While I finish wrapping up the novel that marfin's application is turning out to be, I thought I'd reveal my evil plans for what I expect to be my final character. Emerald Reginald will be filling our need for somebody in a supersuit. She's the granddaughter of the lately deceased Archibald Reginald, old school super-scientist and professional pain in the national super community's ass. Believing firmly that the best way to deal with troublesome supers (and everybody else) wasn't repressive technology and politics, but a good ol' freeze ray or plasma canon he left behind a legacy of being that asshole who wheeled out a doomsday device while everyone was trying to melt each other's faces like proper powered people. He was a cunning bastard with a mean cackle, and meant to leave a legacy of hyper-intelligent offspring to carry on his questionably good works. Unfortunately, his son turned out to be useless, going to school for "Philosophy" instead of Science(!), "accidentally" banged a gold-digging super villain and then nine and a half months later choked on a celebratory waffle cone. Even more unfortunately, the stupidity was hereditary. With her grandfather dead and no other heir apparent interested in carrying on his mission to bring peace to the peoples through Things That Go Explode, Emerald has taken up the call. She presumes that being raised in a scientific compound around bunches and bunches of smart people qualifies her to slap on an experimental exoskeleton and become a superhero. You'd think someone would stop her, but everyone involved with the suit's creation, having a much greater grasp on reality and the legal ramifications, has decided to pretend they've never seen it before. What does this mean? There's a twenty-something who traded her brains for the secrets to big, shiny hair in a hijacked high tech tin suit of death who's come to fight your crime. She works at Vince's tattoo shop during the days and is a thief for hire by night. She's well known among the occult world, and is referred to from other mediums because of her ability to allow spirits to possess her and communicate with their loved ones, she is also called in to help when places are haunted because of her uncanny talent for convincing spirits to move on. Her bio is HERE, and even though most people don't know she's possessing her sister I'll take lines for either twin! I'm also working on unlawful, who will be filling the Kingpin line and basically be a mobsterish douche. So LINES FOR HIM TOO! And I swear that's all I'm bringing in. Ever. This is Cortney, and while I'm not sure I'm going to be applying her extremely soon (I want to get my other three active first. >>), I figured I'd come in here and introduce her anyways. This is Helene Malevich, Willem's younger sister. She's thirty years old, and I've yet to decide how long she has been in D.C. I'm thinking it has been five years, at the very least. She's a powered civilian who favors Omicron, although that is mostly due to her brother's affiliation with them. She's growing fairly restless with the current state political unrest. She has something similar to energy blasts, but instead of pew pew energy balls, they manifest in the form of waves of cutting energy via her fingertips. She's a personal trainer/little league coach, although her dream is to open something akin to a super-training-facility. She is aware that there are tons of powered people out there who are hesitant to come out with their abilities and knows that most gyms don't meet their needs. Line-wise, I'm pretty much open to anything! She has a pretty good relationship with Willem, and so chances are if your character is chummy with him, they'd definitely know of her! GIVE ME LINES, PEOPLES. In addition, if anybody would like to thread/plot with Susan, Jameson, or Evelyn, let me know and I'll happily throw something up for us. 31 READ|REPLY

[05 Feb 2011|02:18am] _amorfati In lieu of sleep, I am working on my fourth character. On top of bringing back masong, meet senator Eli Richardson (D-California). He is one of the surviving members of the SRDC. While he is well known for his passionate stance on equal rights for all, especially supers, it is not known that he is super-powered himself (it's an open secret among the politicos). His continued survival from recent attacks has drawn suspicion from the public. He's been happily married to Naomi since 1994, has two beautiful daughters, and has a strained and complicated relationship with his male roommate, Tony (his wife's primary form). His power is kinetic absorption-he can take the kinetic energy from the force of a blow or a fall and convert it. Primarily it is converted into a temporary increase of strength and endurance. He's not unbreakable due to his power, but he's durable. It also why he's much older than he looks (and sometimes acts, he has his hyper moments). His bio and timeline is getting ironed out, but he was a former soldier who got into politics after serving his military obligation in 2003. His oldest daughter was mostly raised by Tony and their parents since Eli was constantly serving overseas: Haiti, Kosovo, Afghanistan, and Somalia. He was recruited to join Omicron while in the service, but turned the position down. After serving as one of LA County's Board of Supervisors, Eli was elected to the Senate in 2006 after a special election was called. While he's suspected of being pro-super, he was a wildcard in the SRDC. Eli often played devil's advocate to positions brought to the fold by Omicron, Upsilon and the League, while being a fierce critic of all three parties. He was also known to ask contrary questions to witnesses at committee hearings, making it impossible to tell which way he planned to vote. Since the SRDC was disbanded, Eli is currently working with other lawmakers to form a new committee in response to the suppressant technology being unleashed in Washington. Specific lines that I can think of off of the top of his head, people to lure him to the light/darkside, former subordinates/soldiers, his teenage daughter is open for the taking, and just people to shoot the s*t with (at heart he's still a small town kid from the midwest). 10 READ|REPLY

