so your offers tempted me, and while i brainstorm, i'm wondering... could i get lines for a barbra streisand? i do know she'll be affiliated with upsilon. my first instinct, because of her age, would be co-commander, but i don't want to step on toes or anything, so is there some other position y'all would rather her be in? or should i go with that one?

re: her personality... well, let's just say that evil, thy name is streisand. if you think she looks grouchy in the icon, wait until you meet her before she has her morning coffee. whatever position she's in, she's been around so long that she really thinks she knows best about everything, and trying to get her to do something she doesn't want to do is like trying to herd cats. i'm not sure how long upsilon's been around, but she's definitely been there for a loooooong time, although she was largely inactive in any theater during the 70s for 'personal reasons' (meaning, she had an oops baby that she didn't tell anyone about). having a kid (and now grandchildren) has mellowed her out a lot, so where she used to be very snappish and unlikely to put up with even the slightest irritation, she's more likely to listen to other people, dispense advice, etc.

don't let the grandma thing fool you into thinking she's not upsilon through and through, though. to her family, she was like the crazy daughter they had to keep locked in the attic lest the neighbors glimpse her freakishness. she grew up largely isolated and she still hasn't developed social skills as we know them, so she's very blunt in her criticism and doesn't pick up social cues that well, but when she's generous or kind or praising someone, it's so effusive and enthusiastic that it seems sudden and unexpected. so she can be nice... she just thinks supers should rule the world and doesn't really care how that comes about.
