When he had opened his eyes everything had been to bright. So bright he had cried out and curled into a ball with his hands over his eyes to try and block it out.
Then there was a click and everything when dark.
Nero carefully moved one hand away from his face and when that didn't hurt he opened one eye. Blinked all the blurry shapes away and saw darkness.
“Feeling better Nero?”
The boy blinked his one eye, it was still dark but then a darker shape came into view, he blinked a few more times and finally saw a human face, with dark eyes and brown hair cut so straight you could probably used it as a ruler.
“Who are you?”
“Credo.” The man answered . “What do you remember?”
You promised me more power
The boy blinked and concentrated as hard as he could but there was nothing else there, he didn't even know who's voice it was even.
“Nero?”
“Is that my name?” The boy asked.
Credo nodded. “You don't remember me finding you?”
Nero shook his head. For a moment Credo looked relieved.
“Well since you don't seem to like light you can stay here while I'll bring you some food.”
“Sure!” Nero said suddenly feeling how empty his stomach was. Forgetting the odd look on Credo's face. He was in a warm bed, and food was on it's way, he couldn't remember his past but as far as he could see his future was looking pretty bright.