[04 Feb 2011|02:18pm] frags so, i'm still working on her bio (slowly, but surely), but since i want to have her in by sunday, i'm going to throw one of these bad boys up with some info bullets to try and drum up some connections for her. this is alexa johan aka frag, upsilon security/activity with the ability to create explosive balls of psionic energy (yes, i snagged it from x-men's boomer when i was making the male version of frag; lol) which, of course, she loves and uses whenever she wants to destroy something fiercely. personality-wise, she has that indifferent, 'i don't give a shit' attitude that either makes her one of the guys or an annoying bitch, but hey, if you think so, she probably couldn't care. line-wise, she is a clean slate. i'd have specifics (which i will put up eventually), but as i'm writing her bio, they're changing. given she has been around a couple months pre-application/via biography, i'd love to set up lines with other upsilons as well as omicrons/vigilantes/civilians she may have fun into at some point for one reason or another. if you'd like to plot, this post is fantastic or you can hit me up at thisheadline. oh! and i'm going to be bringing travis back as well, so if you would like lines with him, feel free to let me know. i'm keeping the lines he had before, but of course, would love more with newbie characters/characters he hasn't interacted with before. and... that is all from me! ciao bellas! 15 READ|REPLY

I'd love to do a backdated thread of her being dropped and someone finding her limping self (or barely walking), cause I assume she might need some form of medical attention because she would be quietly freaking out to herself. [26 Dec 2010|08:26pm] enfield So, I have this boy to fill in my single space vacancy who I've flopped on a couple times (between making him an Omicron or an Upsilon, what type of doctor, if even to make him a doctor or an armory worker, blah blah blah, etc., etc.). This here is Matthew Enfield, a physician who opened a clinic specializing in super powered health/medicine after discovering his own ability of superhuman speed. As of now, he is civilian with potential for recruitment given the right incentive (which hasn't proven to be money) and doesn't necessarily stray from neutrality when it comes to work -- if you're sick, come on in; if you're sick and super powered, especially so. Anyway, bio is up and I'd love to get him some lines -- patients (both super powered and non-powered) at the clinic, upsilons he may have mended from time to time off-the-books, recruiters from either organization, friends and loved ones, etc., etc. If anyone has any lines that need filling that he can fill, feel free to let me know! [22 Nov 2010|10:15pm] bufuji It's Sia here with my third character. This is Bunko Fujioka, resident Musical Empath who gets her abilities from whatever music she is listening to. Meaning, if she listens to some Metal she'll more than likely go into Feral Mode! If she listens to Classical music she will attain perfect balance (or something else, haven't quite decided). I'm still looking through songs to see what will be what, but I do have examples of some hypothetical shiz. I'm in the process of compiling playlists on youtube for some audio-aides, but help on choosing what songs do what would be awesome. Ty, ty. Since she's a civilian I figure she would have run into some of the folks in grocery stores or the library or ~insert random place here~. I also wouldn't mind her having internet friends that she talks to on AIM or something. She also goes to Washington University. So anyone who is a fan of watching a bunch of people dance could know her from there. He owns a used book store which barely makes any profit, and as a result he works various part time jobs (which are extremely various considering his flighty personality can't keep him a job, or girlfriend, for more than three months). He's a pretty spacey guy which basically makes him unaware of when there's a super anywhere near him and his subconscious is using his power for him. [12 Nov 2010|07:18pm] dabigail K SO. tags are coming, i swear, but before i delve into those i figured i'd make a quick post here. :) in order to make up for clara's failure as a league member, i'm thinking about bringing in this girl: abigail matthews, cold-blooded assassin. she'd be a league field agent, working undercover as a bartender (by the name of trudy kellar) at a local pub that may or may not have a few omicron/upsilon regulars. people talk about personal issues when they get enough alcohol in them and those little details are just as dangerous as those about business. as a plus, she's one hell of a force to be reckoned with in a fight. it's pretty bare bones at the moment, but that's the basic gist of her. lines (and alternate ideas, if you so desire) would be awesome. also, i put up new storyline pages for mina, chuck and clara, so check those out and make sure i didn't miss anything important. :) also, if you want a more detailed line with one of those characters, feel free to ask. 5 READ|REPLY

[17 Oct 2010|04:05pm] mloma Hello hello! Ignore the fact that this is my first time doing supernatural and bear with me here. :D. This is Mattias, his bio thus far is here but he still has a gillion more years to go. Basically, he's a super with accelerated healing and decelerated aging. He's stumbled into Upsilon sometime shortly after its conception, and though he's not exactly evil by nature, watching people around him die off for the past few millennium has left him a little bitter and off-kilter. He's not entirely immortal, and aside from the fact that it's hard as heck to kill him he really has nothing out of the ordinary that can help kick ass. He does, however, have loads of money which he funnels into the organization (amazing what you can store up when you're around for a while) and works as a techie since, hey, even old people can get a handle on technology when they have forever to read up on it! He needs lines, I need ideas and feedback. Please give both! :D 23 READ|REPLY
