Occupation: Cultural research anthropologist yes, I totally stole that from Bitten because it works so damn well. Mostly he just tinkers with cars though.
Appearance: Scruffy, the rugged kind of handsome with dark eyes that go from fearsome to playful, Connor can look both menacing and charming at the same time. He's six foot one inches and muscular. Not reedy but not stocky either, just a comfortable space in between.
He dresses the most basic he can get. T-shirts and jeans if he has to wear clothes at all.
Personality:
Big bad wolf coming to growl near you. Saying he's not the friendliest guy is fairly accurate, gruff and cold when you first meet him and long after. The only people who know better is the pack, whom he's actually fun and kind to.
However he never lets himself get too close. He prefers to be alone for the most part, but takes his responsibility to the pack very seriously. Anyone even looks shifty at them, he asks Jeremy for permission to make sure they're no threat.
Connor likes to spend time quietly by himself, or pushing himself to the limit. Whatever he is, he's usually a solitary creature unless it's another werewolf or just plain were.
Special abilities/talents: Connor is actually smart. Highly so. His parents even wanted to enroll him in a special academy in New York, but he refused to leave the Pack.
Supernatural Affinity: Species/Group: Born werewolf Power(s): Those of a wolf, excessive strength Level: Subordinate Affiliation/Rank: Beta Preferred Prey: Anything that endangers the Pack, when hunting as a wolf, just deer, rabbits, the usual.
History: Born the first and only son of Evan and Kayla Abrams, Connor was a brilliant child from a young age. His parents, little sister all were equally academically inclined and encouraged that. His sister wanted to be a doctor. He would read with her big medical texts and words they could barely pronounce, laughing. The four of them were a good family, one he loved.
When he was sixteen, he met his mate. Alicia was beautiful, smart, everything he wanted. They lived blissfully, their whole lives planned out. They both wanted children, big families, all of it. He went to school to become a professor when his life was snatched from underneath him.
A group of hunters, normal humans out shooting for spot, destroyed his family. Alicia, his sister, his parents, all dead. Connor was away at college during this time and has never forgiven himself for not being there.
He came to Jeremy, broken and needing a place to turn and has stayed ever since.
Flaws: Connor is very intolerant of humans. Until he's actually forced to get to the know them, he dislikes them and is hostile immediately. Even when he does and actually is forced to admit the human he's met isn't bad, he believes they're exceptions, not examples.
Connor sometimes is smart for his own damn good. He's always thinking about doing things ten steps from now, not the moment. That can not only make you angry, but aggravating, and he's easily angered at people.
It also makes him think that most people are predictable. He doesn't have a superiority complex, he's just hard to entertain. So he'd say.
Merits: Connor is academically intelligent at genius levels. Lightning calculator, physicist, anthropologist, literature professor all in one.
There isn't a lot that makes him flinch. Ask him to go talk to a faerie or protect the pack? You get the same reaction: "Alright then. Let's go."
