WHO: Mercy & Faith
WHAT: Vampire Slaying
WHEN: Day 5, Morning
WHERE: Labyrinth Tunnels
WARNINGS: Violence, Nudity, Strong Language
STATUS: Incomplete

Mercy hadn't stood in her human form for longer then an hour after the ball, she'd stopped to talk to Tonks and Tara in the food tent, changed into a human then back into her furry form. It was biting at her really hard that she couldn't figure out her feelings for the life of her. Why had she been so upset since the time Faith had taken off until now? All she knew was that she didn't feel like talking with anyone so she said on all fours. Like a true Coyote Mercy had spent the night in a hole she had dug herself a little ways inside the forest, it was fairly cozy and did it's job to shelter her small frame. She'd have to do that a more often. Waking up Mercy found herself laying in a strange place that looked like some underground tunnel, she was startled at first but then figured she must be in the Labyrinth once again. Getting up and looking around she sniffed the air and then pawed her way carefully in the direction of a faint familiar smell.

Laying naked once again on the damp dirt floor was Faith's body curled up in the fetal position clutching onto a rock, apparently being mistaken for a pillow or something more comforting to the Slayer. If she could laugh she would be at the sight. Mercy walked closed to her and then picked up another strong sent coming from the woman's skin. This sent she knew to be of a human male. Mercy let out a huff, the thought of Faith ditching her and screwing some guy didn't sit well in her tiny stomach. Unfortunately there was nothing she could do about it, she pawed at Faith's arm and licked her cheek a little in hopes to wake the other up. She wasn't so sure it was safe to just lay there in the middle of, well where ever they were and doze away.

The dark haired Slayer remained unmoving, she let out another huff then walked around in a circle sniffing around before curling herself up in a ball close to Faith so that they were touching. Her snout burrowed under Faith's arm and she let out a small whimper. ”Mate” Suddenly the word was clear in her head as a bell, that was her answer, there was strong attraction there for the other woman. She had no idea where it came from or why but parts of her wanted to protect and care for Faith in the way a werewolf would chose and protect it's mate. ”Oh boy Mercy, what are you going to do about this? She's a woman, and well so are you, at least parts of you are human anyway.” She let out a sigh but remained where she was cuddled into the Sayer's side keeping her warm in the chilly tunnel.

She'd only had her eyes closed for a minute when she sense they were no longer alone, Mercy stood in a defensive position with her body long and strong. Her lip curled and she let out a menacing guttural growl as she watched the from of the vampire sneak out of the shadows and towards them.”MINE” In hopes to wake Faith up this time she barked, loudly at the vampire as he hissed and started to stalk a path in front of them. Whatever he was about to do she was ready for an attack.

Faith was a vampire Slayer. Weird days were pretty much inevitable for her. In fact, she'd pretty much decided she was immune to weirdness, just from long exposure. However. Meeting an incredibly hot guy who could also speak into her mind? And then sleeping with him? Okay, that one wasn't so abnormal. But finding the child, that had been something else. Man, there was something weird about that little girl, but then, she had arrived at a masked ball covered in blood. That had to count as weird in the first place. But also, there was just some vibe about it.

However... Faith had prophetic dreams. She didn't like them, and it meant that she had nightmares most of the time, but it also meant she was warned about most bad things that happened. Her problem was that she usually ignored them. But there had been no warning that she could pick out about the arrival of the little girl. And, really, why would there be? Still, the whole thing had been more than weird enough to tire her out, and she'd passed out in her bed before the little girl had. That was another weird thing, the child hadn't slept, now that she thought about it.

Slowly, she became aware of the world. She'd finally gone to her room, and wasn't impressed. However, it was a five-star resort compared to where she woke up. She'd seen places like this before. Every instinct she had was suddenly screaming at her, she her dark eyes opened wide. In an instant, she had sprung to her feet, and was looking around for a weapon. To buy herself some time, she ran forward, kicking the thing hard enough that it flew several feel and then hit against the wall, hard.

