Cuckoo, Air Gear, (Agito/Yayoi/Lind)
Title: Cuckoo
Author: shiegra
Rating: NC17
Wordcount: 545
A/N: I don't think I got this as creepy as I wanted it to be. Oh, well.
Prompt: Air Gear - Agito/Yayoi/Lind - mind fuck - "This is how a real man does things."
Lind surfaces slowly, always, more like a crocodile from the Nile than a shark from the crushing depths. Do I have to show you everything? He asks lazily, and Agito just wants to fucking kill something, with an almost-overwhelming strength.
Too bad the only thing close at hand is Yayoi, laying on her side with her loose nightshirt riding up over the pale, fragile curve of her spine, long dark hair spilling over the pillows. Her eyes are closed, eyelashes a black fan against her cheekbones, and her ribs rise and fall with every steady inhale and exhale, a soft content rhythm.
The Judas cross, carried inside him like an egg, like a tumor, like something too virulent to belief. The wildfire; he blinks and he’s kissing Yayoi’s neck, teeth scraping over the knob of her spine, and she shivers and makes a little sweet sound that yanks all the nerves on his body to life and drags his breath harshly out of his chest.
She murmurs, low and indistinct, and then rolls over. And he feels the bars shudder up, a restraint that keeps him just below the surface, and watches her eyes widen, pupils contracting as she comes fully awake.
“Lind,” she says, and her voice barely hitches, and he thinks she’s amazing. She doesn’t even flinch; but she lies still and tense, shoulders straight, and lifts her chin. “Why are—”
He’s ready to kill himself—rend and rip and tear, an irrational fight—when Lind leans in to kiss her throat, mouth moving against her skin. He smells her, tastes her pulse, the sensations flooding Agito in Technicolor.
Because he knows this, the little gasp she gives when his teeth close a little, the way she arches when he licks over her skin, the restless curling of her fingers. And it might his skin crawl, makes him snarl and fight, to think of Yayoi as a lover to Lind, the monster under his skin. Makes him rattle the bars like a caged animal, as Lind touches her--strokes her with a casual certainty, makes her whine through her teeth, breath hitching, the way Agito hasn't. Yayoi never seemed to care that he wasn't the most careful or experienced partner, but Lind plays her body like a violin until she's arching and whimpering between clenched teeth, hands in fists in the sheets and body singing taut.
This is how a real man does things, Lind tells him with razor-edged mocking, and leans in to bite her, teeth sinking in, a bruised mark like a stamped claim.
That makes her jolt; she grabs his arm, nails sinking in, and gasps out a little broken cry when his fingers curl, body shaking. "Agito...?" She says, and her voice shakes and her pupils are wide open, dazed, but she knows there's something wrong, really wrong--not just with Lind's presence, but in Agito's presence under the skin, reading him like an open book. She's so fucking perceptive it scares him sometimes.
He reaches out, but Lind lowers his head to her neck again and kisses her pulse with eerie tenderness. "Shh," he murmurs, and his voice is an echoing taunt--watch and learn--as his--their--fingers slide deeper and she convulses, barely swallowing a scream.
