Here are the pictures for two of the necklaces I made for Chrismas presents:
Amber, coral, freshwater pearls, and vermeil necklace and earrings for my stepmother-in law, to go with the gold embroidered red caftan she was wearing on Thanksgiving day this year.
"Horse Medicine" Necklace for our friend Kim; Coral, turquoise, freshwater pearls, lava rock, rainbow obsidian. The section with the big round black beads, the lava beads, does not look as out of proportion when it's on as it does to me in the pictures. Kim said it was perfect, yay!
I have started to use crimp covers - i like the look, but there was a learning curve there for me because they need such a light touch with the crimping pliers, especially the sterling silver ones, they are so soft. they are really easy to dent and/or squish, but if you get it right, your crimp is hidden in what looks like a little round bead. :)
