He's my favourite for that very reason... amongst other things.

In the 1st season he turns 24 and already has 3 Ph.D.s - an all around genius. Who has no clue about dating and is otherwise socially awkward. He can read books super quick and has an eidetic memory.
And even better - in one episode they start with everybody having fun in a bar in an after work meeting and he sits with a group of geeks who quote the original ST series and he says who and which episode... and he might have been watching DW :D

And I probably should quit talking or I'll never stop before I have to get up tomorrow morning ;D

They also give him interesting story lines (e.g. schizophrenic mother, drug addiction after being kidnapped and tortured, a rising actress trying to show him she's interested while he's her protective detail)

For some reason I didn't really sleep well and was dead tired for most of the morning (the afternoon was a bit better after several cups of Earl Grey and very sugary instant tea [the ingredient list says 92% sugar ;D])
