Who: Lori Carter and Tyler Jackson
What: She's going on a date... with someone else.
Where: Lori's dorm, NYU Campus
When: November 23, 2009 - 7:30PM
Rating: R-ish?
Status: Completed Log

Lori had shifted through her side of the closet for nearly twenty minutes before deciding on her favorite little black dress of the moment.

In her opinion, it fit perfectly for a first date. It wasn't too long but it wasn't so short it would be classified as trashy. While it left a bit of her cleavage on display, it covered enough that it could still be considered modest. It was loose fitting every where else and hung perfectly over her frame, accenting the slight swell of her hips. If there was any other explanation needed... she just felt beautiful when she was wearing it and that was important when you were making a first impression.

For the first time in months, Lori had a date . A real date. Sure, Tyler took her out pretty regularly but she wouldn't say that they were going out on dates. They were just friends, after all, even if the friend/boyfriend line occasionally blurred.

After dressing, she ran her fingers through her hair, leaving the blonde and red highlighted locks loose around her shoulders. She had a half hour before, John, a boy she'd met in her photography class, was supposed to pick her up and she leaned into the mirror on the back of her closet door, adding the finishing touches to her make up.

Tonight was going to be a good night, she was sure of it, and she hummed quietly to herself as she worked.

Tyler was in a good mood as he jogged up the hall toward Lori's dorm room. He'd finished with his classes for the day and he didn't have practice or anything else important to deal with today, so he was making an impromptu visit to one of his best friends.

He and Lori had been spending more and more time together since shortly before they'd finished High School. Honestly, he'd developed pretty strong feelings for her, but he knew they'd both been through a lot in the love department and he wasn't sure how to approach this. She was his ex's best friend, which only complicated things further.

Tyler was trying to just play things cool. They hung out, they made love - eventually, he'd let her know he'd fallen head over heels for her, but Lori wasn't exactly dating around or anything, as far as he knew, and he figured he had time. He could just let things develop and see where things went.

And right now, where things were going for him was that he was stopping by to demand she let him take her to dinner. He grinned to himself, smoothing out a wrinkle in his shirt before raising a hand to knock on her door, breaking out into a grin when she answered, only to give her a confused look a moment later.

"Why are you so dressed up?" he asked. "Are you psychic?" She couldn't have known he intended on taking her out someplace nice to celebrate this evening of free time, right? He didn't remember the dress before, so maybe it was just something new she was trying on...

Lori was sweeping lipstick over her bottom lip when the knock echoed through the room. Expecting to find her date on the other side of the door, she quickly finished the last minute touches to her makeup and gathered her hand bag. While she was surprised to find Tyler standing there, she certainly wasn't disappointed and a rather large, bright smile covered her face.

"Hey," she greeted brightly, forgetting for a moment that she even had a date. She pulled him into a hug before flashing him another bright grin. A brief look of confusion moved over her face when he questioned her but she quickly recovered.

"Oh... Um... I have a date," she answered, feeling appropriately awkward. "John, a boy in one of my photography classes, asked if he could take me to dinner." She and Tyler were friends. They often acted as if they were more but, when it came down to it they were just friends with benefits. She had to remind herself of that fact now.

"What about you?" she asked after a quick moment. "Why are you dressed so nice?" The thought of him having a date bothered her more than she cared to admit but she brushed it off and prepared the fake smile she was going to give him when he offered that as an explanation.

"You have a date?" Tyler was too surprised to really hide his shock or annoyance at this development. How could she have a date. They'd been.. they were.. well, okay, they were just friends, but he didn't think she was interested in dating. He could kick himself for waiting until she seemed ready.

"Well, I was going to take you to a nice dinner, but we can do that another time," he explained, flashing her a grin and trying to act like it was perfectly fine, even though a part of him wanted to demand that she cancel her date with the photography dork and come out with him instead.

He didn't though. He knew he had no right to demand that. Maybe he'd just go find some girl in one of his classes to take out. One of the cheerleaders had been chasing him for weeks. If Lori was going to be having a date, maybe he should take the girl up on it.

"Yeah... well... sort of." Lori didn't miss the shock or annoyance in his tone and it made her feel as if she should offer up some sort of explanation for her behavior. Which was strange, to say the least. She'd always felt as if she could talk to Tyler about anything. Clearly, that didn't apply in this particular situation.

"John went to Venice this summer," she offered conversationally. "I said that I would like to see the pictures he took and he said that he would bring them if I let him take me to dinner."

