100 ❀ Video/Action

[Anyone passing by the candy shop today or glancing at their journal will see Himawari outside the candy shop's front door, holding a little tray of little baskets, all full of little candy-coated chocolates, and sparkling at anyone who may be passing by]

Free samples! Today only - try our new recipes and flavors!

[Over the past seven years, this day has usually been one for melancholy or thoughtfulness, considering it marks another year in Kiseki, but this year, Himawari is determined to face it with more cheerfulness and happiness than previous years. Dare she even think maybe with a kind of hopefulness? Regardless, her good mood doesn't seem faked for once.]

Free samples for everyone today to mark the candy shop's anniversary! [It's not the exact day for the shop, of course, but she's long since forgotten the day she got the job here - or the day she inherited the shop from Kakei and Saiga. So today works as well as any]

The candy shop has been around for almost seven years now, so I just wanted to do my part to thank everyone for your continued support and business over the years - to both old and new customers. Thank you very much! Shizuka-kun, Lancelot-san, and I are all incredibly thankful!

And if you like the candies, please consider returning and buying all our different lines of candy!

[Of course, anyone who actually does take the candy samples from her will find themselves, a short time later, undergoing some strange side-effects, ones that no one might necessarily expect, least of all Himawari. Suddenly, her good mood (and lack of good luck) seems to be spreading to others around - and everyone's suddenly just a little bit lovestruck.]

[The effects of the candy will last for as long as half of an hour, or shorter. Your character will eat the candy and then fall in "love" with whoever they happen to see first upon eating that candy. For more information about the original event, go here. The candies being offered will be listed in the cut below.]

action || open to everyone

[How's it going, Kisekians? Are you weirded out or traumatized enough yet? Have you lost your ability to feel anything at all and therefore don't care about trauma? Are you angry because you can no longer tie your shoes?

No worries, though, Miracle Country has just the way to cheer you all up. Stopping the attacks? Please, are you new? Come on. In fact, you might be so not new you might've already spent a whole year here! Kiseki is celebrating opening itself up to more dimensions, not that anyone around would understand that's the point.

In the Sakura park, in place of its usual perpetually pink tree, there'll be a massive, multiple-layered cake, decorated in white and, you guessed it, little pink sakura flowers. On top of it there'll be a candle indicating one, and there'll be small tables with plates and utensils to eat the cake if anyone'd like to. There'll be balloons and confetti falling randomly on people all day, as well as native Kisekians passing around party hats.

It seems even the monsters are celebrating, as today any you encounter will be carrying its own cute party hat as well. Not even being a soulless-NPC can stop Miracle Country's festive cheer!]

[Today seemed as though it would be another quiet day in Miracle Country. Mild weather, a peaceful atmosphere, people probably had no idea anything would soon be wrong when they set off to work, school, or a day of goofing around.

Soon it'll be clear it won't be that simple. Creeping out from the forests and from within the lake or ocean, some creatures will set out to attack others. Becoming impossible to stop at the exact moment of this attack, these monsters will set out to steal something important to people: an ability they have, or an important personality trait, which will now take the form of a tangible, brightly glowing light.

The monsters don't seem to want them for themselves, however. They'll either sneak away quickly, and end up hiding what they took in some difficult place, or they'll challenge the owner - or anyone else who'd like to step up and fight - to a battle for the stolen traits or abilities.

If the creatures get away from you, either because they've gone off to hide your skill/trait or because the battle was lost somehow, the owner of what was lost will always be able to find their skill or trait eventually, as their presence will call back to them. Similarly, if they find someone else's lost skill or trait, they'll be able to know it's not their own. Perhaps they'll want to give it back, too, or maybe even keep it for themselves for a while? While they cannot absorb the abilities or traits themselves, it could be a good way to manipulate others or get a favor from them...]

[[Mingle for the lost traits event! Keep in mind the timing, since any new post opened until the 21st will be happening within the context of this event.]]

❅02 } video

[The video opens to a very comfortable looking Ichiru: he has a blanket draped over his shoulders, there's a partially eaten caramel apple just beside him, and just at the edge of the frame there looks to be a thing of colored pencils and a drawing he's yet to finish.

But that's not the important part.

All of those nice things aside, he looks almost like he's buzzing with delight, violet eyes shining.]

So, I haven't had a fever in a little over a week now, and I haven't tired super easily, like usual. I don't remember every going this long without either or both of those things, not in most all my life. Maybe it's something this world is doing? It's called "Miracle Country," right?

Anyway, um-! I wanna try new things. I even feel a little stronger, but I think it may be a day by day thing? Either way, though. I've been here a while, now, but it's the first I've ever felt like this. So I should get out and experience even more! Which is why I thought to make this video, for suggestions!

[he pauses briefly. the way he's smiling isn't exactly sheepish, but still a slight hesitancy]

It doesn't need to be anything huge, either. I'm. . . really used to having to stay in bed, so. It won't take too much to be fun, new, and even exciting!

[another beat]

AH. And I remember Haru mentioned swimming, already. So I'll definitely try that. But give me more, too!

