[02 Feb 2019|02:00pm] rigormortis hi everyone, this is park yerin and before i get her fully set up and fleshed out i wanted to see if i could get some lines for her! she's 28 years old and was born and raised in jeju, south korea before moving away at 18 to go to college in america. she has spent most of her adult life in the states, studying and working and making a life for herself and it wasn't until her grandmother passed away a few years ago that she realized the importance of family and decided to move back home. she studied nursing and received her masters before entering the workforce. she bounced around from department to department, working in the ER, orthopedic, and oncology units just to name a few, but it wasn't until she worked in the neonatal unit that she saw that the types of roles she had worked in before weren't as fulfilling for her as she was hoping, and before she knew it yerin was taking on an additional year of study to specialize in becoming a midwife. now that she's found her calling she loves her job and the fact that she gets to bring new life into the world on a daily basis, especially in a climate where there is so much focus on death and destruction. in contrast to her super positive work life, yerin has a love for all things macabre, and is fascinated by death, serial killers, witch craft, conspiracy theories and anything else that could other wise be described as creepy or taboo. nothing makes her squeamish, as a fully qualified nurse she has seen just about everything you could imagine and has enough stories of weird shit that has happened while on shift to keep people entertained for hours. she's a complete mother hen and will fuss over anyone who will let her, and she loves to cook (mainly because she loves to eat) in her downtime. she can often be found dancing up a storm at a nightclub on any given saturday, as well as taking dance classes and doing yoga to keep herself fit - it's the only type of exercise she can tolerate! in terms of lines, i'd love siblings, cousins or other family members, college friends or people she met during her time in the US, fellow creeps, people who attend the same dance classes she does or buddies to go drinking/dancing with, hook ups past or present of either gender, a patient she might have tended to during her time as a nurse that she bonded/clicked with (i have a lot more backstory for this line if anyone is interested in something more involved), a roommate, late night movie buddies or anything else you want to throw at me! 27 comments|post comment

[30 Jan 2019|11:25pm] clefairy hello again! some of you may remember my username but i accidentally deleted all the info for my old character so i thought i'd just write up a new one instead. i am so sorry if this barely makes sense, bear with me!! i introduce to you jisoo, a 23 year old bartender and part time youtuber from daegu. she just moved in a little over half a year ago with her twin sister as a measure to keep herself out of trouble but she was living all over itaewon in hotels for about three years before that. at first she comes off quite reserved and quiet, once someone gets to know her and she's comfortable though she will go above and beyond the meaning of over sharing but she makes a very loyal and caring friend. she's also really into all sorts of unconventional things like reading about conspiracy theories, loves paranormal stuff and tries to go ghost hunting a few times a year closer to october. right now she's studying somewhere to become a counselor/psychologist for children, really loves kids and also helping people however she can. basically she's just a big weirdo with a huge bleeding heart and some severe emotional issues she's working on. as for lines she could use a bit of everything! a childhood/ride or die best friend would be amazing, exes/past flings, someone who was kind enough to let her crash with them in the past, a friend who maybe convinces her to overcome her needle phobia in the near future, college peers, people who hate how emotional she is, a cousin or two, other true crime junkies to go down the rabbit hole with, drinking/partying buddies, casual buddies, etc. 28 comments|post comment

[29 Jan 2019|07:13pm] dharma howdily doodily, one and all! i apologize ahead of time for how disjointed this will likely be this is shin eunmi, more affectionately known as mimi. she was born and raised in gangnam and had a normal enough childhood despite the fact that a lot of people - her parents included - labeled her as a little "off" due to her interest in the alternative. to try and push her toward more normal socialization patterns, her parents got her involved in sports and she continued on playing volleyball well into her teens. mimi's love of water also led her to the pool early on, and she swam on various teams until she entered college and was afraid she wouldn't be able to cope with the pressure of being a college athlete. instead, she worked as a lifeguard while attending seoul national university for her business administration degree. she returned home and helped out in her grandparents' flower shop for a few months after graduating before she packed up and moved to itaewon to start fresh. to push herself into sharing more, she started a small-time youtube channel (do re mimi), posting small slice of life vlogs, grwm videos, snippets of song covers, etc etc. shortly after moving, she began working as an executive assistant (read as: glorified errand girl/secretary) for a local interior design firm and finally became whole again when her childhood bff tapioca returned to her and the two have been acting as the building dumb and dumber since. currently, she's still running her channel in her spare time and is even the creator of a patreon where she does custom covers and asmr videos to support her hobbies. she's also the proud owner of two pet rats, sabrina and jasmine, who often accompany her through the halls in her hoodie pocket because they're her babies. i'd love to find someone that she still has friendly swimming races with, an ex or someone that she's been extremely close with since moving but never pushed it into dating territory, a cousin, anyone she's met through work, someone that recognized her from her videos (much to her shock), and anything else you lovely people will throw at me! 24 comments|post comment

