Occupation:Photographer when he feels like it (Tegan in the game is his girlfriend and pays most of his bills)
Appearance:Dark skinned, brown eyes, longer brown hair, sometimes wears glasses when his eyes get tired of his contacts, or they get dry. Rather short, he's never really been bothered by it, even slouching around Tegan (who is about five inches taller than him whenever she stands up straight) and making jokes on his height, telling everyone all diamonds come in small packages.
Personality:A sweet kid who is slightly jumpy around most magical beings until he gets to know him (he was taught by his family to hate all magical creatures, but he's working on it). Extremely docile and loving, he tries to keep the peace between everyone, hating when people are fighting, and it takes a lot to push his buttons into fighting for himself.
History: Jonathan Rodney Galliker was born to Sarah and Bryan Galliker on October 7th, 1986. Born to a large family of supernatural hunters, Jay, as he liked to be called, was thrown in head first at a very young age. Taught to hate all supernatural beings. Being born with a slight silver spoon in his mouth because of the money his family made from hunting vampires, he was given anything he wanted without having to ask twice. While it did make him a bit spoiled, there was a side effect to being born into a family of hunters: of the 10 children born to his grandparents, only one uncle and his father have survived hunting the supernatural. Being fascinated by it all, of course, he just wasn't sure he'd continue the line. In fact, he was so fascinated, he wanted to become one. And the only one to become one, that he wanted to try was Vampires. He wanted to be a vampire, he favorite type of supernatural.
Now, in most hunting families, this would be looked down upon, obviously. You don't want to be hunting your own children, right? Though some wouldn't have minded, if they were the good kind. Is there a good kind of vampire? Digressing, this family hated all supernatural, so obviously wasn't something to bring up at the dinner table. So, throughout his teenage years, Jay kept this fantasy of his to himself, managing to scrap through the training his father was putting him through to help him carry on the line, something he'd made up his mind by this time he had no intention of doing. So, on his eighteenth birthday, on what was supposed to be his "coming out" party so to speak, Jay announced he wanted no part in his family's brutality. With that, he was informed he was going to be disowned from the family, given his things and shown the door.
Upset, though knowing this was to be expected, Jay ran off to a local bar, known as a vampire hang out. Hoping to be turned, he didn't get what he wanted, he thought he got something much better. Meeting a local waitress, he was offered free room for his blood, and the promise of being changed.
Flaws: Nightmares - Jay tends to have nightmares about the people he cares for dying as well as himself. They hit especially hard near the anniversaries of his aunts and uncles deaths and prefers not to sleep alone.
Obsession - Jay is obsessed with vampires and becoming one. He often keeps close to Tegan because he doesn't want anything to happen to her, and its clear that sometimes he's blinded by this obsession and his addiction to see how bad he is at times.
Addiction - Jay is addicted to Tegan's blood since she often feeds a little to him to help him heal after she's fed from him, as well as keeping him around so she has a secure food source.
Soft-Hearted - Jay's so consumed in his obsession/love/addiction for Tegan and his want to become a vampire that he will do anything for her.
Merits: High-Pain Tolerance - Sure Jay may whine about getting a tattoo, but when it comes down to it he can suck it up and deal with the pain. He gained it from training and it has a helpful tool for whenever Tegan feeds from him.
Dependable - Jay will always be there for a person when they need him to be.
Mechanical Aptitude - Mainly when it comes to Jay's cameras, he can take them apart and fix them for himself.
