molly & fleur
WHO: Molly Weasley (NPC) & Fleur Weasley WHAT: Lunch followed by a coma and a death. WHEN: Saturday, Nov. 19th WHERE: The Leaky RATING: PG STATUS: Done
Fleur knew she needed to talk someone about her eldest daughter and her never ending battle to talk to her, it never seemed to work. She finally gave in and figured Molly would have a better idea of what to do. Fleur did not like admitting she didn't know what to do, nor did she really like the Leaky Caldron, sure it was alright, but it was tacky, she would have rather gone to a classy place... However this was probably better for Molly. Fleur respected her mother-in-law; she just didn't really like lesser places even to this day.
Fleur agreed to meet with her around 2-3 p.m. that day. She showed up elegant as always. She as a little bit early, taking a seat she waited for Molly to show.
Molly Weasley was surprised, but pleasantly so, to be invited out with Fleur. Sure, they had grown closer since Bill's attack all those years ago, but Molly always worried her in-laws felt her suffocating and nosey. True, she could be, but she meant no harm. She strode through the Leaky looking a bit more dressy than usual, but still the same old Molly. She made an effort to look better since Fleur always looked stunning. "Hullo, love!" She scooped to kiss the woman's cheek. "How are you, dear?"
Fleur kissed her checks smiling politely. "I'm doing well. I trust you are as well no?" She asked, with half a smile. She was nervous about what she had to talk about, Sabrina was a problem, she loved her daughter, but the never ending annoying attitude of her was never ending.
Fleur sat back down pushing her perfect blond hair back, if someone asked her about she'd never admit she wondered what it would be like to have bad hair for a day.
Molly wasn't expecting to talk about attitudes, but she'd be thrilled to know Fleur wished her advice. She settled her heavy self into the seat across from her daughter-in-law, still beaming. She took a quick sip of the water that was waiting and nodded at the query. "Very well! Oh, a bit lonely without all the children, but we make sure to get the grandchildren often enough." She reached out and patted Fleur's cheek lovingly. "How's Bill? The kids?"
Fleur nodded. "Yes, it does get quiet fast." She agreed with a shrug. "The kids are doing well, they are being well for the most part. Damien is happy at school, those at home are being a handful still but doing very well. And rumor has it that Sabrina has her first boyfriend." She said leaning back. She wanted to know what to do when her daughter wouldn't talk, but figuring out how to express those problems to anyone outside of Bill was a problem.
Molly's face registered with concern as she mentioned a boyfriend. "Oy, a bloke? Already? Who is the lucky fellow?" She could only imagine how worried and protective Bill was feeling. She had worried about all her children dating, but especially Ginny.
Fleur shrugged slightly. "I am not sure, if I were to guess it would be Samuel Li, but she has not told me, and I do not think she has told Bill." But Bill was better at keeping her secrets. Fleur had to share stuff like that. She needed to figure all of that. "She will not talk about it, not to mention gets angry over the smallest of things."
"Samuel Li…" Molly wracked her brain, trying to recall who the boy was. "Is that Su Li's son?" She'd have to look into it; only the best for grandbabies, after all. She smiled as the waitress took their order, but then frowned when she turned her attention back to Fleur. "Oh, I remember that age well." She shook her head, chuckling.
"That is her son, he is a year above in the same house," she said crossing her arms. "I do not know much of him, he does seem to be a good boy from what I have heard. They grow up to fast no?"
"That they do." Molly's face took on as wistful expression, remembering all the years with her own little ones. Well, they weren't so little anymore, but, nevertheless, they'd always be hers. "Why we need to enjoy every moment with them, Fleur. Every moment." She sipped the warm tea the waitress brought. "Very good," she murmured.
"It is hard to enjoy the moment when the girl snaps at very little thing." She wasn't going to tell Molly she thought her daughter was angry too much. She was angry too much, she was a little bit of a terror in her own way. "I honestly do not know what to say to her at this time."