[28 Jan 2019|07:27am] sachawon okay, i knew i was probably going to end up doing this sooner than later but i've got him mostly figured out now aside from some small (or big) things. let me give you a rundown first, though: this is cho iseul but i imagine his siblings and people he's very close to call him is or iz, something like that. he's 29 going on 30 so hopefully he's not too old to make some friends. he is the old(est?) brother of nightlife and minefield and is still relatively new to seoul, he moved shortly after he finished his military enlistment (i'm thinking mid-2018 or so) in order to get away from the ex-fianceé who dear john'd him while he was in the army. it turned out to be a good thing because she cheated on him a lot and was just generally not great to him and tended to take advantage of him. he was pretty torn up over the break up but he's nothing if not a fairly cheerful guy so he's doing pretty good now. he's a really big people person, the epitome of a professional when he's at work and he does take working pretty seriously and very much wants to be successful and make a lot of money to be comfortable and live nicely. he's got a way with people and knows how to get people what they need and make sure they're happy, he's got a great intuition for it (maybe not always outside of work though) and that's part of what he loves the most about his job. outside of work he's surprisingly just a little bit wild and likes to drink and go dancing and the like, he's got quite a few tattoos that he got during his travels when he was younger but generally keeps them pretty well covered up most of the time so people are usually surprised when they see how many he has. one of the biggest things i'd love is a job for him, i imagine him being a supervisor or manager or something like that so i'm not really sure if anyone has any jobs that would fit this. if not, i'll throw him somewhere BUT other than that i'd really love some friends for him, people he knows through his siblings, people who will be his friend despite their age difference. he's a supportive and generous dude so if anyone needed help with anything he'd be down to help out, he's pretty handy and he's athletic and i think i've run out of ways to entice you guys into lines so hit me up please! 41 comments|post comment

[25 Jan 2019|03:12pm] tapioca hi there! i feel like i've been working on this character for ages, but she's finally finished! this is jung ye-eun (mostly goes by yenny, i know v original). originally born in gangnam, but entered boarding school in the uk from middle school through high school. after graduating, yenny flew back to gangnam to stay at home so that she could easily help take care of her ailing grandmother (her biggest art inspiration). after her grandma passed away, yenny grieved for a few months before enrolling in oxford's ruskin school of art. starting out, her main art style was watercolor in order to follow in her footsteps, but since graduating with her MFA, yenny likes to try out different styles where she can and eventually treaded into the world of digital art, which is mostly what she does now. along with a degree, she also gained a fiancé of whom she ended up moving in with somewhere in the soho district of london. he was supportive enough, to the point where his encouragement lead to the start of her very own children's book. however, yenny's indecisive and her cold feet caused her to flee back to gangnam three days before the wedding was to take place. now, she's sharing an apartment itaewon with her childhood best friend and her two dogs tiki and banksy! her artwork is exclusively digital now, and she's still perfecting her own book while freelancing for other people. she's also technically a sugar baby, as she gets regular deposits from a wealthy business man in exchange for her company whenever he's in town. i have a bit more about her here, and i'll be available for any questions since i know it's not much and this was exquisitely rushed. she could use any lines, honestly. i'd love family, friends, her ex-fiancé for a little drama, fellow art dweebs, fellow old people, someone to watch scary movies with, one person who knows she's a sugar baby 🌝 anything and everything. 31 comments|post comment

