Hans settled in beside Michel, admiring the easy manner in which he spoke to others. It reminded him of Marie-Pierre, the way he could smile and charm anyone with his stories.
He studied Michel's face, thinking him handsome when he smiled in that manner. A man such as that likely had women everywhere fawning over him. He turned his attentions away from such thoughts by watching the griddle instead, interesting himself in the process by which the crêpes were made.
