Inventory
As a precaution, Derrick had been advised to continue to use his wheelchair as the doctors were worried that something could happen to reverse his recent use of his legs. It was why he was being flown to the Battlestar Pacifica for additional tests as the medical facilities aboard the warship were more advance.

After the passenger shuttle was lowered into the hanger deck of the Battlestar Pacifica, Derrick was wheeled down the ramp and onto the deck. His excitement of coming over to the warship  for the test that could give him the good news he hoped for changed to something else the moment he was with in the presence of  military. He took noticed of every viper, raptor, crewmember and officer that his eyes saw. His mind took inventory.

“Mr. Princeton, welcome aboard the Pacifica,” said the officer. “I’m Major Chase, Pacifica’s Chief Medical Officer.”

“Good to meet you Major,” he replied with a smile. “I am always so trilled to come aboard one of these battlestars. It makes me proud to  be a Colonial citizen.”

“I’ll pass your words to the Commander. Who knows? Maybe after the neurologist gives you a clean bill of health an arrangement can be made to have someone can give you a ‘walking’ tour of the ship.”

“I would like that very much, more than you can imagine.” He grinned.

She smiled back him. “You know, I am a big fan of your wireless show. The wireless is buzzing about your good fortune. One of the Gods must like you.”

“I thank God then.”
