I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. I'm Kevin, and can be reached at kevin.robbins.jr@gmail.com, or on Facebook/AIM chat as Kevin A Robbins Jr. I don't really like AIM however as I'm usually doing a hundred and one things at a time. I'm a strong gamer who has had some experience with a similar format, but am somewhat new to insane Journal.

My character is Lord Arfaron Certhgeredir and is an elf with a serious case of snark. Oh, and he's a good guy. Really. I'd say honest but already you don't believe me. WHY WON'T YOU BELIEVE ME?!?

Hey, everyone! I'm the other new kid on the block, Shrew! And I bring you Carly Doe. Carly is a vampire that doesn't really know where she's going or where she's been, but she damn well knows where she is right now. Most of the time. Sometimes. Actually, not at all. She's uneducated, unrefined, and socially unacceptable. For the last twenty years, she's been working as an assassin thanks to her delightful talent for killing people. But now, one of her closest friends has managed to guilt her into bettering herself by getting an education.

Hilarity will inevitably ensue.

I am up for plot of all kinds! Carly has recently discovered technology and has a snazzy new phone and laptop, so mass e-mails to the whole campus are a definite possibility as she has yet to understand how all this business works. If she gets possession of your phone number, she will text nonstop because she loves the sounds they make. Any local bars will get to know her very well - she's a binge drinker.

Can't think of anything else off the top of my head that could facilitate plot, but if any of y'all think of something, please let me know! :) I am so excited about this game and look forward to meeting all of you!

Hey everybody! This is Rosie. I had been religiously checking my email ever since I sent off my application, and then go figure I had to work all day once I saw that I'd been accepted. But now that I'm finally home, I can put this up.

This is my character, Raina Maris. She's a mermaid and totally loves it. She's a little self absorbed and tends to get easily distracted by shiny reflective surfaces. I would love lines with everyone! Especially a guy friend she can scope out boys with and some girls she can be friends with. Her bio's in her profile but one thing is she doesn't like vampires or the offspring of. Blood suckers make her queasy.

Hey, everyone!

My name is Kathryn, and I'm twenty years of age though I hit the big twenty-one in November. ^^_^^

Anyway, I've been role playing for about ten years though I don't think I really started getting anywhere near decent until I was eighteen ((I've read old role play posts, so my comparison is valid.))

Anyway, I've been role playing in games of Ally's and of Mark's since I was seventeen, and we get along, so it seemed only natural that they point the way toward this game. ^o_~^


Now to talk about my character.

This is Jia Li Adlar, and she's a twenty-year-old dryad. All of her information can be found in her profile, but I'll let you know a little summary about her now.

She's a sophomore with a major in environmental studies. It seemed only natural considering her connection to her tree and to trees in general.

Anyway, she has a bit of trouble trusting people as an ex-boyfriend of hers went psycho and tried to burn her tree to ash ((I know... bad pun considering her tree species is the white ash...)) when she was sixteen. However, she still likes to be social. After all, you don't have to fully trust someone to speak with them or become their acquaintance. Also, just because it takes time to earn her trust, it doesn't mean it's impossible.

She's currently enrolled for the fall term, but I think it makes sense for her to take a summer class to actually have her at Alden. Otherwise, I would have no reason to have her there until this fall since this is played in real time. Of course... I could just have her there to practice dancing and such since she's a part of the women's dance team in her house ((Kemen)).

For potential plot lines, Jia should probably have a few friends she met last year if that's possible, and making new friends is always fun.

She also needs a dorm mate because she doesn't have one. ^^_^^

If anyone can think of any other lines they'd like to have with her that I haven't mentioned, I'm totally open to hearing about it and possibly playing with it.

I should also mention that my instant messaging information is available in my journal to those who I have friend-ed.

They sort of frown on me not introducing myself because uhm, it makes me seem unsociable. So, anyway, I'm Misery, I'm far too old and unfortunately not getting younger, I've been rping for like... 15 years or something horrific. I've played more or less everything once already, as 15 years is a hella long time, so this isn't my first trip around the race track, obviously...

Anyway, Des is a dhampir, and a somewhat quiet one at that, so I'll probably be looking for people to collaborate with to force social interaction on him, because, well, I just love to torture my characters like that.

I'm Luca, and it's been a while since I've done any RP. But this game looked like fun, so I'm going to give it a shot. My Aim SN is the same as this journal, Icarus Blinded. Easy, no? I can't say I've ever RP-ed anything with supernatural beings though, so this should be interesting.

