Wandering the shelves, Adrestia picked and chose at random, adding to the stack of books cradled to her chest. Some chosen by author, others by title or subject matter. Each would be read and reread dozens of times, until the pages came unlaced and were lost one by one, and as that reminder her of books lost or ruined, Adrestia made yet another trip to add old favorites to the stacks that were ferried from shelves to cash register.
Her purchases boxed for delivery once she'd chosen an address, Adrestia held one back, claiming an overstuffed chair in the corner of the shop and curling up to wait for her aunt's return.
