Who: Jackie OT anyone
Where: Soldatenheim
When: April 1st, 1941

Und der Haifisch, der hat Zähne (Oh the shark has, pretty teeth)

Jackie knew her Mama would have a heart attack if she saw her. She was dressed in a long, skintight gown. Her legs were visible, because the gown was slit to the waist. The dress was sleeveless, and low cut. She was near naked on the stage, but the men in the audience seemed to like it. The soldiers seemed to leave her alone as long as she sang, and showed too much skin.

The song was from 'Three Penny Opera', and she sang it in German, because they loved songs in native German.

Of course, she was in France... but things were all kind of odd right now.

Und Schmul Meier bleibt verschwunden
Und so mancher reiche Mann
Und sein Geld hat Mackie Messer
Dem man nichts beweisen kann

(And Schmul Meier stays missing
As do some rich men
And his money has Mack the Knife,
On whom they can't pin anything.)

She shook a little for the Germans, and finished her song. Jackie sat at a table, alone, and sipped at a drink. That was her last song for the night. She'd make it home by curfew, as usual. Today, she had a good feeling about sitting at the table, so her cat was tied up. She'd normally let it roam around free.
