He liked this time of night and he found himself out and about on campus. He liked the dark and quiet and he liked the time to think. But lately there was something more amiss and he wasn't sure exactly what it was yet. He knew he needed to make contact with the others like him. Should he make friends with the vampires, something that he fought against so often? That would be determined at a later time he thought.
Jacob relaxed only a little as he sat perched up toward the top of the large statue near the fountain. He didn't want to do any damage to it but it was nice to perch up there and look over the area and he could even hide a bit as most people wouldn't look so high up to find anyone just sitting there. He was stealthy and quiet and remained still for the longest moments at a time.
There were werewolves on campus, close by and he hoped they stayed far away from him. Much as he didn't like vampires, werewolves were a whole other brand of annoyance to him. He didn't hunt them but he wouldn't turn down a fight with one if need be either. Other than that, they didn't have any use for Jacob. He hadn't tried it himself but their blood wasn't exactly human so it was either different but good, or different and impalpable.
A stream of moon light broke through the clouds and fall was really in the air now. He loved it, loved the fall and winter and Jacob closed his eyes and tilted his head up basking in the moonlight as one would do on a sunny day on a beach. There definitely need to be far more nights like this he was sure of that.
