Seiya rolled over and fell out of bed with a resounding thud but slowly stirred. Grumbling about hating mornings, she got up and stretched before throwing on her training clothes. Grabbing her communicator, she hit the button for an all call. "Meet at the training room in five minutes." That said, she shut the device off and headed down to the training room.

Haruka sighed softly. "The thing is...it was terrible yes but...I've seen similar torture done before," she murmured, looking down. "Nothing this bad on this scale but the Yakuza aren't exactly soft handed..." She looked at her lover. "Does it make me a bad person if I don't feel each death?"

The Time Guardian slipped from her own room, blinking as she caught sight of Rei...but really, had she not seen it before it happened? Walking over, Setsuna offered the Priestess a small smile, ruby eyes meeting the other girl's darker ones before they lingered on the door. "I think the kitchen is down a little farther. Would you like to have something to eat with me?" she asked quietly.

"Mi'lord?"

Helios was pulled from his silent prayers as a gentle hand grazed his shoulder. He slowly opened his eyes and breathed in the fresh Elysion air, reminding himself that the sailor senshi were all very capable warriors. "Yes?"

The maenad's lips curved into a hesitant smile, trying to mask her obvious worry for the priest. "There is fresh pomegranate juice in the cookery if you desire refreshment."

"Thank you," Helios responded graciously. "I think I will stay at the tower for now." He folded his hands and closed his eyes, returning to his vigil.

"I'll bring it here, then," the maenad concluded, dismissing herself from the tower.

Once more alone, Helios found himself face to face with the visions that haunted him, the doom that almost certainly awaited his Lord and also the young Serenity, his Serenity.

Mangled bodies, shards of mirrors, cries of desperate eulogy...

"Gaia save us..."

He laid himself prostrate upon the cold marble dais, praying with desperation that Elysion's power could nurture the senshi- even as far off as Kinmoku.

Kakyuu managed a weak smile of her own as the two were escorted out by Seiya and she slowly pushed herself up. Fingers moved along the trail of her skirts, making sure there was no dust or dirt before she headed to her own room, stopping outside the library momentarily. She knew she should rest, but would she even sleep? With one last glance at the books, she decided against spending another night asleep on pages and instead chose her own room.

It seemed colder and more isolated as the red head pushed open the door and shut it lightly behind her. Perhaps things would always seem this way with Taiki gone? Empty and sad? She could only hope that in time she would be able to feel something other then regret when she thought of the tallest Starlight.  The Princess pushed aside her balcony doors and headed outside into the night, basking in the glow of their own moon, eyes closing as she breathed in the fresh air.

Seiya nodded. "They'll be shown here by Yaten but I'll go back to see if anyone else wants to come sooner. And rest would be good. I handle all the training and I'm not going to be holding back." She grinned. "Don't be too shocked when I kick Haruka's ass," she winked.

"That's not necessary," Usa said as she made her way out of the room. "I just need someone to come with me. I can clean myself up..."

Seiya sighed some. So much for not fighting. Oh well. "I'll go after Minako, get her back here." Getting up, she bowed to Kakyuu and hurried after Minako, asking servants of where the blonde went so she could track down and find Minako before she got too lost.

He would never understand.

Setsuna was the one responsible, she had seen the damage and yet insisted Haruka come anyway knowing the hate the blond harbored for Seiya and the circumstances that placed such stress upon her.  It was only one path though and if she was being picky, she could easily say that it was impossible to tell which would come true. However, for all eternity of life, she felt foolish and regretful for frightening the Princess and Prince as well as Small Lady and Hotaru...

"Gomen, but it would not be fair. I told Haruka what was going on...I told her to come here and I knew the damage that would come of it", she said softly. "I should never have...but sometimes when you see the future, it blinds you from the present and everything included. I can't allow it.." The Time Guardian looked up at her Princess, ruby eyes meeting crystal before she looked away, ashamed. "Gomen nasi, I just wanted to protect you..."

Haruka blinked, stopping to stare at Usagi. Seiya did as well. The Outer kicked Seiya away and stood, refusing to wipe the blood from her face. Seiya wiped her mouth free of blood and glared at Haruka. The blonde ignored Seiya. "This is why we shouldn't go. They probably just want to use us to solve their problems and not get their own hands dirty."

"You fucking piece of trash..." Seiya started.

Haruka glared at Seiya, her eyes dark. "You want round two? Bring it. I'll kick your ass again."

Haruka looked at Usagi. "You're not going Usagi. Its too damn dangerous and its not our fight. Let them deal with it. Or did you forget it was them who brought Galaxia here who tried to kill us all? You are not going." She crossed her arms. Could this week get any worse? "We know nothing about Kinmokusei, their culture, the planet... How do you know we'll even survive there? What if this enemy is too much even for us and we all get killed? Do you really think that little of us?"