Born and raised in Ulsan, and moved to Ɪᴛᴀᴇᴡᴏɴ a little later on to continue his studies at SNU. he is currently doing clinical work for his PhD at YOU&ME (YPCS) and at Korea Children and Youth Psychological Counseling Center. he loves what he does, he has always had a soft spot in his heart for children. he's pretty eccentric, yet with a moonchild/wallflower type personality. he's extremely caring and would do anything for someone whoever needed his help (basically wears his heart on his sleeves). he's loyal to whoever becomes is his friend. i don't have a solid line here except with biaswrecker, they have become pretty close friends. i know i have talked to some people who wanted them to be friends with min, if you guys are willing to continue that, perhaps to those who have wanted that can post and remind me? [12 Jan 2019|11:32pm] hexagram i haven't done one of these in a super, super long time but levi has sort of drifted into an abyss lately so i figured it was time. for anyone who doesn't know, this is levi song and he was born in south korea but adopted by an extremely rich and upper class korean-american parents who probably shouldn't have had kids to begin with. he's always kind of been a black sheep, his family was super snotty and didn't much care for him, he spent most of his time in the care of a nanny or several over time, which is probably a big reason he's so liberal and open-minded about things, and why he ended up disliking his adoptive parents so much (aside from the fact they just treated him poorly) but he's extremely passionate about equality and mental health and the like, although many people probably don't see that all that often because he doesn't exactly open up all that well. anyway, he grew up in new york and ended up attending nyu where he got his mfa and then began a tattoo apprenticeship at a local shop there. shortly after his apprenticeship was over some shit went down and hardstyle (his best friend of many years) decided that it was time for levi to get out of new york and to move to seoul, which he did in early 2017. he started working at a tattoo shop in seoul pretty much immediately and now as of october 2018 he's the owner and currently the sole tattoo artist at his own shop. he met his twin sister scissors last year, is currently dating agape, and bugs natalchart regularly about red dead redemption 2. he's not the friendliest ever because he doesn't trust people and generally is prone to depressive episodes where he can isolate himself pretty badly but i'd love to get some more friends for him, people who will actually deal with his inability to function on a normal emotional level at times and get past his weird broody persona and appreciate him. i know that he's a little intimidating (he's super tall and covered in tattoos in south korea, so naturally people probably move out of his way when he's walking by) but he's loyal and generous, just quietly so! he loves movies, music, video games, lots of stuff to bond over 15 comments|post comment

[12 Jan 2019|02:27pm] biaswrecker it's been a hell of a long time since i did one of these, so why not! this here is sungwoo, though he more often and preferably goes by woozi. he is a 23 year old dancer at 1M as well as a student over at karts. he is a former med student that had gone as far as excelling a little too well in the medical friend and was doing a part-time internship at a children's hospital...at least up until he dropped out. he's lived in seoul for the last four or well five now years! wow! and he's been in the building for just as long so any of the newer faces that have had resident's that have been around, i would love to build some lines up! personality wise he's very upbeat, optimistic, and a bit on the happy hyper side a lot of the times. he's also gullible and greatly naive to a lot, he's working on that as best he can. extremely passionate, and very loyal to those that actually are kept close to him, but just like anyone else he has his own flaws and does his best to hide those! line wise i'd really love to get him active again! there was a small period where holidays took over forever and a day and i think a lot of my existing lines need some refreshing, but i'd also love to usher in the chance for new ones! i'd love maybe former roommates, maybe a fling or two from the past - there's something that could be hilarious with this if anyone is down, fellow dancers or artistic types to gush over things with would be excellent, kdrama lovers to sit and get lost with for hours, and really i'd love to just try and come up with some creative fun lines. 10 comments|post comment

[11 Jan 2019|01:16am] stereotype okay, i'm about to crash for the night but i really wanted to get this up before that so here i am! so, this is kit. he's 23 years old, has his degree in business administration, is great with people and even better with numbers. he has migrated to south korea from the west coast, los angeles to be exact, so his korean could use some work. his mother attempted to teach him the language while he was young but it wasn't something that stuck too terribly well. kit would probably still be in the states if not for getting involved with the wrong guy and having it lead to some threatening emails and some "minor" stalking. hopping a flight and relocating with his best gal pal seemed like a great idea at the time (which was what, a month ago?) but now, he finds himself struggling with the culture change and trying to get his life back in order. despite all that, he's social and friendly, probably a little too friendly for his own good, and he enjoys going out and having a good time (with or without alcohol but he prefers the former). you can check out his bio here if you'd like. for lines for him, he's really open to everything. he's only been in the country for a little over a month and he is ready to mingle. he has a roommate in enchantor so if you're friendly with her, chances are kit has been thrown in the mix. it'd be great to perhaps have someone, or many different someones, to go get drinks with. someone to lounge all over the couch and watch movies with him on those nights he just doesn't feel like doing anything else but putting on his fuzzy socks and curling up with a tub of popcorn. some fluent english speaking friends so he doesn't feel awful about his terrible korean pronunciation all the time and can just speak in english around them. friends with pups so they can have puppy play dates. flings or casual whatevers. maybe an ex from back home. someone to go for nature walks with him. he does have family in south korea that he has never really met or spoken to because of the disconnect between their families so a cousin line is a possibility! he will definitely want someone to go with him when he gets his hair colored since he does it quite often just to keep things fresh, and that includes the discussion about which color to get that precedes that trip to the salon. i can tell how much i ramble when i'm tired so i will end this here, but let's brainstorm! 59 comments|post comment

