Christy-Anne West
Character Information
Name: Christy-Anne West
Nickname: Chris
Age: 30
Birthplace: Mysteria
Sex: Female
Occupation: Masseuse
Appearance: A pretty brunette with Hazel-Green eyes and cute pale freckles, Chris is a very girly looking lady. However she usually dresses down and wears casual clothing. She also usually has some random spot of dirt on her clothing or even her skin because she is such an outdoorsy person. She generally has her hair long now and doesn’t do anything more to it than wash and brush it. She rarely wears make-up trusting her natural beauty to shine through even though her skin at times is a little shiny and oily. But hey, soaps good enough. She’s pretty slender although now she’s getting a little older has slight weight on her hips and ass; fortunately it’s the nice curvy, squishy kind that makes her look good.
She has a tattoo on her butt of a unicorn
Personality: Ever met one of those people who seem to have done everything? Well Chris is one of those people. She’ll regale you with hours of stories of things she’s done, places she’s been, some people don’t like it though. Think it’s smugness when it isn’t!
She’s not the smartest cookie but she’s not dumb either, okay…she’s a little daft! She’s managed to become pretty street wise and has a great deal of common sense. She’s cheeky but friendly and engages with almost anyone. Sometimes it can be hard to shut her up if you’ve given her a chance to speak.
She’s a little absent minded and ‘scatter brained’. She can get giddy, slightly overly at times but to some people it’s adorable.
Her travels have left her with a sort of karma belief. She tries to do as many good deeds as she can in a day, nothing like saving lives and being somebody’s Clarence, but opening a door for a little old lady is enough to top up her karma!
Special abilities/talents: Circus skills ((juggling, plate spinning, stilt walking, fire dancing, puppet making, balloon modelling, belly dancing, face painting, ball balancing)) outdoor pursuits skills ((kayaking, abseiling, pot holing etc)) meditation, yoga, tai chi
Supernatural Affinity:
Species/Group: Human Psychics
Power(s): Telekinesis
Level: Level 3: Handling several medium size objects at once or large objects is not a problem.
History:
Christy-Anne was given a brake after school. One a lot of people would kill for. (She deserved it after the name she was christened with though.) She was given a gift of a huge amount of money from her Great Aunt with specific instructions that the money was not to go on College or anything sensible; it was to be used to explore the world and have fun.
Her Aunt had been a nurse, she had never gotten married or had kids. Her life was her work and it was only as she got older she realised that had been a waste. When she retired her health was too bad to travel so she couldn’t enjoy all of the money she had been saving up. So she decided her family should get the chance to enjoy themselves while they were still young. So before she died she wanted to give them the money so she could enjoy how they used it. Christy-Anne chose to travel with her money.
She travelled to Cambodia, Malaysia, India, Nepal, Thailand, Russia, Turkmenistan, Holland, Germany, Poland, Lapland, Czech Republic, Austria, Romania, Bulgaria, Sweden, Norway, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Egypt, Kenya, Botswana, South Africa, Madagascar, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Australia, and New Zealand: All the time sending postcards and photographs back to her Aunt in Mysteria. She kept journals and sent them back when she had filled the books so her family could read what she had been up to. None of the gritty details left out.
The travelling did take up a number of years but eventually she ended up back in America moving back to Mysteria for a very brief while but then went off on her own again to do a tour of the States.
She learnt quickly to take whatever meaningless and mindless jobs were available to her as she travelled from place to place. A number of restaurants employed her as a dish washer which was actually a quick way to make cash. But she never stuck to one place for too long.
Working her way around the country she found herself ending up in Washington working with a Children’s workshop teaching Circus acts. She enjoyed that job enough to stick about for a bit. She wasn’t there long when she met a nice lady and a slightly whirlwind relationship started up and she was a little swept away by Jennifer. So when she had been asked by her to move to Europe when Jennifer was offered a good job of course she said yes.
She became a house wife of sorts. She did a few odd jobs but nothing ever really suited her in Switzerland. She had her things sent to her along with all her old journals and photographs and began to write a number a story about her travels but using her Great Aunt’s name as the character. Of course she’s never really finished it, it’s an ongoing project.
She did come back to America briefly for her Great Aunt’s funeral but then it was four and a half years in Switzerland with Jennifer. She was shocked at herself how long she did actually stay with Jennifer. But by the last year of the relationship she realised things had fizzled. Jennifer’s life was all about her job and she was feeling neglected and no longer needed. Jennifer couldn’t keep up with Chris’s constant need for change and excitement either. So they came to an understanding and the break up was mutual. But it did mean Chris was without a job or anywhere to live in Switzerland. So she used all of her money to travel back to the States and then get the bus fares to head back to her birth town.
Now she’s mooching off of a relative and working as a masseuse at the spa and part time at Curl up & Dye to earn enough to move out in to her own place.
Flaws:
Distracted- It’s no so much to do with shiny things, but she never really seems to complete a task in one go. She tends to just get distracted easily.
Coulrophobia: Fear of clowns. Okay, it’s not quiet a phobia but they give her the heebie-jeebies. Even just pictures of them makes her shudder. She just thinks people who chose to be a clown are just weird.
Emotional: No matter how hard she’s tried, she doesn’t seem to be able to just switch her emotions off. Which can be rather iffy with her abilities. It’s another reason she’s moved around so much. She’s let loose a few too many times with wrong people.
Shut up! Okay she has a bad habbit of chatting away…constantly. Like she’s scared to be quiet. She doesn’t talk when she’s asleep, she doesn’t think.
Merits:
Street wise: Okay, she’s a little scatter brained at times and impulsive, but she manages to be able to judge situations when she really needs to.
Jack-of-all-Trades – She’s been almost everywhere and had to learn a lot of skills. She may not be an expert on most things but she can fix a jeep with a pair of tights, she knows how to strap a dodgy leg and where to find safe drinking water. She’s pretty handy and isn’t scared about getting dirty. In fact, she relishes being in the mud.
Sexual Orientation: Gay
Preferred PB (played-by): Evangeline Lilly