[ action || open to everyone ]

[Ever since the start of this week, you may have noticed a change in the weather and the general mood of Kiseki. Yes, summer is over. While it was really quite warm following up to this week, this week it's a little cooler, a little crisper - and other than the sakura tree that's always in bloom, all the other trees in the park and forests have begun to change color and fall. Fall is here in Miracle Country!

This week, maybe you need a little adjusting. Need to buy some warmer clothes? Have a sudden urge to eat something pumpkin-flavored or caramel-flavored? There are piles of leaves to hop into, maybe.

And throughout this week, the crisp, clear skies may cloud over and it'll start to drizzle, and sometimes even just rain. It'll drizzle throughout the day with some sun breaks, but it's definitely a clear indication of the change in the seasons.

But when it's not raining, and your character feels like exploring, they'll find literal cornicopias of fruits and vegetables all throughout the garden island, the park, and the forests. Sample them for yourselves, or perhaps make a pie with them.

Autumn is a time of harvest and abundance but also a time of waning sunlight and longer nights... so perhaps you feel that shift in the air, and are left reflecting on it.

Regardless, autumn is here.]

Is it doing what you love that makes you feel free? Reading a book, or watching your favorite film and being immersed into adventures in another land? Learning new skills that make you feel more useful and empowered? Being with your friends?

Kiseki will facilitate these things today. You might find just what you needed set out so you can practice that new skill or sport you wanted to. You may even find all volumes of Love Touch and fulfill your dreams!]

007 ♔ Accidental Video/Action

[It's late in the evening, almost to the point that it's the next morning, and Arthur has gotten used to spending late nights alone, while Merlin is taking care of Freya. He's alone, having decided to get off the main island to spend time on his own, and carries a small lantern with him as he walks along the garden island, searching out Guinevere's favorite flower.]

[He stops walking, gradually, sitting down on a large rock and just staring out over the scenery, without seeming to take it in. He looks up at the stars and moon, and then back down at the lantern]

How strange.

[Does a birthday count, if you're dead? And does a birthday, does an anniversary of a coronation, even count in this land? Should he even wish it to count, when it marks the deaths of both his parents? Still, even so, it's the first one he's ever "celebrated" that hasn't, well, had festivities and it's a strange feeling.]

[He sighs out, and ducks his head - and it is clearly only the trick of the lantern's light that he should seem teary-eyed. It passes just as quickly once he looks up, plucking up a little red flower and tucking it into his buttonhole, wringing his hands absently.]

[No. It's definitely strange to spend it alone, unmarked. Although he knows that at least two people know of the date. Even so.]

[ action || open to everyone ]

[It starts when the sun goes down. The first sign that something is wrong is the water pipe in the hotel lobby breaking and flooding the floor. This, in and of itself, wouldn’t be much of a problem… except it looks like someone has cut the electrical wires that are now sparking dangerously, only a few feet above the floor. There are similar instances of sabotage all over the island: doors locking behind you, wire traps in the park that’ll fire an arrow at you if you accidentally trigger them, the bolts in bicycles loosened so they’re in a danger of falling apart if you drive them – little things that might cause you to be hurt.

And if you’re really unlucky… you might hear something move in the shadows, and when you turn to look, they’re materializing around you; human-shaped, black-clothed warrior spirits, holding a katana and hiding behind a demonic mask. Or perhaps you will hear an incessant buzzing sound that just won’t stop until you give in…

For the next few days, dear Kiseki residents, it’s best to be extra careful, because there’s a fox spirit around to cause chaos, and he won’t be easily stopped.]

[[Stiles is back, and with him, the nogitsune and his Oni are wreaking havoc around the islands! For event details, go here. The event will last through the weekend, and there will be an aftermath post around the 29th or so.]]

[Since Torin doesn't know how people might react to his looks, he's going to keep his first journal entry as text only.]

Greetings, Kiseki. Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Torin, and I have just arrived.

The staff at the Welcome Center have already explained the basics about this strange place… or at least I think I could catch most of what they said. But I have a more specific question. Are there any others from my world here? I am looking for Kiryu Daigo or his friends. I believe there is a good chance that at least some of them are present, given that we seem to have a base.

If any of you are here, please contact me.

001 ↩ Video

[Video | filtered from Madoka; hackable]
For some of you this will come as little surprise but to others, it needs to be said: If any of you are responsible for making Madoka cry or unhappy, you will pay for as much.

[Too many people lately have been too forward with her, or, worse, not as pleasant as they damn well should be.]

I won't presume to say you cannot befriend Madoka, if she so chooses to befriend you. But don't be so lenient and don't you dare upset her in any way - or you will answer to me. Madoka is kind, and will do much to befriend you all - but that doesn't give you the right to take advantage of that kindness.

So be sure you don't overstep. [And out of seemingly nowhere, she draws a gun from behind the little shield on her wrist, frowning at the journal she's spent all afternoon trying to properly figure out. Anyway, grumpy girl with a gun.]

You've been warned of as much. That's all.
