Nickname: Princess (with a name like that and life like hers? It was unavoidable)
Age: 18
Birthplace: Los Angeles, California
Sex: Female
Occupation: Student
Appearance: A petite little thing, Ava is what is thought of as your stereotypical 'cheerleader' type. A The fact that she is a cheerleader has nothing to do with it though. Her hair is hangs long in wild, uncontrollable curls, that suit her perfectly. She loves it, as they're a reflection of her personality. Californian from birth, she's got the tan of a girl who likes to hang out in the sunshine and bright blue eyes to match.
She's very casual clothes wise, but has a fun taste and a bit of an inner rocker feel going. She loves to match concert t-shirts with mini skirts and such. She's finally free of her mom who made her dress as preppy as possible and is getting more confident showing who she is on the outside.
Personality: Ava Princeton isn't your average princess. She's not vain or snobby in the least, and has friends from every end of the popularity spectrum. She's got that California laid-back attitude, and is a very cool person to be around. Sympathetic and always there for her friends and family, she's loyal to a fault. Sometimes she'll get too angry on behalf of the people she cares about. She's playful, has a good sense of humor. She's always trying to make a joke or say something to lighten up intense situations. Sometimes she babbles when nervous, but can't help it.
It's really easy to make her feel guilty as she has an intense ability to blame herself for things. She always had to be the best, the brightest, the prettiest, the smartest, both due to her mom and her own self doubt. Because if she wasn't all these things, who was she? It's something she's trying to find out.
Special abilities/talents: Graceful and flexible, Ava's got more than cheer leading skills. Her mother put her in every dance, gymnastic, and performance class she could since the girl was old enough to walk. If she trips? It's likely because someone stuck their foot out, not because she dared get clumsy.
History: Ava Princeton was the child of the prom king and queen, everyone's favorite couple. When her mother Macey got pregnant with her, she put her dreams of being an actress on the back burner because it was expected of her, and Jeff provided the best home he could because it was expected of him as well. Macey may have resented Ava for this at first, but came to love her daughter...enough to live vicariously through her as well.
She and her father shared a close relationship that Macey was always envious of, especially when she took up martial arts and asked only her dad to join her. It was their time together, their own thing without her mom.
She knew her parents were unhappy together and Macey was looking for an excuse to get out of the relationship and still keep her pride. And Jeff's money. Something Ava resented her for, not to mention the laundry list of things Ava was forced to do to appease her mother.
Cheerleading, dances, acting classes, choir, she had enough extracurriculars on her resume before she was twelve it would make a college applicant feel inadequate. But no matter what she did, she never felt it was good enough in the eyes of her mother, no matter what her father said. He supported what Ava wanted, while her mother pushed her into being exactly what Macey wanted her to be.
Then her father and mother split up, and he decided to go to Mysteria, find his lost love and her half sister. Ava can't stand the idea of being away from her dad, so she joined him. Now she's using this chance to start over, figure out who she is, try new things.
Flaws: Talk about putting the world on your shoulders. Ava would stick the universe on them if she could. She blames herself for her father's unhappiness, the inability to please her mother, the fact that her half sister and Claire grew up alone.
Temper is something you have to work up in her, but when you do? Oh wow. She has to have a valid reason, but she can get seriously mad, especially when it comes to people she really loves, like her friends and father. Don't push her buttons or she's more than ready to push you back.
For anyone else, she could care less about what they want or think, but when it comes to Jeff? Well Ava can't say no to her dad. He could ask her to move to Zimbabwe with nothing but the clothes on he back and she'd go with a smile.
Merits: Ava's great at multi tasking, keeping things organized. She's had to with her crazy schedule and life. She can do quite a few things at once and barely feel overwhelmed by it.
She likes meeting people and helping other people get to know one another. She's just friendly like that. Popular, unpopular, it doesn't matter to Ava.
