So, after finishing 2 out of 3 20in20s this month, I just had to sign up for another one. I really felt like doing it even if I've been lacking inspiration. A part of me feels that I tend to stay far too safe, going by the same routine for every icon. I think in this my main problem is actually picture choice, followed by going the safe route while making icons - after all I know I tend to like the result of my "standard" icon procedure. Still, being able to icon several different fandoms (even if I don't know all), did help in that regard.

Another part that helped was probably the "off-schedule" timing. The majority of 20in20s go from the 1st to the 20th and this one started on the 20th/21st. A time when my mind isn't pressuring me to just get those sets done :)

Now if only I could get those other things on my to-do list done! There are plenty of fics to post (but I'm still stuck at uploading old ones to Ao3) and a few more to type up and finish. I really need to take stock of which stories I have on my hard drive that are waiting to be posted.

And now I should get to the icons and quit rambling ;D

These were made for round 29 at season20in20! The first few I made all ended up b&w because I just couldn't get the colouring to cooperate... but I do quite enjoy b&w icons so it wasn't really a problem for me (and I still went ahead with my choice to make the AC set b&w ;D)

Next up (if I get them done tomorrow) are the Tenth Doctor for doctorwho20in20 and a set for free20in20. On top of that I have finished my icons for the next icon battle with dani_meows. This time around we decided on "The Avengers" :D

I've signed up for plenty of 20in20s this month, but somehow I don't see myself finishing them. I'm supposed to be writing my thesis now that the practical part is pretty much done, but I'm slacking of way too much on that doing all kinds of other stuff (including worrying about getting the icons done on time) - but when I actually set aside time for all that other stuff I worry too much about writing my thesis to get anything done. ARRG! The only upside is that I fandom20in20 on IJ will be extended until Saturday since nobody entered so far (and I'm the mod) and the next one due is free20in20 on Saturday. I guess that should give me time to write my self imposed quota for my thesis, send it to my advisor and ask for the extension he promised me.
And it's a good thing I only had the AC icons left for this set
