Concrit meme - Take 17!
We're having a concrit meme again! The rules are the same as last time:

Comment to this post with a list of your characters.

Then reply anonymously to the other players, giving concrit on how they're playing/their characterization/their interactions/etc. Or ask them stuff, like why did chara A did this or say that or w/e.

Flame anyone, and I'll kill you in the face. I'm looking for something that can help us improve, not for someone to go 'OMG YOU SUCK!!11!' at someone else. If you really do believe someone's screwing up, then be civil, and explain why you feel that way.

You can just praise a character, if you can't find anything wrong with what they do. It's always better if you can elaborate on why you like that character, but hey, flailing at someone is fine too.

This is semi-mandatory! If you really, really can't take concrit, then go ahead and don't participate, but I'd rather everyone did.

I think you're doing a fantastic job handling Doumeki now that he's aged up. I realize that he's not TOO different from his younger self, but I think that his maturity translates over and it's great seeing him around.

Your lack of consistent activity is a little frustrating. You should try to fix it before you reserve so many characters. A character like Subaru should be talking to more people. The way you play him now he's hardly ever around. You know lack of activity is getting bad when it starts affecting your characterization like this. I hope you do something about it.

I am working on it. I was on hiatus for a while, and even after I came back, some things happened with my work schedule. I'm not trying to make excuses or justify my inactivity, but that and coming down with a serious case of RP apathy haven't exactly helped either. I'm working on it... but there is a reason why I haven't gone through with apping any of the characters I've reserved thus far, and thats because I know I haven't been active enough to justify bringing in more characters.

You were already having activity issues when you reserved. I think you did the right thing deciding against apping though. It's sad to see characters neglected by a good player. If you feel RP apathy maybe a break is in order?

I just... came back from one? I was on hiatus, and when I came back last week, I had the intent on posting, but between the apathy and unexpected work stuff, I really just didn't get the time to. I've barely been online at all since Monday, which is generally unlike me and not how I prefer things to be. I didn't think my activity was all that terrible beforehand given that I'm juggling a few characters that I genuinely want to play on top of having a full time job and a few other obligations.

But to each their own, I suppose.

If you truly have big issues with her inactivity (not the typical play moar!11 from the hmd memes), there's a complaint box in the mods journal.

Calling her out on reservations for characters she didn't even pick up is a little extreme, anon.

Not taking sides with the other anon but isn't this meme for giving individual crit to the muns? Agreed re:reserving a bunch of characters when you don't have time or desire to play isn't the best idea ever but idk reserving isn't apping

It is, and I allow comments on inactivity, but repeatedly bugging her about something she didn't even do because she KNEW she was having trouble is kind of pointless. It's giving crit for something that's already fixed; what's she supposed to do, cry because she reserved characters a few weeks ago? She understood the point already, she gave her reasons, there was no need to keep insisting on it ._.

I realize I've been doing this, and I've been doing it quite a lot lately, but real life is overwhelming me at the moment and I'm still technically kind of on semi-hiatus? But yeah, I get distracted and post and get all excited then I have a rough day and it nips me in the ass and I'm out of juice for that post. If I'm still struggling with my activity by next month, I think I'm going to drop one or two of my characters.

I hope things will get better for you. And maybe just try to not rush to post, if you know you might not be around? Or make a note if you really want to update but aren't sure if you'll be able to tag a lot. That way, it won't seem like the post's being ignored.

Your Fay-sensei kills me every time he tags. He's crazy without being annoying to play with. And as has been said a million times before, you give great depth to a character from a crack omake universe, and all while keeping him from going stale. It's a pleasure to play with him! <3

Also, Chise is lethally cute.

I know you love Fai-sensei, and his muse is probably your loudest right now since you finally have castmates, but I miss seeing your other characters. In particular, it seems Chise and Chun-Hyang have been really really quiet lately. Maybe I'm just not stalking the right threads, and I know you've been on semi-hiatus, but I's still like to see a lot more of them. 8|b

No, you're right, I've noticed that as well. I'm already trying to fix it, by throwing Chise at Karyou and Fay and having Chun Hyang fight with Seishirou. Lately everyone but Fay has been really quiet though, it's part of why I wanted to update Sakura to make me all inspired to post~ I'm trying to focus on the girls now and make Fay shut up. Though I'll probably post with him again this weekend simply because he has stuff he needs to say orz.

But yeah, I'm working on it! Thank you!

Since you asked... Both your Fuumas are fantastic. I can't wait to see X!Fuuma around more, and I really loved TRC!Fuuma's dishwashing entry (that sounds dumb) and how he was silently pissed off, but didn't really show it much.

Yuzuriha finding out about the DoE business was just spot-on, too. I like that she didn't make a big emo drama out of it, but that she didn't just dismiss it, either. The conflict between those two was so much fun to stalk.

I've noticed that in a lot of his replies to Sakura (rather than in hers to him, which is why I'm addressing this here), Kero doesn't seem to have any clue as to where she is, or what she's doing or anything... I don't know if it's a miscommunication issue, or what, but I feel like they shouldn't be so disconnected.