Lori briefly wondered why he was upset by this development but, before she could question him about it, that expression faded into one of his usual grins. Maybe she'd just imagined it. Maybe she'd been hoping that he would be upset by the thought of her going out with some other guy.

A disappointed expression moved over her face when he said that he'd been planning to take her to dinner. As much as she was looking forward to getting to know John, an evening with Tyler sounded much more appealing. "Maybe tomorrow night?" she countered hopefully, forcing herself to smile.

John wasn't remotely dorky... not like the other guys in her class. He was quite attractive, actually. However, he wasn't Tyler. She wouldn't have agreed to this dinner proposal if she'd realized that Tyler wanted her attention.

Was Tyler actually supposed to give a shit where this boy spent his summer? He was taking his Lori on a date. Tyler was far too annoyed to care about anything else, even if he was working hard not to show it.

"Sure. Tomorrow," he agreed with a shrug. Did he really have a choice in the matter? He couldn't insist she cancel and have dinner with him now, no matter how much he wanted to do just that.

He'd just.. go find something else to do tonight. "Katie's been bugging me for weeks to see some movie she keeps going on about. I'm sure she won't object to me having a free evening." He didn't know why he'd thrown that in there. It wasn't like he expected Lori to actually be jealous, but a part of him probably hoped she would be.

No, Tyler wasn't supposed to care about where the boy had spent his summer. He was, however, supposed to accept that as an explanation for why she'd agreed to go on a date with another guy. Not that Lori needed to explain her actions. She and Tyler were just friends. She just had to keep reminding herself of that fact because, right now, she felt sort of like a cheating girlfriend.

"Tomorrow," she agreed, forcing her tone to brighten. If Tyler had shown up earlier... even by a half hour... she would have called and canceled her plans with John. Unfortunately, the boy was due to arrive any minute and she couldn't cancel knowing that he'd already left the house.

In spite of her light tone, she was still worrying her bottom lip between her teeth. Things had been fine and, now, she felt sick to her stomach. Not that his next comment helped in that department. At the mention of Katie, she bit her bottom lip a little more roughly than she intended to. A pool of copper rushed into her mouth and she just barely managed to keep herself from cursing.

"I don't know how you can even stand to be in the same room as that girl," she commented before she could stop herself. "She's so freaking air-headed. I'd be afraid that her stupid is contagious. It's a shame her intelligence isn't proportionately sized with her breasts."

Lori clamped her teeth around her lip, again, in an effort to silence herself. She hated that girl! All she cared about was getting into Tyler's pants. She'd hated her since the first day she'd met her. He knew that! If she didn't know any better, she would have thought he was baiting her. She'd just force herself to shut up. What did she care if he wanted to spend his evening with that... stupid girl.

Tyler raised an eyebrow when she started in on his backup date for the evening. Whether he'd been consciously trying to make her jealous or not, it seemed to definitely be working and he was torn between feeling amused and pleased at the development.

"She's a very nice girl, actually," he found himself defending the girl, trying not to smirk at the comment about Katie's boobs. Which were very nice, he'd noticed, but not nearly as nice as Lori's, in his opinion. "She knows a lot about basketball and.. besides.. you have plans. I'm not supposed to just sit at home all night, am I?"

Not that he wouldn't. Tyler didn't know if he'd actually follow through on his threats to take the cheerleader out. It was definitely amusing acting like he intended to, though.

Lori realized that she'd said far too much when his brow raised but, for some reason, she couldn't seem to close her mouth. She hated that girl! She hated everything about her! She wasn't even that attractive. Sure, her breasts were nicely sized but what did that matter when you had to put a paper bag over her head? She was so eager, too. The girl was more like a basketball groupie than a cheerleader. Lori simply couldn't understand why Tyler would want someone who had probably screwed half the team.

When it was all said and done, it was impossible to take back everything she'd said, though she really wished that she could, so she simply worried her bottom lip between her teeth. All of that had poured out of her like word vomit and she was left feeling... dirty on the inside.

Lori hated being jealous. She hated that he could spark that particular emotion in her. They weren't dating! It was times like this when she wanted to put an end to their extracurricular activities. If she couldn't keep it straight, maybe it was time for her to let them go.

"I'm sure she is," she returned, curling her toes in her shoes as if she was having to force herself to stop with that simple comment. "I just bet she does." Her tone wasn't bitter but... it was only because she was exercising some great amount of verbal control. "No, of course not.