Haruka was not above guilting Usagi into staying.

Seiya looked in her princess' eyes and without thinking, held Kakyuu's hands. "I will always be careful Kakyuu." Kissing one of her hands, she straightened. "I'll tell Yaten and leave immediately so I can return faster. I won't fail you."

Hurrying to her room, she sent a message to Yaten telling her of Seiya's mission to get help and for Yaten to stay and keep an eye on Kakyuu. Hopefully it wouldn't take long to convince the Outers. Changing into a set of Earth clothes she had saved from their trip there, she steeled herself and left.

Stumbling some after who knew how many hours of traveling, Seiya looked around. Spotting the Crowne, Seiya checked there first before moving on to more of Usagi's favorite hang outs before giving up and going to the blonde's house to wait for her.

Kakyuu squeezed the smaller Starlight's hand, intertwining the fingers and pulling her close. She took a shaky breath, trying to calm the pain in her own heart...no doubt Yaten's was much worse. The silver haired woman could feel everything and being close to Taiki...well everything was made a million times harder. "We will go together..." she had to bit back the rest of the statement, she didn't think Taiki was still breathing, but the foolish girl inside clung to the notion that perhaps she was just with Seiya...they were joking off. It was a prank...even thought every pound of her heart felt differently.

Ruby eyes fell on the raven haired woman's own gaze and she nodded reluctantly. More than anything Kakyuu wanted to be out amongst her people, trying to help them anyway she could...trying to solve this brutal crime and save them from the pain they would suffer should such death keep occurring. However, she knew that Seiya and Yaten wouldn't allow such a thing...they were protective of her even if she sometimes disregared her own safety. "Okay...but I'm not going to hide Seiya. Why should I be safe when my people are not? No, I have to be out among them...I have to show them  that I'am no better than them because I'm not. I'm vulnerable as they are..."

Kakyuu closed her eyes, taking a deep breath before responding to the silver haired senshi's question with a heavy tone. " Burn them on a pyre, normal rites and respect as given to any member of our society," she said quietly, ruby eyes opening and drifting to the blank sheets once more. "Everything like normal..." It would useless to panic the rest of the citizens.

"I know...there is no one here who could...do such a thing," she said softly, red eyes rising to meet Yaten's green ones with worry. "I suggest we step up patrol in the streets, anything suspicious could be useful right now..." She hated the idea of making her people feel cornered or trapped, but in this case they had no choice.

"I have to Yaten..."

How could she ever face her people if she couldn't face the dead? Their dead? They were family to her, all of them and she couldn't turn her back on those fallen, she couldn't be high up on any scale with such pain on her planet. Taking a deep breath, she bent and lifted one of the sheets, face empty of any reaction as she caught the grusome sight in her twin ruby eyes before she moved to the next. She looked at them all, expression never waivering except to allow a small frown to form on her lips, by the time she reached the last...her eyes were shining with tears and it took everything she had to blink them away and face her two Starlights with the strength she did not feel. "Truly. Is there anything we have found yet? Any connection?"

The words snapped the young Princess from her reverie and she stood quickly, turning to face her Starlight with worried red eyes and hands clenched together in front of her. Several bodies? How...? Why? "Take me to them, Seiya...I have to see them for myself. How many others know?" She slipped her arm through the taller woman's, partially out of habit and partially out of need to stay standing...the thought of so much death left her shaken. "If the people find out there will be mass panic...we have to keep it contained until we know more...and we have to find out more..." Her worries were for the people she served...they would fear for their lives...

Seiya just nodded and left to go tell Kakyuu. It took her a while to find Kakyuu but she found her. She didn't want to disturb her princess in prayer but she needed to. "Ouhi...I'm sorry to interrupt but...Yaten and I...we found several bodies...something was done to them but we don't know what..."

Kakyuu was kneeling in the small chapel, crimson dress situated around her knees and hands clasped together upon the wooden bench. Her ruby eyes were closed, thick lashes brushing her pale cheeks, and strands of the purest wine color fell along her shoulders, strung back only in simple loops that professed perfect elegance and duty. Lips moved silently, whispering the words of a hundred prayers her mother taught her and so forth...all of which for her people, for her Starlights...for Earth...

She didn't understand why she suddenly felt the urge to pray today, at her own chapel no less, but she had risen that morning anyway, throwing on her simple dress and taking no one with her. Reckless? Definitely. However, she trusted her people and their love for her...to bring a guard with she was sure would shatter that trust and so she went alone. The chapel was empty say for herself and the red head gave herself fully over to her pleas for peace and safety...knowing with certainty that this is what she had to do...despite nothing more than a feeling rattling through her system.