[09 Jan 2019|07:43pm] minefield hello, everybody! this is going to be a mess but this is cho jiwon, 28 years old and nightlife' and chibichibi's older brother. born and raised in jeju, he was set to continue his dad's fishing industry involvement but decided cooking was his calling. he attended sol international culinary arts school and worked at a few hotels and restaurants after he graduated in order to get enough experience to achieve his dream of working on a cruise, which he finally did for 2 years on-board the viking ocean cruises. though he mostly worked in the kitchen, he also got the opportunity to work as a bartender during his last months on the ship. instead of renewing his contract in early 2017, he decided to go back to seoul and open up his own place where he could combine his passion for food and newfound love for bartending. he worked alongside nightlife and they opened up the ox bar in november 2017! as far as his personality goes, being the eldest brother has definitely shaped him up to be the nurturing type. he's incredibly easy-going and trusting, which has been an issue in the past due to people taking advantage. a true dreamer who's always fantasizing about what place he should visit next, so if anybody needs a weekend travel buddy, he can be your guy! he works long hours at the bar so he needs some friends to remind him to take it easy. perhaps a roommate he'll spoil with food, people to discuss and watch horror movies with, employees, connections through his sisters, an ex-girlfriend, fellow night owls, anything and everything! 27 comments|post comment

[09 Jan 2019|08:21pm] enchantor throws glitter everywhere, hi guys! i'm working hard on finishing her up but thought i'd see for some lines while i do! this is mina park and she's brand spanking new to south korea as a whole. she was born in sk but was adopted and taken to the states, specifically california but she did mingle around a little in different states if that helps with some lines. once she graduated school, she decided to move to south korea to learn her roots, find her birth parents and a few other journey things. trying to find a place where she actually belongs in a real way. she's very new to the apt, like very new so if anyone needs a roommate that would be great. she's a crafter and has a lot of goals set there with it. just overall, a huge lover of making things and being all artsy. she's very energetic and enjoys trying almost anything at least once. a very imaginative and creative person who sees the world very differently most of the time. she's a gemini and fits the sign pretty well to give some context there. for lines! i'm so bad at these posts but let's see here. she needs everything. i have a few ideas for family if anyone is interested in that because i have some backstory for her parents. but cousins would be very easy to work out and i always love family lines. a roommate and someone who can help her with figuring out south korea. she doesn't really know much korean at all so anyone who wants to help a girl out to not look like a lost kitten. fellow craft lovers and an artist for a specific line. artsy types overall to form a sparkle squad. dancing lovers since she loves to bust a move and those who appreciate cute things. [07 Jan 2019|12:47pm] ex_nightlife379 As she had been here for just over a year at this point and went through a face swap recently from Heize to Kyungri of 9muses, I wanted to do one of these to refresh what she has going on and hopefully get her into her social butterfly skin from the cocoon she had been in fairly recently (and the holidays certainly didn’t help that one on my part). This is Cho Jae-eun, the 27 year old co-owner of LΞVΞL alongside baegopah, a nightclub/performance space in the Itaewon area based off of Octagon in real life Gangnam, and soon-to-be owner of a small restaurant which is set to be in proximity of the club sometime later in the year. She’s originally from Jeju-do, the (currently) oldest daughter of a fishing family, and tends to walk the line between being momma bear and stone-hard entrepreneur, which does make her come off intimidating at times, but she’s not that bad when you get through her onion layers. She’s been living in Skyview since December of 2017, moving in with rhymeregiment following a break up with her then-boyfriend (which isn’t a fact anyone necessarily knows about, but he’s the same jerk I’ve been writing narratives about), and has since basically wedged herself into as much party planning as she can—be it in coordination with Skyview Terrace staff or on her own accord for holidays and the like. As for the docket of lines beyond those mentioned above, chibichibi is her baby sister and she may have a brother in minefield on the way, so treat them nicely or else! selca is her ex-boyfriend from the early days of the nightclub and closest friend, noodles surfs on her couch, hardstyle and korosensei both work at the nightclub, and she has lovely lady heart eyes for scissors. I’d love to get more connections if at all possible!