Lori turned away from him, then, and moved back to her dresser. While she made a big show of spraying perfume onto each of her wrists and rubbing them together, she was really just looking for an excuse to turn her back to him. She needed a few seconds to properly compose herself. While she was at it, she quickly stroked her wrists over the bit of skin behind her ears.

If he was going to be fucking Katie... maybe she'd worn the wrong panties. John had only asked about dinner but she was sure he wouldn't object to a bit more. What she was wearing wasn't remotely acceptable if she was going to.... who was she kidding? She wasn't going to. She was going to dinner with the intention of looking at a few pictures. Even if she was randomly jealous and annoyed, she wasn't going to do anything with the boy.

"So what movie does she want you to see?" she questioned feigning interest, thought she hadn't schooled her expression enough to turn and face him, yet. Not worries, though, there was plenty of makeup and other girly nonsense to justify her staying turned around for so long.

Tyler liked Lori being jealous. He liked it, because he'd been just as jealous and annoyed over her date and if he could evoke those reactions in her, maybe that meant he still had a chance.

The truth was that Tyler didn't want that other girl. Sure, she was far from ugly and she had nice boobs, but sleeping with random girls had never been Tyler's style and the only girl he was actually interested in was standing right in front of him.

"..." He opened his mouth to answer her, but then he stopped. Why the hell was he doing this, anyway? Why the hell didn't he just do what he would do if she was any other girl? It wasn't like he'd ever been shy about asking a girl out before now.

"Lori.." he touched her arm and waited for her to turn around. The moment she was facing him, he pressed her back against her dresser and pressed his lips to hers as his hands dove into her hair. This was what he wanted. Her. He'd been stupid not to just make that plain from the start.

A chance? A chance at what? As far as Lori was concerned, he was thrilled with their arrangement. They were friends... best friends, really... they shared a bed on a regular basis. That was the extent of their relationship. He'd never acted as if he wanted it to be anything else.

As she waited for his answer, she busied herself by running her fingers through her hair and rubbing a little lip gloss over her lips. She really didn't want to hear the answer to her question but she waited for it, anyway, determined to play the role of best friend rather than fuck buddy. She was capable of doing this. She just had to keep her toes curled into her shoes.

"Yeah?" Her brow was furrowed with confusion when she turned to face him but that expression quickly faded into surprise when his lips pressed to hers. She grunted softly when her back connected with the dresser but she didn't actually protest. Though, she probably should have. John was sure to arrive any minute. She couldn't be making out with Tyler when her date showed up.

She kissed him for several moments before pulling back. "John will be here any minute," she breathed, obviously winded from the kiss he'd given her. As much as she really wanted to continue this, she knew they were sure to be interrupted any second, now.

"I don't care," he muttered, pressing his lips right back to hers before she could protest again. He definitely didn't give a flying fuck what her date would think if he happened to see. Tyler didn't care about anything but how much he wanted her.

His hands moved over her curves, touching her in all the places he knew would drive her crazy. Tyler knew exactly how and where Lori liked to be touched and caressed and he took full advantage of that now. He knew from experience that if he did this just right, she wouldn't be able to resist what he was sure they both wanted.

His hand slid down her side and over her hip. He pushed just slightly at the bottom of her dress, slipping his hand under the hem. She wanted him. He knew she did and he wasn't taking no for an answer. Not when the only reason she was resisting was because of some photo dork who couldn't hold a candle to him.

Lori barely managed to get through her quiet protest before his mouth pressed to hers, again. She knew she should pull away and insist they stop but willpower had never been her strong point... not where he was concerned, at least.

She hummed and whimpered into the kiss as his hands roamed over her body. He wasn't playing fairly. He had an extensive knowledge of what she liked when it came to such activities and he was using that against her.

"Tyler," she murmured as his hand slipped under her dress. "Should... stop..."

Her words weren't remotely convincing, though. Even as she murmured, almost moaned, about how they should stop what they were doing, she was kissing him. He wasn't wrong. She wanted him just as much as he wanted her. She always had. It just felt wrong, somehow, to do this with him before going on a date with another boy but, to be perfectly honest, things were progressing so nicely she was quickly forgetting about her previously mentioned plans.

"Don't.. want.. to," he muttered breathlessly as his lips dragged over her jaw and neck. "Taste.. too.. good.. want.. you.."

