[Came Back 'Verse] i'd be a silly so and so if i should ever let go
This had seemed like a brilliant plan when he'd hopped on the train that morning. He had a three day weekend with no set plans or obligations, what better way to spend it than with his best friend? So, he'd caught the next train to New Haven and now he was standing just inside the Yale-New Haven Hospital with two sandwiches he'd purchased from a local deli wrapped in a paper brown bag.
Which of course was the moment his nerves started to kick in.
Because Blaine wasn't actually aware of the fact that Kurt was even there. How cocky was that, right? Showing up on someone's doorstep prepared to spend the weekend at their house without so much as calling and warning them first. What if Blaine had plans? Or just didn't want him there. Which, all right, that one was unlikely. It had been a few weeks since they'd been able to meet up, they exchanged 'I miss you's on a regular enough basis to be mocked by their mutual acquaintances, and every time they had seen each other since Wes and Lola's wedding three months earlier had been absolutely wonderful.
Things would be fine. Blaine would be happy to see him, and things would be fine. Courage. Right. Okay. He squared his shoulders and took a deep breath before setting off down the hall, towards the part of the hospital Blaine worked in.
