[He's not huge fan of all the candy, but he's managed to find some apples that aren't covered in caramel, so that's a success in his book. He's collecting a bunch of them, intending to save them later. And also munching on one for now because why not.
Of course, he's accompanied by a rather insistent peacock that's sitting on his shoulder. Its first appearance was definitely just Porthos being utterly confused... but now he's just kind of rolling with it. Although true to its inspiration, it is making rather annoyed sounds whenever it feels Porthos isn't giving it enough attention. Like right now, while he's trying to eat his apple in piece, it keeps pecking (very lightly) at his ear. And Porthos has no idea how it can manage to hurt when it's a damn spirit, but there you go.]
I get it... it's not like you can eat. [... Or can it? He eyes it suspiciously, and meanwhile the peacock preens triumphantly, spreading its feathers now that Porthos is giving it proper attention.
Later on, as the day progresses, Porthos will be found following up on the patrolling part of his new job, rather ambivalent about the trees but not about to let that be ignored. Time to investigate.]
