Rules post
All otherwise acceptable fannish posts about LazyTown and Latibær or those behind them will, at this stage, be considered on topic, no matter how trivial.
Comment threads that wind away from the topic should be taken elsewhere, even if the thread itself remains Lazytown-related, unless the poster OKs it. Please remember that posters usually get alerted for all comments to their posts, and are unlikely to want a long discussion about RobbieSteph in their inbox when their post was about Robbie and Stephanie's wardrobes.
Misogyny, trans-, bi- and homophobia or any other form of heterosexism; racism; sizism; ablism; classism; etc are not wanted here. This includes 'reclaimed' use of hate speech by those it does not refer to. In my opinion this is just basic politeness, and we do not want people unfamiliar with basic politeness.
I believe that while talent is indeed very sexy, all the visible actors on LazyTown are married or minors, and as such actor-related squee should focus on talent and not how much you want to sleep with them, though it is acceptable to mention it in passing. I believe that it is normal and acceptable for younger fans to be attracted to Julianna Rose Mauriello as she is now, since she is not actually a little girl, she just plays one on television. I do not, however, believe this about older fans, those who fetishise her youth or presumed innocence, and especially not those who were more attracted to her when she was younger.
All fanworks should be cut or linked if larger than a drabble or a few icons, or if not work safe. Ratings are optional so long as work-safeness is indicated in some other manner. Adult content is fine, but erotic fanworks focusing on a child character without aging up to or past 18 are not at this stage acceptable due to the laws applicable to my place of residence. They may be become acceptable if I appoint a co-mod who can look over such entries in legal safety and is willing to do so.
Type-specific fanwork guidelines:
Art/Graphics: should be cut or linked to with some indication of: size; topic (character/pairing/activity/theme); work-safeness; squicks/kinks/triggers if applicable.Posting is currently moderated. All posts will be de-moderated as soon as possible if acceptable. Members who have shown themselves trustworthy will be taken off moderated status as I see fit.
Icons: should be cut or linked to with an indication of number. Teaser icons must be worksafe and no more than 5 in number. Icon posts linked to outside the comm should be at least one quarter LazyTown icons, which may include cross-over icons, and may only be teased for with LazyTown icons. Multifandom icon makers are encouraged to post their LazyTown icons directly to the community rather than linking to multifandom icon posts. Detailed pairing/character information is not needed, and is discouraged unless only a few characters or pairings are featured, despite this work-safeness and squick/kink/trigger warnings are still required. Detailed pairing/character information should not be posted here for other icons in linked posts.
Fic: should be cut or linked to with a summary, and an indication of: length; characters and/or pairings; work-safeness; squicks/kinks/triggers if applicable; WIP/completion status.
Meta: should be cut or linked to with a summary, and an indication of length.
Recs: should be linked to with author/artist name and other information as required by work type.
