Content that may be triggering must be put behind an Lj-cut with the triggers clearly marked.
For the purposes of this community, no one should feel the need to trigger for the word "queer" though we do understand that some LGBTQ people prefer not to use it to refer to themselves or others because of its history as a slur. We know that some folks don't like "queer" as an umbrella term. Please be mindful of people's preferences.

Rule #2
No Asexual/Demisexual Discourse
We know that it's a contentious topic within LGBTQ-spaces to argue whether or not cisgendered, hetero individuals who identify as Asexual or Demisexual are LGBTQ or not. This isn't an argument that we feel needs to be held here. This also includes debates about whether or not the split-attraction model is valid.
This group is absolutely open and inclusive and we do encourage Asexual and Demisexual individuals to talk about their experiences. We’re just not interested in making this a space which promotes LGBTQ in-fighting.
Rule #3
No Poly Discourse
Likewise, this isn't the place to discuss whether or not "poly" relationships are inherently LGBTQ or not.

Rule #4
TERF-rhetoric has not place here
TERF separatism, trans-exclusion and any similar ideology is not welcome here. Transwomen are women. As an offshoot of that, we're not really interested in interrogating whether or not "genital preferences" is transphobic.
Rule #5
SWERF-rhetoric has no place here.
This is a sex positive space, slut-shaming or the demeaning of sex workers or other forms of SWERF ideology will not be tolerated here.

Rule #6
No "Monosexual"/Biphobia discourse
Biphobia and bi-erasure take many different forms, and there are ways in which bisexuals experience unique prejudice. We don't feel like this is something that needs to be negotiated in this group. We want bisexual individuals to feel safe talking about their experiences without having their queerness questioned.
At the same time, grouping gays, lesbians and heterosexuals under one “Monosexual” moniker is disingenuous, and will not be tolerated in this group.
Rule #7
No "Truscum/Tucute" Discourse
We do not want discussions about whether or not an individual must experience gender dysphoria (Truscum) to be considered trans as this often erases agender and non-binary individuals from discussions. Gender is a construct, there is more than one way to negotiate your relationship with it.
In addition to sexual orientation, a genital preference infers that what kind of genitals your partner has is also important. Usually comes up in conversation concerning relationships with transgender individuals and is often considered transphobic.
MONOSEXUAL
Romantic and/or sexual attraction to members of one gender only
Split Attraction Model
A model which separates romantic and sexual attraction. (ex. Biromantic & homosexual)
SWERF
Sex Worker Exclusionary Radical Feminists
TERF
Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminists
Truscum
The idea that dysphoria is an essential component of being trans and anyone who doesn't experience it is fake, “appropriating transness”, a “transtrender”, etc. very often excludes non-binary and agender people as well.
