Appearance: Nyx looks like the true mother of the night, hair and eyes the deepest black. Her skin is moonlit white, with a pretty blush to her cheeks and lips so she doesn't seem too inhuman. She inherited human traits of course, a little cleft in her chin and a body that goes for miles. She stands at around 5'5", her figure voluptuous as sin.
She dresses in the best that the world has to offer, of course. The most expense, lavish, over the top. Red lipstick and high heels are a weakness of hers, she has enough tubes, glosses and pair of shoes that could supply a city for a month, at least. But she never does least.
Personality:
Once you get past the slight intimidation of being in the presence of a woman so sophisticated, you can't help but be charmed. After all, she just wants the best for you right? No, she wants to see you take all you can and give nothing back. She's manipulative and devious, and loves every moment of it. Her humanity is something she doesn't even really have, beyond the human luxuries she's wont to indulge herself endlessly in.
She likes games, messing with people first, watching their world crumble around them, toying them to psychosis. It makes her stronger, more powerful. She doesn't like interference, and if someone does? They become her next target.
Special abilities/talents: Knows her way around the legal system, having used it to get so much of her former husbands things. She's also quite creative when it comes to making a death look like an accident.
Supernatural Affinity: Species/Group: Demon/Daeva of Gluttony Power(s): Suggestion, cursing, the usual demonic powers Level: N/A Affiliation/Rank: Anyone who's evil enough to play Preferred Prey: Anyone and everyone
History:
In the small town of just outside of Rouen, not a soul noticed that Dominic Delacroix was driving the mild mannered seamstress Claudette Allain mad. Tempting her to greed beyond belief, greed for everything, money, sex, anything that she could get her hands on. She had no family to speak of, and no friends to care for her. She was exactly what Dominic needed. A carrier for his child and a human to toy with, nothing more.
Once Nicolette Delacroix was born, he made sure the greed had consumed Claudette, driving her to murder the town magistrate's wife, and she was executed for it.
Nicolette was never kept in the dark about any of this. Why? She wanted to know. Want-want-want. At first Dominic believed her to be a Daeva of greed as well, but no. She indulged herself in everything you could imagine, ruthless in her pursuit. She kept everything, and lavished all of those around her, quite unnecessarily, as well. The sign of a true glutton. Her father had succeeded in creating another kindred. Why? He simply wanted one. He dubbed his daughter 'Nyx', the primordial goddess of night, mother of death and sleep, endlessly dark. She goes by Nicole now among humans on paper, but never to demons. She's Nyx to them and won't let anyone forget it.
They traveled France, watched the world grow around them. They stayed in France during World War I, assisting in the evilest of ways. Quiet whispers and urges where they could. Dominic tried to entice a General to act upon his greed, desire to win the war for himself. That was his downfall.
He didn't know that an angel was also there, an angel of death. The two battled and Dominic lost. Nyx managed to escape with her life, and fled France, knowing the angel was after her.
She went to America, and there she found her home. Everyone was trying to get up in the world, wanted more. She was still a woman alone to the people, so would marry for convenience....and a lifestyle of course. After the 'accidental' deaths of several of Nyx's husbands, the money accumulated from their holdings, estates and insurances have left her a wealthy widow. Her most recent husband now dead, she pretends that it was money given to her in the death of her parents.
Now she's been given a challenge she simply cannot pass up. In the sleepy little town of Mysteria, where everyone who takes refuge in her night comes out to play, is a family that must be corrupted, otherwise? Who knows what good they may do?! She must go, if only because she wants the job herself.
And Nyx? She always gets what she wants. And then some.
Flaws: Due to how Dominic died, she's very, very reluctant to go up against and angel. She'll talk her way out of it, do anything she can to avoid a fight. She looks out for herself first, at that takes precedence over her victims despair.
Nyx's love for games gets her in a few tight spots. People can start to get onto her, what she's doing. But she simply can't resist toying with humans, leaving a trail of psychopaths after her. She's had to run a couple times when hunters started to investigate this.
Nyx wants the world, and she wants it done to her liking. If she asks for something and you get it wrong? She'll make you keep going until it's exactly how she wants it. She takes 'perfectionist' beyond the borders of insanity.
Merits: Most people think of gluttony and food, but it's far beyond that. Don't just buy a dress, buy a dozen! Buy the store out! You can never have enough, and neither can your friend...and his friend...and his! That's where she differs from greed, she doesn't need to keep everything to herself, she wants you to take as much as you can as well. She'll show you just how to do it too.
Who me? Talk about unassuming. She smiles sweetly, speaks in her lilting French accent she refuses to be rid of, bats those long, dark eyelashes, and you're lost.