Still, that wouldn't take a vamp out for long. She looked around once more, assessing the situation. Okay. Naked, no stake, no weapon. "...Shit... Mr Sparkly King, a motherfucking weapon would be really good and NOW!" But nothing appeared. Her eyes fell on a wooden door, and suddenly she smiled. Wooden... without even a seconds warning, she lashed out with a fist, and shattered the thing. Grabbing one of the shards, she ran over to the vampire, staked him through his heart, and then gave him a high kick to send him reeling back. He turned to dust, and Faith looked around.

"No sweat... literally." She glanced around, saw the small form of Mercy, and tilted her head to the side. "S'up, girl?" Though her tone was casual, she found that she had some odd sort of feeling sweep through her. Guilt? No way. She hadn't done anything wrong. She coughed and ran her fingers through her tangled dark hair. "Vamps - 0, Slayer - 1. Let's get a move on."

It had felt like a game, dream or some kind of twisted reality that's what she had been dropped into by the self proclaimed “King.” She wondered if her friend Zee back home would know anything about a Goblin King, he was the oldest creature she knew of in existence surly he would have been able to give her a little incite but that wasn't possible. Once the Vampire had moved Mercy had lunged for it knocking the thing to the ground, it just wasn't as pretty or even human looking as the ones she had seen in the seethe back home. But like the Fae she knew most vampires were not always as they had seemed. Her Coyote form had his skinny pale body pinned to the dirt, he looked more like something out of a romance novel only not as handsome and more on the wrong end of a sledgehammer the way his face was deformed.

Mercy clawed at the vampires face scratching him well but knew there was only one way to kill him, when she saw Faith was to her feet she jumped out of the way and watched as he was slain to dust. Doing a quick change back into her human from she stood there with her back to Faith when her mind went back to the strange feelings that filled her stomach. She started walking forward in silence until she tripped and fell into the dirt.

“Damn it!” Mercy clutched her ankle in pain and looked back at what had tied her up. Her eyes fell on the walking stick. The stick was magic of some unknown source, it had fallowed her after she had taken it from a house she had snooped around in on the murder case. She was told it had been stolen and even after trying to give the thing back it followed her, and here of all places. She glared at it with narrow eyes. “Where were you five minutes ago?”

She snarled as the stick rolled towards her, she picked it up and tossed it away but the thing only appeared next to her moments later. “Oh fine!” She rolled her eyes and used the stick to raise herself to her feet and tried to walk. “Ouch, this is going to sting for a while.” She looked towards Faith then at the pile of black dust that had been the vampire. “Nice kill.” She forced a smile but her eyes showed something else, sadness but she bit her emotions down trying to brush it off.

The dark-haired girl frowned as Mercy rose to her feet. She'd been hurt enough to know when it was happening to someone else, that was obviously the case here. But, what really surprised her more than anything else was that she gave a damn. She walked over, her dark eyes thoughtful as she stood beside the other woman. She paused there for awhile, unsure of what to do.

"Hey, um... do you need... I can be a crutch or... whatever..." She frowned, hating how uncertain she was coming off, but it was an honest reflection of how she felt. She didn't like it, though, so she went for a more cheerful tone. "I sure as hell ain't carrying you..." Okay. So that sounded more bitchy than cheerful. Damn it, she was just plain no good at this. Disgusted with herself, she turned away.

"Uh, so..." She waited until she had her voice more under control. "What's with the stick? Man, I wish I had one of those. Perma-stake! Bam, I'd rock hardcore, right?" She tried for a smile, but... something was just off for her. She couldn't understand it. Hell, she'd had a good night last night, why the fuck should she be all freaking out now? She shouldn't. So she would stop. Yeah.

"Anyway, we'd better jet... look, ladder!" She pointed ahead down the tunnel, and being the slightly less than wise person that she was, she took off without looking around more than that. So, she was taken completely by surprise when a vampire jumped on her from behind, pinned her slender form against the stone walls of the tunnel.

Mercy was strong and tried not to show any signs of weakness but even still she had learned that no matter what someone would know how she was feeling thanks to being around the wolves. She also sensed what the other was feeling so much uncertainty coming from the head strong, act fast woman it was a bit surprising to her. She simply shook her head. “No thanks, I think I can manage minus a paw, and I don't think you're the kind of piggy back girl, that would be a little awkwardish.” She laughed hoping to lighten up the situation. It was hard enough going through this thing not knowing what would jump at them next so it was best to get any unwanted tension out of the way between them.

