SUSPICIOUS DEATHS OCCUR AT MUGGLE PUB
Four dead and several injured after what Muggles call gas explosion

Aurors are investigating what are being deemed as several 'suspicious' deaths in Wark-on-Tweed, Northumberland. Amongst the dead are Isaac Fenwick, a Muggle, aged 58; Henry Turner, 42, a Squib living in the area who passed as a Muggle; and two Muggles. Several others were injured in what is being called an attack by the Auror department, including Meadhbhi Fenwick, 54, a witch.
While there are no suspects in these deaths, which are being investigated as a 'natural gas explosion' by Muggle authorities, it was reported that the same green figure that was seen over King's Cross train station and the Olson home was spied over what remained of the inn.
"It's a real shame, that," a local told the Daily Prophet. "The Fenwicks're decent folk, even got their boy going to a special school. Real bright one, him."
Other witches and wizards in the area evidenced concern over what seems to be a growing trend within the wizarding community.
"They're people, and good ones! Wasn't a better man than old Isaac, even if he were a Muggle. It's a shame, pure and simple. And that green thing. Merlin, reminded me of King's Cross and I got the jitters," said Merys Witherspoon, a witch from the area. "Don't know what's going on, but I wish the Ministry'd do something about it. It's rubbish, that's all."
Several statements were given to Ministry personnel on the scene that at least two masked and robed figures were seen Apparating away. |
