It had been quite a while - an eternity to her standards - since Angeline had had a pet to play with and torture. Ever since the goat boy had died she'd been too busy to pressure her sister and Lex into finding her someone else, especially with Alistair in the mix. But Alistair wasn't as much fun, seeing as he could heal, and Angeline wanted to get to know races she had little practical knowledge of, she'd decided. It might be more fun, and it might also help her progress where magic was concerned. She had told her sister to send Lex her way, and she was sure Domina had gotten right on it. Now all Angeline had to do was wait.

In the meantime she was sitting at her desk reading up on some black magic, pretending that her boyfriend's lack of attention wasn't bothering her immensely, and making plans for Homecoming in her head. She'd be damned if she wasn't going to look her very best that night. Whether she won or not - the latter being absolutely insane of course - she would look great so that everyone though she'd deserved it either way. Of course those who didn't already were either insane or mentally deficient, but it didn't hurt to remind people every once in a while.

After closing up the store for the night, Erika figured she had a couple of options for the night. She could put on warm socks and watch SVU reruns with Clothilde and Petunia while Trip yelled obscenities in the background. While that seemed like a great fun time, it was what Erika had been doing for the last few weekends. The e-mails from the people who'd received the mystery gifts had finally stopped and no one had any new information. Evan's present had revealed absolutely nothing for her. She was at a dead end and the last thing she needed to do right now was sit at home and wait for a new message to arrive on her computer. It wasn't productive and she was wasting her time. Maybe she needed to break that routine and do something else with her time. It was time for her to accept that she'd hit a dead end. And without any new presents or information, there were no new leads to follow. She decided to take it as a victory that she'd scared off the creeper.

It was a strange thing, but Venus had woken up that morning to realize she was nervous about trying on her mother's dress. It was easy enough to figure out why - she was already pretty attached to the idea of wearing it, and there was no guarantee they'd be able to make it work. Venus had told herself a million times that it'd work out one way or another, but she still had a lot of nervous energy as she parked in the driveway of her family home. She let Raphaela out of the passenger seat, and the familiar immediately took flight towards the roof. Apparently, she needed a break. "Some help you are," she mumbled, before heading up the walk and letting herself in.

"Anybody home?" she called, realizing she hadn't even checked the garage to see if her mom was in. They'd said Saturday afternoon, but not set an actual time. Without really waiting for an answer, Venus headed to the stairs in case her mother was already in the attic.
