History: Amy was born in Holland and lived there until she was ten years old. By that age her English was already fluent so when her parents moved to England she fit in quite well. Then her parents moved again to America, uprooting her from her school and friends once again and settling down. In the past five years they’ve moved three times making it hard for her to really feel like she can settle down somewhere and make friends. She’s gotten a little angsty to say the least with her parents. She had to find things to keep her sane whilst travelling around and found witchcraft greatly intrigued her. Her Grandmother was always mixing up homemade potions and was superstitious with almost everything. So she had already had a background of it. Plus her parents were so methodical and scientific choosing to utterly embrace it really bugged them. So she became a self proclaimed witch and much to her Grandmother’s delight took up the craft. She travelled back to Holland for a month and made a catalogue up of her Grandmother’s spells making a copy in a book and also putting them on to the computer. Most were loves spells, love potions, spells for wealth, for protection, numerous and wide. Apparently a long line of women from the Osterhoudt side of the family had been witches and that was why Amy found such a natural instinct for it. She was also told of the known existence of particular creatures. Werewolves, vampires and fairies were definite creatures that existed and the rumour or gargoyles and those capable of physic episodes. Once she got back from her recent trip to Holland though she was told she was moving once again. This time they’ve ended up settling down in Mysteria and Amy hopes that’s where they’re staying. She’ll soon be old enough to get a job and move out so she’s staying there anyway. She feels a strong connection with the place and has discovered it’s a nexus point. She’s told her parents she’s not bothering with joining the school. She can’t stand going through all that again. Besides, they’re the ones that have damaged her educational life. Now her Dad’s setting up a Vets hoping here he’ll get enough work and her Mother is now working at the hospital as a surgeon. Amy meanwhile is exploring the town and getting to know what’s what and whose who. It’s been a few months now and she’s found quite a number of places of interest.
Flaws: Boy can she hold a grudge. The whole, Vengeance is best served cold, yeah it’s actually best served at freezing temperature sprinkled with snow and a side order of frozen nitrogen. Yeah, she’ll hold a grudge forever.
Her temper is also something to be contended with.
Oh and she puts her foot in to her mouth. Plus she has a bad habit of saying what everyone else is thinking, but too polite to actually say.
Merits: She is smart. Maybe not in technical mathematic terms or scientific terms but she seems to just be able to absorb information and retain it straight away.
