As his Viper cleared the launch tube, he pushed every lingering doubt out of his head. He forgot about all his frak ups, he forgot about all the veiled threats from Jester and Dagger and all the others since he'd arrived on Avalon. Now was his time to shine. Now was the time to prove he was made of the right stuff.
He eased the throttle forward and took position near his assigned Raptor. Once they'd synchronized speeds, he called across the wireless, "Hydra 5, in position."
