Notes: Severus Snape is such an easy target for bad things to happen to, and having Remus be his saviour is a favourite motif of mine. Add pondering on Voldemort's demise and how it might have affected Severus, and the Wizarding World, and then watching the old Hammer film, "The Gorgon", and, on top of that, rereading some tales of Greek mythology, and this (long fic) idea was born.