My boy's name is Xan, and he is one very confused Nephilim (half angel, half human). There wasn't much information I could find on his type either. I decided he'd probably have a mix of human and angelic qualities, unlike Dhampirs who tend to 'often have the powers of a vampire with none of their weaknesses'. He's still not very used to his true nature and even, in some ways, resents it.

I tend to keep weird hours, as I work night shift. I'm on PST and I'm usually up from 3pm-6am. Despite that, I'm always up for plotting, planning and mayhem. :3 Give me a poke on Aim anytime.

Hello to all!

I'm Alpha, a kind of older byrd who is just crazy about these rp games and writing.  I am bringing my new boy to the game.

His name is Tobias Cohen.  He is a genie, from an area sort of parallel dimensions to Lebanon.  He is a full genie, and sort of tried to sow his oats when he turned 18.  It backfired, and he got himself bound to a bottle.  Thus humiliated, he must go to college to appease the parents.  He has nothing against humans, or college or anything; he just wanted to explore the genie world first on his own terms.

Well, he is House Naur.  He needs a roommate.....and he is taking classes to learn more about humans and other beings.  Right now, his disposition is a bit more grumpy but he is normally a mischievous kind of guy and once he gets feeling a bit better about everything, expect MISCHIEF.  Like most genies, he can go to smoke, become invisible and turn into other animal forms.  This makes for great tricks..etc.....

My pup is Davan. He is a demigod and the son of Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of Love, Lust, and the Arts. He is very flirtatious, very out there...he likes being noticed, he likes making people laugh and smile and be happy. Hi Everyone! I'm Jessica. I've been roleplaying for well a while now. And I was so thrilled to see this game come up. Love the premise but more important to me, it's run by some of my favourite people.

I do know a few of you and hope to get to meet the rest of you too.

As for my characters here, this is Jacob Astoria. He's a Dhampir who's father was a vampire and his mother is human. He's a sophomore and and English Lit major. He has most of the powers of a vampire but can be out in the daytime, he's just not as strong as at night. He likes the paranormal and learning about not only his own race but the others as well. He and his father didn't get along well to say the least so he has tried to distance himself from vampires. He hasn't found his mate, male or female, as of yet as they mate for life so he tends to stick to animal blood; he hasn't done much of anything, yet*G* I think that's all. I'm totally open for anything and look forward to playing with everyone.

Some know me, some don't. I'm Cailin! I play a vampire (Are you shocked? Pretend you're shocked.) named Autumn. I'd like to say I'll just be playing her, but I've sung that tune before *pokes at dead!Cerah and dead!Jesse*

But, yeah, Autumn. She's only nineteen with the body of a sixteen-year-old. As a human, she was adopted by everything's-got-to-be-perfect parents, and then when she was turned, she ran away to live with her sire, Erick. Autumn has zero interest in attending school or being social, but Erick, who's a big contributor to the school, wants to get her involved in the world instead of hiding away from it. She can be dark and moody, and is a bit self-destructive when she's alone and frustrated.

I know, she probably doesn't sound very fun, but I plan on having her get a grip sooner or later.

Hi Everyone! I'm Mark (Mod #2) and I've been Role Playing for awhile. The White Wolf games, Sword & Sorcery, etc. I've played in several journal games, mostly ones I've modded, along with Ally and our friend, Jase. We've modded a variety of games, vampires, werewolves, panfandom, gods & Goddesses, etc. We've even done the fey/supernatural, but not quite in this format, with the university and human awareness and all, so I hope this one is as successful as the others have been.

I know some of you and those I don't know, I'm excited to meet!

Now, let's meet my characters:

Brandon Kane apollo_son is a demigod with the power to emotionally affect others with his singing; he is the son of the Greek god, Apollo, and a human woman. He has only met his father twice, but both meetings were memorable. His mother raised him to be kind to others and to be humble about his paranormal abilities. Eleanor Kane was successful with her boy; he never treated a human like he was better because of his superior strength, speed or intelligence, but one thing Ms. Kane couldn't train out of her boy was his godlike libido. He is a junior at Alden University and well known on campus.

Whippersnapper whip_r_snapper is a pixie with all of their abilities and flaws. He's a caring, thoughtful sort, devoted to his younger brother, Raggamuffin, and fond of helping humans he deems worthy of deserving help. He also is quite fond of pranks and that is pranks on a grand scale; he's not just fond of pulling these pranks, it's actually a compulsion. Whip makes sure to find those deserving of such pranks before he lets loose though. He's in his freshman year and very excited to be at Alden U. To make his name fit on the forms, he has altered it to Whip R. Snapper.

