Our favourite werewolf is still pretty young by Wizarding standards! At least, that's how my math works. What about you? Is Remus past his prime today?

It will be a full moon on Sunday. How do you think Remus celebrates a full moon birthday? How would Severus handle Remus' birthday on a full moon?

One of our authors has been writing a birthday series for Remus and Severus for many years now. I won't name her, just in case this is the first one she misses, but I challenge you to respond to her post when it goes up. Her dedication to her story and our guys is one of the best presents Remus (and the rest of us) could receive.

Any birthday response is welcome in reply here or on the community. And please celebrate Remus for the rest of March!

Also, our beloved azure_rosa is back in town, and she's holding a Drabble Night in chat tonight at 5 pm Western/8 pm EST.

If you aren't familiar with Drabble Night, it's when we get together in chat, issue a prompt, work for 10 minutes and then share the results. Artists and observers are more than welcome, too! If you aren't up for tonight, Rosa will run the same times this Friday, the 13th!

Remus officially doesn't want me to remind you of how old he is. However, he said that he is not above accepting chocolate and steamy creative works of what Severus would do for his special day. Being the gentle greedy soul that he is, Remus said to take your time coming up with your offerings; maybe even the rest of the month.

Yes, I will run one last Snupin Santa, which will be its 10th anniversary! You have all year to create, that's it. Snupin Santa has always been multi-media, so your creations need not be limited to stories and art. If you want to solicit prompts from the community members, make a post here and ask for them. This Snupin Santa is made to be no muss, and no fuss. If you want in on this very last one, send something in, and if you don't, you don't.

There is a hard deadline of November 15 and I will not beta for anyone after September 1. What you send and when you send it is up to you; it will go up as-is. I don't plan on getting much help to run this (some, don't run, elves!), and I refuse to spend December editing, uploading and sweating last-minute submissions. As this will be Snupin Santa's last hurrah, I'd like to spend it celebrating with you all instead of feverishly working behind the scenes.

It's not easy to let something you love so much go. You're all going to help me with that by turning in amazing Lupin/Snape work that I can fuss over, right? Right! I'll flesh this out later, but for now, you have 9 months. I hope to see many old and new faces this year!

In case it wasn't obvious, your challenge this month is to celebrate Remus' birthday, which is this Saturday, March 10! Anything Remus goes, even gen, as long as you don't pair him with someone other than Severus (for long).

As our eagle-eyed members have pointed out, there's Snape/Lupin popping up in a variety of fests and exchanges. There's no better way to spread the good Snupin word (or art!) year-round than by signing up for a fest/exchange/big bang/etc. For example, HP_Porninthesun, a summer exchange, is still taking sign-ups. If you'd like to look for other avenues to release your inner Snupin upon the world, check out Potterfests, which is a terrific resource for what's going on around fandom.

Not that I don't want you all participating here, of course. But it never hurts our cause to circulate!

Finally, I've reason to go poking around the Snupin Santa archive this weekend. If you haven't responded to your gift yet, you might want to. It might not be a requirement of the exchange to respond to gifts, but there's nothing stopping me from poking you with a stick to do it, either. ^_^
