WHO: Ginny Weasley and OPEN
WHAT: Ginny leaves her house to pay a visit
WHERE: St. Mungo's
WHEN: Sometime in the late afternoon
WHY: Because SOMEONE needs to play Mum over there
RATING: PGish?
STATUS: incomplete

Ginny had finally convinced herself that it was alright to leave her children for a few hours in order to go pay a visit to Mungo's. Well, okay. Harry had helped a LOT with that convincing bit and she was only going to stay for a little while because she still had that horrible feeling in her stomach that hadn't really gone away since Hermione's murder. The same feeling that she hadn't felt since a few months after the war. They were supposed to be past this. They were supposed to live happily ever after...

Not allowing herself to dwell too much on what could happen, she was forcing herself to dwell on what was happening. Her sister-in-law was still unconscious. Bill had likely been there every moment since he'd gotten back from his trip and probably hadn't had a bite to eat in the meantime. As much as Ginny hated the thought, she knew her mother wasn't there to force food down his throat, and if she knew her brother well enough, she knew that he wasn't about to let anyone else force food down his throat for him. That was why she'd come equipped with a basket filled with sandwiches and and cookies and a pitcher of lemonade. If nothing else, preparing it all had given her something to think about and focus on, which was always a good thing.

She rounded a corner in the hospial and found herself right where she needed to be. "Well that was a first." she mumbled to herself. She was used to being lost in that building. She gave a look around the corridor for any sign of a familiar face.

Sabrina had let Aunt Gabi watch the kids for a minute while she got some area, some alone time. All she could think about was the last conversation she had with her Mum, it was terrible, like most of them were. She'd fought with her, told her she wasn't that great of a Mother if she didn't get why Quidditch was so important to her, and she already had her perfect little girl in Vicky so why did she need to try and be that too? She'd had a rant about that in an owl... And now her Mum was in a coma and she didn't know if she'd ever get the chance to tell her that she loves her... Always have loved her, always will love her.

Sabrina found herself against a wall. She leaned back against it trying to hold herself together, hold herself up. But she snapped she couldn't hold the tears back, she couldn't hold the fear back anymore. She really just wanted Sam to be around. At least she knew she could curl up next to him and cry and he wouldn't judge her, he'd hold her.. He'd make sure she was oaky, but she was pretty sure he wasn't allowed to be there.

instead she sank against the wall finally letting all of the tears fly out of her again. The same words she'd said to her mother running over and over again in her head. How could she have been so mean to her? Didn't she know how much she really did love her? What if her Mum didn't know that? What if she really did think Sabrina hated her. What if she died thinking that?

There she was, the eldest daughter of Bill and Fleur Weasley sitting on the floor in a ball crying her eyes out... Hoping no one would see her, but secretly hoping someone would come hug her.

It wasn't long before Ginny spotted a familiar head of blond hair curled up on the floor off to the side. After just a moment, she realized just what that could've meant and rushed over, dropping the basket onto the floor before crouching down and pulling her niece into her arms.

"Oh, Sabs." She breathed softly, hugging the little girl close to her and kissing the top of her head. "Shh, it's alright." She soothed, knowing that it probably wasn't alright at the moment, but praying with everything she had in her that it would be alright.

Ginny wished in that moment that she could absorb every last bit of pain that Sabrina was feeling right then. She'd gladly shoulder it if it meant that the tears which were now soaking through the red head's shirt would be gone.
