Society Gathering Post - Canada
It had been three months, to the day, since the attack on the Society compound in Arizona. They had regrouped, up here in this Canadian compound, and healed those who could be. They had reached out to all of their contacts, redoubled their efforts to gather intelligence, strengthened their position, turned to the Witches for better spells to protect them.
Life in the Canadian compound had finally seemed to go back to normal, whatever that meant, for them. There was a cell in one of their sublevels, and inside that cell a demigod that had once been one of their leaders. The Three were only two, still, for now. How normal could things be?
But tonight, it was time for a small ceremony, a memorial to remember those they had lost in the attack, and there were many. It took place in the cafeteria, the vastest hall they had, cleared of the usual chairs and tables. A dais was set up at one end, a small podium for anyone who might want to to take a microphone and say something about their losses. Behind them, pictures of the deceased faded in and out of view in a slow succession, projected onto a white screen. There was food and drinks available for all, and tonight, directors mingled with janitorial staff. Tonight, grief and remembrance were the great equalisers.