Mercy limped beside Faith walking further into the tunnels that seemed to be just a never ending maze as the rest of it had been. “Oh this? Well as far as I know it's faerie magic of some kind...” She continued the story and explained it to Faith. “It just won't leave me alone, I've even woke up with it in bed with me, and once in the shower at Adam's place. It's more of a stalking stick for sure.”

The next thing Mercy had noticed was Faith running off and before she could say anything or react another vampire was trying to have it's way with Faith, this sent a surge of anger through her body. She clenched her fist around the stick taking it from it's place in the dirt as she ignored the pain in her ankle making her way to Faith's aid posthaste. “Dipwad!” She said taking the stick and pushing it through the vampires back with brute force.

Mercy's pulse raced watching the vampire turn to dust, and when it vanished she was left with a look of anger on her face, her eyes were pale. She knew this must be what it felt like when the Wolves got angry because all she wanted to do was tear something apart. Glaring into Faith's eyes like a raged predator she herself pinned the woman to the wall using her strength to keep the other in place. “Are you mad? You could have gotten yourself killed!”

In truth, Faith could piggyback the other girl, and easily. But she understood that it was a bit of an undignified position, so she just nodded and shrugged the whole thing off. And it was a weird offer for her to have made in the first place, really. So she was glad to let it go. Only... she found some things harder to let go than just saying so. Such as her odd feelings of uncertainty and guilt. It nagged at her, the more she tried to ignore it, the worse it got.

She listened to the story, and then started laughing. "Talk about a fucking boomerang... that shit could be a good weapon. Toss it, BAM! It's back to you. Pretty wicked." One strength of hers was that she could usually see the positive side in any situation that involved a potential weapon. She thought about that some more, trying to think of potential other uses, but then the thing with the vampire happened.

The Slayer told herself that she was about to do something, and maybe she even would have. She tended to be good at that sort of thing. But the truth was, Mercy saved her ass. Again. She looked into the other woman's eyes, felt uncomfortable once more, and dusted vampire dust off her naked skin. "Yeah. Thanks, girl."

And then, she was being pinned against the wall once more. Confused, she looked into the other woman's enraged eyes, seeing for the first time how pissed off she really was. And, being who she was, there was a good chance she could have pushed Mercy off her. But she didn't, she didn't even try. She just looked back, confusion on her face. "Are you fucking nuts, Mercy?"

Mercy's heart was beating hard against her chest, she was out of breath and past the point of being enraged, her arms shook as she was pinning Faith there. It felt like some suppressed part of her had be woken up brought on by the other woman's actions and as much as she felt like tearing the other woman to bits the rest of her was shocked at her own anger.

Her eyes fell shut and her grip on Faith's arms loosen, she instead pinned Faith to the wall with her own naked frame then took a hand and brought it to slid down Faith's cheek. Mercy could smell Faith's confusion, she took a deep breath in inhaling her surroundings being this close to the other woman sent bumps over her skin, however she could also smell someone else all over Faith's skin. Now she knew how she felt, betrayed, betrayed by her new friend it made her feel sick or like she had been kicked in the stomach sending all the wind out of her body.

She opened her eyes again showing how hurt she was.“I trusted you with my life and you slapped me in the face, was he a good fuck then? His stench is all over your sweet skin.” Her eyes were narrow as she looked into the chocolate browns of the other woman. Her voice was more husky then usual. Somehow the animal inside of her was coming out in a way it never had before, speaking through her almost.

Mercy did her best to get a grip on herself but it was hard, she had no idea why she was acting this way but the feelings were genuine as far as she could tell. She could hear herself talk sounding like Bran, the head of the Werewolves when she had done something bad as a child, or even more appropriate Adam whens he had let him down over something. Shaking her head Mercy let go of Faith and backed up, she folded her arms over herself, turning a cold shoulder she walked away from Faith. “I guess I am.” She chocked out in a tone more her own.

The confusion was a good thing, really. Most people who tried to pin her against a wall? Would be sporting at least a broken nose for their efforts. Faith wasn't the sort of person who put up with that, at least, not most of the time. But she was too busy trying to figure out just what it was that she was feeling, so she didn't rearrange the other woman's face for her.

