Clark hangs up his cell phone as he enters the cafe. It had been a busy day for him.

Stopped a bank robbery, few muggings, and worked the local Chamber of Commerce Banquet. Those were always boring, but not every story involved excitement and adventure. But that was something he'd never tell Lois.

It was one of her unwritten rules to journalism...Every story can be big if we dig deep enough.

He flags down a waitress and gets a cup of coffee before sitting on the couch.

Wasn't this interesting?

There was an intrepid investigative journalist in the cafe. No, not that one. This one had talent, ideas, and actual drive. Unlike others who entered the cafe, Lois Lane knew what she was doing. Maybe it was bravado to cover up underlining issues. Or most likely it was because she was a semi regular to nexus travel. In fact, she had met one of her best friends through the nexus.

Still, Lois was on a mission as she walked over to the jukebox. The selection was extremely varied, considering it had music from everything a person could think of, and of course Lois picked the best, and first, thing she could find.

As the sound of "Gunter glieben glauchen globen." filtered through the air, Lois headed for a table with her messenger bag.She set up all of her usual items on the table, placed her order with the first waitress to arrive, and a few moments later the sound of her typing on her laptop joined the Rock of Ages.

IDPD Inspector Rick Parker walks through the doors of the cafe while on his cell phone, a file in hand. Though, he hasn't realized he's there.

"No. I don't care what you have to do, how many favors you have to pull, or how many judges you have to wake up. Get me that warrant. This guy has murdered three couples. I'm not looking to add number four. Get it done."

He slams his phone shut then takes in his surroundings.

"I've been here before."

He looks around and takes a seat.

Boredom

A small black portal appears in the middle of the cafe and out of it flies Susan.
Landing on a table she seems to ponder for a moment but then with a shrug of her tiny shoulders she pulls one of the napkin holders over on its side and uses it as a seat and remains on the top of the table rather than take a human form and sitting in a chair.

After all one of the major pleasures of the cafe was the atmosphere that allowed one to be one's self.

Rather than disturb the overworked cafe staff Susan opens a portal and reaching in pulls out a drink and slowly sips it while watching the patrons of the cafe going about their business.
She really hoped someone she knew came by so she could have a chat.
She was feeling restless and bored.

The Farmboy has returned to the cafe after a long absence. What has he been doing in his absence?

Stuff.

Clark orders a French Vanillia cappacino and takes a seat in a booth.
