Appearance: Neil is a tall lanky individual. The only muscles he has are his heart and tongue. He's not unattractively skinny but he looks like lifting a heavy box would cause him some trouble. His clothing is nothing fancy, beat up shirts, old worn shoes. But he never looks dirty. His hair is generally just left how it is, rarely cut unless someone makes him. Dirty brown colour hair and pretty blue/grey eyes he has a very, very fair complexion.
Personality: He's a soft hearted guy. Doesn't like fights and is sensitive to loud shouting. He isn't timid though. If someone needs defending he'll fight his hardest for them. He does however indulge in smoking weed and he's unfortunately the sort of person that needs looking after. He's a little excitable too. He's a funny guy and has so much energy. Even though he has his problems he's generally happy. He likes to have a good time but is also a very lovable and sweet. Enjoys computer games too! He's a big kid really and gets on so well with children too. He doesn't KNOW there are other worldly things in the world. But he does believe. But he also believes in Aliens, maybe not that they're here but he believes in them.
Special abilities/talents: Can get down to his underwear in under a second and out of his clothes completely in under 3!
Supernatural Affinity:
Species/Group: 100% Human
History: Neil was born an only child and as such was always drifting off to a world of imagination. He had a lot of imaginary friends and built very strong rather fantastical forts. He always had various pets around him and his Great Uncle owned a pet shop that he loved to visit. Up until about the age of 7 he was a very happy well adjusted young boy.
When he started school though, there was obvious problems. He became very introvert and didn't speak much in class or to the other kids preferring to play with his imaginary friends. He was given an assessment and his severe speech impediment and dyslexia was discovered. He had therapy for his stammering and more patient tuition for his reading and writing skills. Though he never made it past the reading level of about a 6 year old.
His school work was always very poor, he was never too bright in fact he got terrible teasing about it that he acted out in a bad ways. However, he grew up, got through school mostly acting out and got a himself a job as a shelf stacker.
His life wasn't really amounting to anything but he knew it never would. So when his Great Uncle passed away and left his pet store to HIM it was safe to say there was a lot of arguments amongst the family and a hell of a lot of worry too. Neil could not cope with his own business. Plain and simple. This was true, even Neil realised this but he knew that anyone else he could have left the store too would change it too much and even sell it! No, Neil would keep it how his Great Uncle would want it and look after the animals well. But Neil did need help. However his Uncle's solicitor is a good man and was a loyal friend to him and wrote up a very good contract arranging a few business partners for him and a decent accountant to help him out. It's going quite well thankfully.
About a year ago he found himself a three legged Newfoundland puppy on the streets. He called it Bruno and loves his stupid soft doggy. He discovered Bruno had a real gentle side around those who were ill and so started to take him to the hospital to give the patients some relief to their dull days. The children's ward were always his and Bruno's favourite though. He got permission to come every week with Bruno and some new animals to chat to the kids and let them experience an animal that maybe they never would before. He also gave them a gerbil to look after. He loves his life right now. His pet store is his perfect place. His own animals, Bruno, three cats, four chickens, five rabbits and six guinea pigs also give him so much joy. He's a strong animal activist though, not dangerously psychotic though.
His life was going really well until his Aunty passed away. Now he's moved in to Maddy's house to be her 'gaurdian' though he's not there to help with sorting out bills. But he's good at house work!
Flaws:
Allergic to Penicillin which can make it a little difficult for him to be medicated.
Speech Impediment: Neil stutters, he has a problem mostly with 's' words.
Dyslexic: He's had help with his writing and reading skills but he is a poor reader and writer even now. Reading new words and large words really panic him and it frustrates him a lot when he's made to fill out forms or sign his name.
Compulsion: Neil has to do certain things five times at least. Counting something must be done five times. Locking up is another thing he worries about and compulsively does, he'll lock up, unlock, lock, unlock so he has locked the door five times. The fifth to lock it completely. Checking a list of things he can actually read.
Merits:
Unassuming- There's a look or air about you that makes people think that you could never do anything wrong
Animal Affinity: He get's them! They get him. He's confident around them.
