Concrit meme - Take 11!
I wasn't too sure about doing this one because of the activity issues and all, but there HAVE been new characters & muns joining since the last crit meme. So here we go.

We're having a concrit meme again! The rules are the same as last time:

Comment to this post with a list of your characters.

Then reply ANONYMOUSLY to the other players, giving concrit on how they're playing/their characterization/their interactions/etc. Or ask them stuff, like why did chara A did this or say that or w/e.

Flame anyone, and I'll kill you in the face. I'm looking for something that can be positive to the game and can help us ALL improve. Not for someone to go 'OMG YOU SUCK' at someone else. Not that I expect that to happen, but I'm just making sure.

You can just praise a character, if you can't find anything wrong with what they do. If you can elaborate on WHY you like that character, it'd be better, but hey, I won't mind if you can't do anything but keyboard smash at someone's awesome.

This is semi-mandatory! If you really, really can't take concrit, then go ahead and don't participate, but I'd rather everyone did.

Your characterisation is as good as always, and I hope to see more of Fai again - it'd be a shame to lose him, seeing as how rare it is to see a complex character like him played as well as yours. I also miss your Sakura a little. I think you know by now how much the entire game adores your Sakura, so I really hope you're not about to drop her. If the muse is quiet, however, it's of course better not to force it. &hearts

The only crit I have would be in regards to Mokona: he's lovely, but I'd like to see a little more of his, in lack of a better word, "meaner" side. Hit me up the head and disregard this if I just haven't been stalking enough Mokona/Watanuki threads, but I sometimes feel like you're playing him more like the white Mokona?

OH not at all D: She's just been a victim of the general activity fail we've had, I think. But I'm most definitely not about to drop her. I'll be working on playing moar with her too, then!

N-no, I think that's pretty much accurate. The last threads I can remember playing with him were more like silly threads, so it would definitely give that impression. I'll keep that in mind and try to play more varied threads with him (I do like his more serious side, too).

... I am sure Watanuki would not approve of people encouraging that kind of behaviour from Mokona, btw.

I love all of your characters! *helpful* I don't think you have to worry about Himawari and Sakura, they're both great.

Yuzuriha is fantastic, by the way. I'm really glad you picked her up.

Watch anon try to word this without sounding rude and failing.

I realize your RL situation doesn't always allow you to finish threads and such, and that's perfectly all right and understandable, but I feel like I often see you comment in threads and only continue them for a while, whereas threads with your characters' significant others, specifically, tend to often get your full attention. We all have different motivations when it comes to rping, and of course a lot of focus will go to our characters' most special people, but sometimes at least this anon feels somewhat discouraged from commenting on your charas' entries at times, since she gets the impression that you're not all that interested in creating CR with any other characters than the soulmates of yours.

Your characterisation is spot-on and you're always fun to play with, but maybe that could be something to look out for in the future? I hope this comment makes sense, orz.

No, it makes sense for sure! Um, while I'm not going to say that playing for pairings isn't something I like (it is a big thing for me, although it doesn't necessarily have to be omg romance or a canon/~*soulmate~* pairing in the least) what I tend to give my attention to is the threads where I know people really want replies from me. This... is going to sound super dumb, but it's a confidence issue on my part. I tend to sit on replies in general because I have a hard time coming up with response that won't bore the brains out of the other person, and it helps when someone asks me or bugs me to continue a thread. Like, even if it's just a small prod, it sort of lets me know what to try and focus on sometimes. It... probably doesn't help that I really suck at commenting around too. Wtf I used to be able to handle doing a lot of threads at once and now that seems so long ago orz.

Either way, I'm really sorry that's discouraged you from playing with me ;o; Honestly, I'm always happy to continue any thread even if I'm slow, and anyone is always free to poke me to finish something or do plot ideas for CR. These past couple of days I've been kind of non-existent, granted, but ;; I'd pick up old threads in a heartbeat, I just hate to go back to something that's days old and give a boring dumb response without knowing if the person was even interested in doing anything in particular with that thread anymore.

... Yeah, I suck. I hope that makes sense @_@

Thank you for the explanation, I understand the problem at hand much better now. And maybe "discourage" was a poor choice of word, what I meant was rather that I've started to hesitate tagging you because I'm unsure about if you really want me to tag or not. And then, nagging you to continue a thread feels even more like an intrusion when I've not even been certain if you even wanted to play that thread to begin with. Let me just say then that I absolutely would love to continue any thread with you, even if it's several days old. :D

Yeah, no that's definitely understandable, I'm really sorry that I gave that impression in the first place. I'm not saying that you should have been coming to be and bothering me for a response, but rather just explaining why I gave more focus to other threads. I do know asking that sort of thing can be awkward. ;; So I'll definitely focus on being better about splitting my attention more evenly. ♥

Ashura~ ♥! I love your Ashura. He's great. *is helpful*

Kujaku is... Entertaining to interact with but I was thinking if he had some actual friendships within Kiseki (I know his character probably isn't into that but even if they're totally superficial friendships) he might be even more fun to interact with and stalk. As it is he just seems a little... like he's just there and doing his own thing. Which is cool (watch the person with no idea of the canon try to understand a character) but he doesn't seem to have any real bonds with anyone in the game other than Ashura. And I have no idea how you manage to self thread that stuff, I am in awe of you. *hates self threading* Don't take this the wrong way or anything, because he really is fun to play with and you do a great job with him. If this impression is all just me because I suck at stalking characters outside my fandom, please let me know. And then ignore me.

As for Mong Ryong... Mong Ryong~ ♥!

I completely understand that he'd probably be more fun to have around if he'd make some friends, but like the other anon said, I sadly don't think it's very IC for him to form too many superficial friendships, even. He's a ceiling!cat, basically, and most likely not the ideal character to bring into a game which whole point is for characters to interact and bond with each other. Before she was reset, he was kinda friends with Kotori, at least?

I really have no crit to offer. I gave you some last time around and I feel like you've taken it all into consideration. Your Mokona is perfect as always, and you've really improved with Touya and Kuro (I think possibly just because you've become more comfortable with them maybe?)

At this point in his timeline, the last interaction Seishirou had with Subaru was at the end of the bet. During that confrontation Subaru completely crumbles...the way I read it though, it really seems like Seishirou is waiting for him to fight back. He drags it out, driving his point home trying to get a rise and goes so far as to say that if he really resisted, Subaru would be strong enough to break free of his spell. But Subaru...doesn't. I really think that Seishirou wanted Subaru to rise to the occasion and fight back, and was dissapointed when he didn't...which is why I play him, at this point, resentful towards Subaru's apparent weakness.