Tanner Koskinen just_tanner is a human boy beginning his freshman year at Alden University. He comes from a family where he is the eldest of six children and his father left them when he was nine years old. Tanner tried from that point on to be the man of the family, getting a job as soon as he was able and working hard, turning his full check over to his mother. He continued to pull straight As at school while he worked and never bought anything new for himself. He is at Alden, due to a special deal worked out with Dean Alden himself. Tanner is looking forward to attending the University, hoping his insecurity and shyness won't hold him back.

Gideon Whyte prof_witch is a Professor of Anthropology and a witch with earth-based powers. He was raised in Stratford-upon-Avon, England by an English father, who was also a witch, and a Chinese mother, who practiced Chinese Traditional Medicine. He was quiet and studious as a child with a ravenous hunger to learn; he is still the same. Gideon is kind and helpful to his students, especially to those who show a real interest in learning. To those who don't take his classes seriously, he has no patience.

I'm really excited about this game!

Hello, everyone! I'm Jen, and I think I know most of you but probably not all. Anyway, let's see, about me. I have been roleplaying for far too many years now, starting off with pen and paper DnD campaigns, moving online. I started off with asterisks ages ago, which I'm sort of ashamed to admit, but there you go. We all have to start somewhere, right? Um, I'm in the PST timezone, and... I think that's about it. Let's move on to the characters!

First, with this journal, we have Keith Summers. He's from Northern BC, Canada, so he's got a bit of that small town thing going on. He has family issues and is more or less estranged from all of them. He's quiet and brilliant and in the pre-med program. Oh, and he's a water based witch, though the only spells he'll use are healing. He needs friends, and I'm considering getting him a job at least for the summer, so any suggestions for that would be great.

Alright, and then we have Dr Kathryn Munroe scientific_kat, a lycan, more specifically a panther. She's a science lover, particularly astronomy, that had her dreams of working at NASA crushed and has turned to teaching as a secondary career. Her doctorate is in physics, and she's brilliant, cold, and controlled. Um, what else... oh, she's Wiccan. So while she might consider herself a witch, she has no magical powers outside of what was given to her by lycanthropy.

I'm Ally, one of the mods. I take care of the website and mod journal for the most part. Just a little about myself... I'm old enough to be your mother. Okay, maybe not, but I'm old. I've been RPing for about 12 years all total. I started out on AOL in chat rooms and over IM. I moved to message board games briefly before I moved to journal games about four years ago. I've modded most of the games I've played in, so I have a lot of modding experience. I've been married for six years, I have no kids, but I do have two cats which is almost the same thing. I'm currently going to school for a multimedia degree (graphic design, photography, video, web design, etc.) and my passion (aside from RP) is music. I also have a habit of taking the limit in characters. I, of course, have the limit now, which is four. Let me tell you about them:

This journal is for Britta- she's an Eleionomae which is a marsh nymph. She's very flirtatious, especially around virgin boys (which is starting to become extremely hard to find). But she likes girls, too. She's majoring in Biology and likes the marshy places. She's a Sophmore this year. House Kemen.

her_own_skin is Marie- she's a selkie. She's very shy around humans, and doesn't especially enjoy big crowds. She's wary of getting to close to anyone, but she's really great once you get to know her. She works at an ice cream parlour as a waitress and is currently majoring in Oceanography. She's a junior in House Shae.

the_gymnast is Dannika- she's a human. She's in House Naur cause her sign is Leo. She's overly bubbly, loves gymnastics and music and is somewhat naive. She's adopted and thinks a crazy night is a sleepover with friends. She's a Freshman this year. Like other humans, she carries a talisman that keeps her from falling in love with every supernatural around. She's majoring in Applied Technology because she can't major in gymnastics.

demon_art is Isabelle- she's a demon. She's also an art professor at Alden. She hates to be around more than one or two people at a time and prefers to be alone if possible. She sort of suffers through her classes. She's old, around 260 or so and has been teaching at Alden for 100 years now. She controls a nasty disease called Porphyria. It affects the nervous system and the skin and makes the victim's urine and bowel movements purple! She also has the ability to figure things out about a person or object by licking and smelling them.

They're all mostly finished except for their backgrounds. But once they're finished I'll be ready to play! Looking forward to this game and playing with all of you!

Hi everyone! I haven't seen any posts on the OOC board yet, so I thought I'd take the first step and introduce myself. My name's Matt. I'll be playing Alissa, the politically and environmentally conscious elf woman. She loves being outdoors, and loves most types of music almost as much. Her major is in environmental science, and she's got a few other classes there. She can usually be found outside of classes in the school library, or working in the Radisson hotel on Elm street.
