Concrit meme - Take 13!
We're having a concrit meme again! The rules are the same as last time:

Comment to this post with a list of your characters.

Then reply anonymously to the other players, giving concrit on how they're playing/their characterization/their interactions/etc. Or ask them stuff, like why did chara A did this or say that or w/e.

Flame anyone, and I'll kill you in the face. I'm looking for something that can help us improve, not for someone to go 'OMG YOU SUCK!!11!' at someone else. If you really do believe someone's screwing up, then be civil, and explain why you feel that way.

You can just praise a character, if you can't find anything wrong with what they do. It's always better if you can elaborate on why you like that character, but hey, flailing at someone is fine too.

This is semi-mandatory! If you really, really can't take concrit, then go ahead and don't participate, but I'd rather everyone did.

Here's not repeating what you've already been told about your characters in previous memes, or telling you what you're already aware of regarding activity: Paparan is great. Very mature and paternal but still Syaoran. Kusanagi is sweet and cuddly and just about perfect. &hearts

Someone on the last meme said they were glad that Ashura wasn't as angsty lately about Yasha leaving, and this last month... he's been incredibly angsty. I don't plan to make this a lasting thing, to let you all know.
I also still haven't been doing much in the "make Kujaku meet more people" area. I haven't forgotten about it, though. o/

It's nice to see Mong Ryong commenting more :) About Ashura, it didn't seem that he was being too angsty. I expect a more extreme reaction when events are involved, so it didn't strike me as overly angsty, if that's what you were referring to.

As usual, you're handling all your characters just great. I know you worry about playing them too generic/boring at times, but really, I think you're one of the strongest players in the game. And this is late, but I wanted to say that deaged!Fuuma made so much sense and seemed so plausible. While Fuuma can be difficult to play with at times (because he's an ass and you stay faithful to his characterisation as one) I think you're doing an especially wonderful job at giving him depth. Even though he's a perpetual smiley guy, one can still discern his mood of the day behind that smile, and while that has to be difficult to play, you manage it so well.

I'm starting to think you should consider playing someone less demanding than Kobato. While I can absolutely understand that RL gets in the way, it still sucks that a character who could be spamming everyone and build tons of CR just seems to never be around.

All I can say right now is that maybe you should consider not apping so many characters (since I know you're working on several apps) until you feel you can handle the ones you've already got?

It's hard for me to explain it but I guess I feel like Kurogane is too... all knowing?

Like, when Mamakura first came to Kiseki, Kurogane knew right away that she wasn't the princess he knew. But Mamakura and Paparan are supposed to look just like Syaoran and Sakura. He's an observant guy, but I found that hard to believe. In fact, with the doubles he seems to be able to tell right away; with the Fais its different because of the eye-patch and also one being his soulmate, but with characters he may not know very well, and especially when they first arrive to Kiseki, he seems to be able to tell right away that something's "different", despite them communicating through journals and only responding one or two comments before he gets it.

And same with little Kurogane, when he posted an entry that amounted to only "hn", Kurogane seemed to know right away that something had happened between him and the little Fais(or at least it seemed that way.) And it's just hard to believe that he would be THAT observant, despite the fact that it isn't too far-fetched.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that yes, Kurogane is observant, but I think that you're making him SO observant that it just seems silly and that you're letting your ooc knowledge move into how you play him.

I sometimes feel I can't reply to Kurogane. I understand he's more quiet at his point in canon, but when all he says is "I'm fine" or "Oi" to any reply, it's hard to think of a way to keep tagging him without making my characters sound far too pushy or nosy.

I've been running into a problem with keeping him active and tagging around others without making it seem like he's too interested, so I'm probably going to have to canon review. And JL I meant to ask what I should do about Subaru's locked post, because I always have to ask before hacking/doing something when it comes to locked threads, it's kinda drilled in my brain at this point. |D;

I think that's a problem all muns with an asocial, stalker-ish character run into, and I imagine it'd be especially difficult if it's your only character and you're therefore unable to be as active as you may want to be. For what it's worth, I think you play a great Sei, so my only advice to help with interaction would be to try to let him just randomly run into characters around Kiseki rather than initiate conversations. And I don't think you need to worry about commenting on hackable entries and action logs; if the mun doesn't want certain characters to comment, they'll likely lock the post either completely or make it viewable to specific characters only, or somehow otherwise specify their preferences in an ooc note. Interacting with all kinds of different characters is kind of the point of the game, after all.

I think you're doing a great job, so far! Seishirou's definitely not an easy character, and TRC's in particular has such little canon info, it's just amazing to see him being played well. The only crit I can think of is that I'd like to see him thread more with the vampire twins.

My FAIL is epic...one of my harddrives was burned out but under warranty, so I was supposed to get a new one from the manufacturer by the end of the week. They sent the wrong size ;_;...so then I was supposed to get both harddrives replaced by the end of last week. It's monday now...so it should be any day...! I hope. I'm sorry to everyone I left in threads-of-no-return...if I'd known I'd be without a computer for nearly three weeks (so far) I'd have sent them home for a while.