His hand kept moving up her leg, sliding over her thigh. His thumb brushed over the inside of her thigh and he groaned. How was it always so good between them? Better than it had ever been with anyone else? It was insane how much he wanted her and it never seemed to matter if it was appropriate or not.

Tyler didn't care about her date. He didn't care that they'd left the door to her dorm room cracked open a little. All he cared about was her - touching her, tasting her, making love to her. Nothing else mattered.

"You're fucking sexy in this dress, Lori," he mumbled as his lips traveled lower, kissing over her collarbones and then her chest.

Honestly, Lori didn't want to stop, either. They should stop but, then again, the small voice inside of her head had been telling her that since she'd started sleeping with her ex best friend's ex-boyfriend.

"So good," she breathed in agreement as he trailed heated kisses along her jaw and down the side of her neck. A soft moan built in her chest as his hand slid over her leg. Intentional or not, her legs parted slightly as his thumb stroked over the inside of her thigh.

She could feel so much heat building not far above that simple touch and she swallowed hard as that same heat seemed to wash over her entire body.

Lori had a date... a real date. John was set to arrive any second now. Yet, here she was, pressed against her dresser, whimpering, almost moaning, as she wantonly opened her legs for Tyler. Her dorm room door wasn't even pushed closed. Anyone could come along and see the way she was behaving... including the the date she'd momentarily forgotten.

Her head fell back as his lips worked over her collar bones and chest and she hummed with pleasure. A small smirk moved over her features when he commented on the dress. She might have been wearing it on this date with the photography geek but she'd bought it with him in mind. It was good to see that it was earning the reaction she'd thought it would.

"Mmm, Tyler," she breathed softly as she pulled his hips to hers. "Want you."

"I know." Tyler's smirk only grew as she breathed that she wanted him. That much had been obvious and his thumb shifted up to rub against her through her panties as if to emphasize that fact.

His other hand reached around for the zipper, tugging at it before pulling one of the straps over her shoulder, pushing at the dress until her breast was exposed. His lips pulled at her skin as they worked downward, finally wrapping around the newly exposed nipple.

He'd long since gotten over the idea that this with Lori was wrong. He might have felt guilty the first several times, but he couldn't help thinking of her as his now. Nothing had ever felt more natural or right to him than this with her.

Not in a mood to wait much longer, he began to tug at her panties, starting to slide them over his hips while one hand moved to his belt. He had a sudden need to be inside her and suddenly all this clothing seemed to be nothing more than an annoyance.

Tyler was confident and cocky. He had an air of superiority. He knew he was better than ninety percent of the population and he felt to need to hide it. Some people might not have liked those particular personality traits but Lori found it sexy as hell... especially when coupled with that smirk of his.

She moaned softly as he began rubbing her through her panties. She was wet. She'd known that before he'd touched her but, under his encouragement, she seemed to literally pool.

Her back arched as he opened the zipper of her dress and her fingers tangled in his hair as his lips worked over her skin, making their way to the flesh he'd just uncovered. She rewarded him with a gasped moan when his mouth closed around the puckered flesh. "Mmm, baby," she breathed.

Lori eagerly followed his well set example when he began pushing her panties over her hips. Her fingers moved to his belt, pushing his hand out of the way as she opened his pants with a practiced ease and pushed them, along with his boxers, down his body. Moments ago, she'd been protesting but that was completely forgotten, now. Suddenly, there was only her desire for him... the feeling that she might explode if she couldn't have him inside of her.

Tyler had known she'd be wet, too, but that didn't prevent him from letting out a low, satisfying groan when he felt it for himself. She was wet and it was because of him. Was there anything better in the world than that?

He eagerly stepped out of his pants and boxers once they fell around his ankles and without another word, he was lifting her, pulling her legs around his waist as he pushed into her with a groan.

"God, baby, you feel so good," he muttered against her skin, pulling the other strap down as he pressed kissed to that shoulder. He bunched her dress around her waist, far too lazy and preoccupied to pull it over her head, as he brought his lips back to hers, pulling her into a deep, passion-filled kiss.

Nothing was better or more important than this with Lori. Nothing. He was thrusting into her, pressing her backside against the dresser and probably leaving a mark where the wood pressed to her skin, but he didn't care. All that seemed to matter was being inside her and how amazing it felt.

"Fuck, baby, so good," he groaned against her mouth, one hand holding her against him while the other moved up to pinch and tease at her nipple. "Always so good with you."