Her eyes widened as she felt Mercy's hand on her cheek, and she gasped softly and looked almost... scared? Yes, that was the best way to describe it. Scared of what, she had no idea. And the expression was quickly gone. But, as always, Faith wasn't nearly as good at hiding her emotions as she seemed to think she was. The way she rolled her eyes at Mercy's comment was completely transparent as a defense mechanism, it's just most people didn't bother to look past it.

"What the hell, Mercy? Yeah, he was fine, you know, for a bathroom fuck against the wall. What the fuck do you care, anyway?" She was getting way more pissed off than she should have, given that normally, she would have just laughed. But she wasn't laughing, she was angry, and she crossed her arms over her chest protectively as she lashed out with her words.

"How the fuck did I slap you across the face? As far as I know, you don't own me." She sneered slightly. No one owned her. She wouldn't have it any other way. The Slayer rubbed her shoulders and arms, self-conscious with her nakedness suddenly, and then pushed away from the wall. "Whatever. Psycho. I'm outta here." Running, of course. Always running from things that threatened her, not physically, but emotionally. She siezed the ladder she'd seen and started climbing it.

The rage that tensed up her body was nothing like she had felt before, it was strong and made her head pound more then all the racket that went on in her shop when it came to totally tearing apart a car. While sanding there is was more like she was watching herself do and say these strange things, maybe the Labyrinth was getting to her because she was totally lost.

When Faith ran Mercy paused for a moment then followed after her shimmying up the ladder. Once she came to the surface daylight bright in her eyes she saw that Faith hadn't gotten far and was able to catch up. Her speed was a match for the Slayer's. "Faith!" She called nearing the other woman "Please don't run from me." She reached out to stop the other woman and pulled her back to an abrupt stop so their bodies bumped together, her athletic arms trapped Faith in place.

"I'm sorry..and I care because I just bloody well do, about you." She panted for air as she spoke but never let go, as she held the other woman's naked body against her she felt sparks towards the other woman fly through her body. "I can sense that you are scared..I-I never meat too. I don't know what came over me." Her eyes were more normal seeming more herself but when she moved Faith to face her Mercy went on her primal gut instinct and kissed Faith hard with passion almost pleading for forgiveness.

Her grip on Faith changed to a softer one, she'd acted like an animal but the kiss even though forced seemed to melt away her confusion and anger putting out the fire that had been blazing through her insides. Pulling back she looked at Faith waiting for the reaction. “I need you.” This tone was soft and sounded her own, she smiled weakly and let go of Faith. She'd stand there and take it if a fight was coming because she figured she deserved it.

Faith climbed out of a giant urn into bright sunshine, and saw, just as she'd been told through her journal by the girl named Sarah, that they were in an enormous plant hedge maze. She looked around, then climbed out. Whatever, any direction would be better than staying around this situation. Yeah, she really didn't do emotion very well, and like it or not, she definitely had some emotion for the other woman. More than some. Uncomfortably much.

If Mercy was a man, Faith would just jump her, and that would be the end of that. But she wasn't. Despite the fact that she was a bit of a tomboy, Mercy was very, very female. Uncomfortably so. But Mercy was apparently also incredibly fast, and caught up to Faith despite her storming off. She whipped around, ready to give another nasty comment, but stopped when she saw the look on the other woman's face.

Despite the act she put up, Faith wasn't nearly the bitch that she projected. Oh, she had her nasty side, no doubt about that. But she also had feelings, and something about the way that Mercy was looking at her touched her. Made her as uncomfortable as hell, of course, but also touched her.

And yet again, she was caught totally off guard by something Mercy did. Maybe if Mercy had been a man, she would have seen it coming. As it was, she was trapped, not by Mercy's arms only, but also by her own frozen muscles. She gasped into the kiss, blinked, considered, went to push Mercy away... and then kissed her back. It hadn't been her intention to do so, but she did it anyway. Her arms even came up to wrap around the other woman.

When it was over, she did push away, and gave Mercy a confused look. "Hey... you kissed me..." Yeah. Faith was obviously the brain child there.
