An interesting experiance This is something that occured last week when classess began for me, but still worth noting. I was participating in my Sociology 101 course, and my teacher, instead of teaching the material that the class was designed to present, He began working on his own project of "Anti-commercialism" and "The Hyper-commercialization of Children" and telling us how thje evil corporations need to protect our children from Advertising, as if they (We're talking High-school age students mostly right now) are unable to make their own choices. After telling him my own thoughts, which are fairly Free-Market based as well as being well thought out, and I, myself being a person who takes the time to examine the information a teacher presents to us, he said to me "Oh G-d. you're not a Libertarian, are you?" My mouth wouldn't work. THank goodness I was able to switch out of that class. Current Mood: crazy |