Lori's arms circled around his shoulders, holding tightly to him, as he pulled her legs over his hips and pushed into her. "Oh my... Tyler," she gasped and a satisfied, some what delirious, smirk moved over her features.

He felt so good... better than the last time, if that was remotely possible. It never ceased to amaze her that they fit together so perfectly... almost as if they were made for one another.

However weak her protests had been, she couldn't believe she'd resisted for even a second. They both knew this was what she'd wanted. She did want to go on a date with John, the guy from her photography class. She wanted Tyler. She wanted him more than she'd ever wanted anyone else.

Lori moaned each time he thrust into her and her fingernails raked over his shirt covered shoulders. The dresser at her back hurt but not nearly enough for her to ask him to stop.

"The best," she agreed between hungry, heated kisses.

At some point during all of this, John, her date for the evening had arrived. Lori could have told you what had possessed the boy but, for some reason, he'd pushed her dorm room door open and was standing there watching as she and Tyler lost themselves in one another. It was anyone's guess as to how long he'd been there but when she spotted him through half closed eyes, an expression of horror moved over her face.

"John!" she exclaimed, instantly trying to put her feet on the ground. "I'm..."

Before she could get through her apology, though, he'd muttered something about how he was sorry for not knocking and rushed out into the hall, slamming the door in his wake. She thought briefly of going after him but she'd never quite managed to put her feet to the floor and Tyler still have a firm grip on her.

She glanced at Tyler and then the recently closed door. "I... oh, fuck it," she breathed before bringing her mouth back to his in a hungry kiss. She would talk to John tomorrow. Right now? She was going to finish what she and Tyler had started.

Tyler would have likely been pretty pissed if that boy had succeeded in really interrupting what he and Lori were doing. Date or not, Lori was his, especially at the moment, and he would have been far from pleased if Lori had gone after that boy at this very moment.

Which might be why his grip on her had tightened slightly as she heard her call the boy's name. There was no mistaking the almost possessive look he gave the other boy as his hand moved over Lori's breast and his mouth pressed to her neck.

"My thoughts exactly," he smirked, when Lori seemed to give up the idea of her date and focused her attentions back on him again. He pulled her into a deep kiss as he thrust into her a bit harder and faster, very much intent on finishing what he'd started.

Moments later, he was forcing a hand between them, rubbing demandingly over her clit. He was so close and there was no way he wasn't going to make sure she followed him over the edge when he came a moment later.

He collapsed against her, still holding her against the dresser, trying to catch his breath and once he did, a smirk moved over his face. "So," he murmured as his lips brushed lovingly over hers. "About that dinner.."

"You're impossible," she snorted as their mouths crashed together in another hungry, nearly desperate kiss.

There was no mistaking it, Tyler was proud of himself. She'd given him his way... he'd won... and he couldn't have been more happy.

She couldn't focus on that for long, though. A moment later, he was picking up the pace and she couldn't think about anything other than how very good he felt.

Lori pulled hungrily at his lips and moaned loudly as he pushed her over the edge. Her orgasm rocked through her body with quite a bit of force and she was left breathless and spent when he collapsed against her.

"Fucking hell," she breathed as she peppered his neck with kisses.

When he questioned her about dinner, she couldn't help laughing a little. "About that dinner..." she repeated, her voice a little weak. Her words trailed off as she brushed her lips over his a few more times. "You're coming to class with me tomorrow," she informed him after a moment. "You're going to explain why John saw me naked on the first date."

Honestly, she wasn't too terribly worried about what John thought of her but... this was going to be embarrassing... especially since they'd been paired off in some sort of group project.

"Okay," Tyler answered without missing a beat, kissing distractedly over her neck. "I'll just tell him you're my girlfriend and that he won't be getting any dates, period."

Had he just said that out loud? Oh, well. Tyler wasn't one to act embarrassed or make apologies for his words or actions. Either Lori would think he was kidding and laugh or.. she'd take him seriously and.. whatever. He'd deal with her reaction when it came. He was feeling far too happy at the moment, still basking in the afterglow, to worry about anything too much.

Lori's eyes closed as his lips trailed over her neck but she was unable to keep from laughing softly when he said that he would tell John she was his girlfriend and wasn't allowed to date her.

"Your girlfriend, huh?" she questioned, her tone dripping with amusement.

Honestly, she didn't hate the idea of being his girlfriend but she was certain he was joking. After all, they'd been doing this for quite a while now and this was the first time the topic had ever been broached.

