From Monday to Friday, Monica's world outlook changed from a brief but meager hope for the reformation of Limerick City to the golden age metropolis it once was to the soul crushing reality that the world was coming to an end at the hands of complete assholes. Working within the justice system would do that to a woman, you know; and working in Limerick City could do that to just about anyone. This place was, Monica had decided long ago, enough to make even a Nihilist weep. And so when that clock struck five on Friday night, she was one of the first to jet out the door; handing in her files to the dispatcher and hoping to get home to a hot bath and enough time to unwind before having to head out to the races.
Red pumps navigating the city streets as quickly as they could so that she could get out of the Precinct and into her car quickly. She found herself moving along quite well until that gnawing hunger pain ripped through her stomach so loudly that it even surprised Monica. Blue gaze gone wide as a hand rested for a moment upon the gurgling mess realizing with great despair that she had forgotten to take lunch, and with it had failed to pick up her groceries for the night. Dinner out had not been in the cards. A fast surveillance of the surrounding area showed very little in the way of promising cuisine, and the small modern art sushi place seemed the safest choice for that moment in time. Ducking down under the black bamboo awning and heading under ground into the basement restaurant, sidling up to the bar for the quickest service.