"Sabrina?" Granted, they had been discussing the girl and her boyfriend, but Molly wanted to make sure she was following. She drummed her fingertips on the table, attempting to figure out what Fleur meant.
"Yes, Sabrina." Was it really that hard to follow her? Fleur did not show her anger, or her frustration or any of it. She didn't know what to think about anything. Fleur did not see the problem with it, they were talking about Sabrina, how would she switch out of no where? She always did that to people here in England. It was a time that she really missed France. People actually got her.
Molly didn't think she didn't understand Fleur; she just wanted to not make a fool of herself since Fleur was so much worldlier than she. At Fleur's affirmation, Molly nodded again. "I see. Sweetheart, this age is a rather difficult one." She patted the woman's hand affectionately. "You know I wanted to murder mine sometimes?"
"My son never causes such a problem, she is always angry and cranky. Not always, but most of the time yes. She snaps at nothing." She said shrugging slightly. Fleur was just not sure how to deal with all of it. She was never positive what to think about all. "They love to be annoying, I think kids do it for the hell of it."
Molly enjoyed a good chuckle at that. "Yes, I seem to recall Ginny be worse than the boys too. Though Ron did give her a run for her money…" She cocked her head, studying the pretty blonde before her. "It's natural, you know. She's testing her boundaries, pulling away. You just have to keep loving and supporting her and, I promise you, it'll pay off in the end."
Fleur nodded at her slightly. "I do not know how to deal with it all at this time. It is as if I can't talk to her at all." She said shrugging again, it felt like a day of shrugging. Fleur was just nervous about it all. She needed to deal with things her own way, she got that. But Fleur could not even talk to her daughter at this point. She waved over Tom ordering tea before turning to look at Molly again.
"Well, what do you try and talk to her about, dear?" Molly accepted her hot plate of food with a smile and 'thank you' as the waitress disappeared to her other tables again.
"Anything, the day, the weather, the sun, boys, school. I don't know what to think." She said shrugging slightly. Fleur was not sure what to think about it. Fleur nodded to the women as she placed her tea down in front of her. Fleur was not hungry as of yet, but she did love her tea in the afternoon.
Molly took a bite of her chicken, thinking over Fleur's concerns. Oh, how difficult that time of her life had been; she wished she could make the woman see it would get better, but it was something every mother came to in her own time. "Maybe you should wait and see if she comes to you first? Maybe…stop trying so hard?"
Fleur sighed slightly. "It would be easier if she wasn't exactly like her father most of the time. She argues with both of all the time." Actually Sabrina was a lot like her, she just didn't see it as easily as others people. She didn't want to see it most of the time, it was confusing to her.
"She's the best of you both," Molly admonished. "Right now, she's just dealing with becoming a woman. Weren't you moody at that age? Merlin, I drove my mum nuts!"
"I rarely talked to my Mom, I was focused on school and getting ahead." She shrugged slightly. She was never close to her mother. She got along with her, but not on the close level the Weasley families liked.
"Hmmm, think that's what Sabrina might be trying to do? I'm not excusing disrespect, but...children are growing up too fast these days." Molly polished off her vegetables. "Dear, you need to eat."
"You are probably right." She said waving some over ordering whatever it was Molly was having. It didn't take long for her to get her food. She took a bite before looking back up. "It is hard to know what is right."
"Welcome to motherhood," Molly cracked, glad the girl was making an attempt to eat.
Fleur nodded. "It is a different world, that is for sure. It is easy when they are little." She honestly started to hop that her youngest wouldn't be as hard.
Fleur wasn't exactly sure what had happened but she was starting to feel a little bit off, she tried to put it off, put off all of it.... But she couldn't focus on what Molly was saying. She'd been talking about Sabrina? She thought she was, but everything was getting bright, it was as if the light was taking over everything.
The next thing she knew, she was trapped in the dark, or a dream. Fleur was done thinking, reacting, or moving.
Her body had stopped working, she didn't know what to think.
Molly's eyes grew wide as Fleur seemed to blank out. She quickly jumped up, but was stunned when her own legs gave out. Then, Molly too, felt nothing.