Tyler tried to laugh with her when she obviously didn't take him seriously. A part of him couldn't help feeling a little hurt, though. He hadn't been completely joking and.. a part of him had hoped she'd realize it hadn't just been a joke.

"Is that so funny?" he asked, his tone turning a little more serious as he brushed the sweat dampened hair away from her face.

Lori's stomach sank a little when he laughed with her. She'd thought he was joking but, deep down, a part of her had hoped that he wasn't. She loved Tyler. She told him that all the time but, conveniently, she never went into detail about how and how much.

She brushed her lips lightly over his cheek and smiled. A moment later, she pressed her lips to his forehead.

"Being your girlfriend?" she asked when he questioned her. She hadn't missed his serious tone and her heart gave an involuntary jolt. "It's not so funny," she admitted softly. "I mean, I guess that's what I am... just without the title or commitment."

She'd agreed to go to dinner with John but she belonged to Tyler. If she hadn't, she wouldn't have been with him right now.

They said the words all the time, but Tyler had realized awhile ago that he meant more when he said them. Somewhere along the way, he'd fallen in love with her. He just hadn't known quite how to tell her or even if he should.

"I don't want anyone else, Lori," he admitted softly, his hand moving over her cheek as he looked at her, locking his gaze with hers. "Not for dinner, not for.. this.. not for anything.

He'd used Katie to make her jealous. He wasn't coming right out and admitting that just yet, but it was true. Lori was the only girl he wanted. She'd been the only girl for months now.

Strange, wasn't it?

All this time, their friendship had been based on the fact that they could tell one another anything. There wasn't a single thing they couldn't talk about. There was no need to hold back or keep secrets.

Until now, apparently. When it came to this, admitting that they'd fallen for one another, they refused to communicate about it.

"What about Katie?" she questioned, her earlier jealousies showing along with a hint of insecurity. "You were saying..." she looked away as she tried to swallow the emotions that swept over her.

If it wasn't obvious, she wasn't remotely opposed to the idea of being the only one he wanted. Honestly, she really loved the idea. After all, he was the only one that she wanted.

"I was trying to make you jealous," he admitted, smiling and brushing his lips over hers. "Behold my success, by the way. I thought your head might spin around when I mentioned taking her out." He smirked, obviously teasing her with that. Maybe he shouldn't, but he couldn't help himself.

She hadn't actually said she was agreeing, but Tyler wasn't one for self-doubts and the way she was looking at him kind of hinted she was going to agree. He hoped that wasn't just wishful thinking on his part.

"Lori, I love you," he added in a softer tone. "Not her, not anyone else.. I love you."

A somewhat triumphant grin moved over her features when he admitted that he'd only been trying to make her jealous. Of course, that cocky expression of hers faded as he pointed out how successful he'd been.

"I wasn't jealous," she protested, though it was more than obvious that she was lying. "Why would I... my head would not... I simply don't like the girl," she tried to explain away her earlier behavior.

Her objections ceased when he spoke, again, though. "I... Tyler..." she murmured, her eyes welling up with emotion. She rested her forehead against his and rubbed their noses together. "I love you, too," she breathed softly.

A part of her was terrified to admit to those feelings. Whenever she fell for someone, they seemed to remove themselves from her life. She wasn't sure she could stand it if something like that happened with him.

"Not anyone else," she murmured, echoing his words. "Just you."

"You were. You were completely jealous," he argued confidently, grinning as she tried to deny it. They both knew better and Tyler couldn't help being quite amused.

He couldn't describe how good it felt to have her return his words. Tyler could only stare at her with a goofy grin on his face for several moments and he almost wondered if he should be pinching himself right now. He'd dreamed of this moment and now it was happening.

He brushed his lips over hers, his hands moving into her hair as he sucked almost lazily at her lower lip. Maybe there was more he should be saying, but he really just wanted to kiss the girl, so that's what he did.

Honestly, Lori didn't know what else he could say. He loved her. He loved only her. Right now, he wasn't capable of topping that little piece of information.

She was smiling as as his lips brushed over hers and she was quite happy to return that kiss.

This was almost like a dream come true. She'd been fighting her feelings for so long and it was a relief to finally give into them.

Lori kissed him for several long moments before she finally pulled back and smiled.

"About that dinner..." she started. "I mean, as much as I like having this dresser pressed into my back side, you've run my date off and I'm kind of hungry."

She was teasing him, obviously. She couldn't have been more happy about the fact that she hadn't gone to dinner with John, the boy from her photography class.
