Wan had been keeping to himself so far with all the cold. The fire inside him being all that kept him warm while he used the food he had stored away - mostly hard breads that kept for weeks - to keep himself fed. It wasn't much, and he only ate about one roll a day, but he was used to that. He knew everyone else was sharing what they could find, and he didn't want to take away from what they had.
The only reason he ventured into the main hall of the castle was because his room had gotten so cold that it was starting to make it difficult for him to keep himself warm. Like it was freezing the power of fire out of him. He didn't have any proper training on how to use it. He didn't have any refined control. He just did what felt right at the time.
But with it being dampened, he had to get out and around the others. Despite wanting to warm himself up, he still hung back near the walls of the main hall. He didn't know anyone well enough to curl up next to them for warmth.
Shivering a bit as he finally got to a place he could start attempting to warm up again, he let out a loud sneeze, then cringed, hoping he hadn't disturbed anyone.
