I love scenarios with #3.
I wasn't thinking too clearly when I started this hare yesterday (as in, "Oooh, something for Meta Month!" was much more on my brain than "Er, painting targets on Anonymice, much?"). I can't decide whether to be flattered or horrified that some people think it was a deliberate effort to troll for clues (as if. I'll be lucky if I get to half of the fest fics before January. Not to mention a certain 219 pages currently in the "NOT UNTIL YOU FINISH ____, YOU DAFT HADDOCK" folder... *sigh*)
