really do miss air conditioning. Spent longer without it than I ever did with it over my lifetime but it doesn't take too long to prefer not sweating your balls off.

Mon-El and I have been out searching, and it looks like Cerulean Robotics is gonna be the best place for us all to meet if we want to stay together.

The woman I woke up with this morning looks just like she crawled into bed from straight out of the grave she's been rotting in for the last twenty years. Not that anything around here looks much better, actually, and here I thought I had already seen the shittiest of shitholes. Beatrix, the woman who looks dead and isn't, tells me I've been a bouncer here for years and that I probably did too much jet last night or I'd definitely remember what a great time she showed me. Nice lady, other than being the most hideous, fucking delusional thing I've ever seen. Ain't gonna be winning any singing competitions, either, having a voice like sandpaper the way she does. She's what you call a ghoul, according to her, something about heavy radiation. Too early for me to make any sense of it beyond that.

So here we are, Beatrix the whore ghoul and me, sitting at the bar at 8 in the goddamned morning with Thor, his hammer, and some glowing soda we probably shouldn't be drinking and I'm starting to wonder more about what this jet shit is because it sounds a hell of a lot like something I might not mind getting my hands on sometime soon but Beatrix says I'll need caps for that. Fucking bottlecaps is what they want, how the hell does that even work? And she looked at me like I was the crazy one. Christ, this place. Has anyone been by the Mandalay?

There's a whole strip of casinos out there to choose from. Who's up for it? I'm feeling lucky tonight, could be some of that might rub off on you. Maybe you'll win big, maybe you'll find some poor rich bastard's wallet, at the very least you absolutely will not be fucking bored. I can't remember the last time I was in one place for quite so long, got me feeling restless and I won't sleep a goddamned wink tonight if I don't get some of this burnt off.

Out of everything we've had thrown at us, that was the weirdest yet. Wasn't as bad as my actual childhood, though, so I'll hold off on finding the person who is responsible and punching them - for now.
